Review is for delivery. I was out in Palm Springs with a group of educators visiting classes. We were told that we would order lunch from Aspen Mills Bakery & Bread, so I immediately went to Unilocal to do some reconnaissance. I was all in. Too bad we were limited to the box lunch menu. I wanted to see what the site had to offer but the selections were great. I went with the Mirage salad, spinach, cranberries, feta, cubed grilled chicken served along with some cranberry bread and a cookie. I had to sneak in a bite of the bread and cookie, albeit the cookie was oatmeal raisin. Not a bad deal for lunch at $ 10. Drinks are $ 1 extra for a can of your fave soft drink(limited to coke products). The group I was with ordered a variety of sandwiches and salads. Everything looked great. Marty, the owner was kind enough to bring by our order at the district office. I will definitely make it back to the bakery next time I’m in town.

I am older and have had many sandwiches in my life but without doubt today I had the worst sandwich of my life from Aspen Mills. The written description of the sandwich sounded very good(turkey on cranberry bread) but actually there was so much shredded lettuce on the sandwich it was difficult to find the turkey and when I did find it it was unlike any turkey I have ever seen, sort of shredded like the lettuce. It really didn’t matter because the entire sandwich was tasteless. This was purchased as a take away and had I eaten it in their store I would have asked for a refund. As it is, I just threw it away. Never again. And if their breads are anything like the cranberry bread stay away from it also.

**** LOAFMEDO **** Like most people, I never knew street-side bakeries existed, except for the ones in the movies… For the most part, I bought bread [with an average of 25 ingredients] at Albertson’s, Ralph’s, Stater Bro’s, Trader Joe’s, Walmart or even the 99 Cent Only Store. Looking back, however, I don’t recall that buying bread, from any one of those places, was much different than buying a ream of paper… I bought it. Then, I used it up… When I discovered Aspen Mills Bread & Bakery, I bypassed buying loaves of bread from all the other stores. As a customer, I knew I was getting GLUTEN and/or *GLUTEN-FREE* products with high-quality ingredients that were high in protein, fiber, and other essential nutrients. For example, here is a list of ingredients in a loaf of Gluten Free Multigrain: Brown rice, buckwheat, sorghum and oat flours, tapioca starch, potato starch, vegetable oil, water, sunflower seeds, flaxseed meal, oats, yeast, honey, salt, xanthan gum and vinegar… Below, are some favorites: New York Rye Multigrain(*GLUTEN-FREE* available) Sour Dough(*GLUTEN-FREE* available) Squaw Whole Grain Cinnamon Swirl Banana Nut Muffins Chocolate Chip Cookies(*GLUTEN-FREE* available) Chocolate Fudge Brownies Carrot Raisin Bran Muffins Oatmeal Raisin Cookies(*GLUTEN-FREE* available) Pumpkin Raisin Nut Muffins Gourmet Sandwiches…(*GLUTEN-FREE* available) c(-;}

Visited for the first time a couple weeks ago and omg, I was in carb heaven! Everything is baked fresh daily and the smell when you walk is enough to get you drooling. The girl at the counter was sooo helpful and sweet. I was having a tough time deciding what to get and she let us try the brownies and several delicious muffins. All excellent. Decided on a loaf of amazing sourdough bread, some wonderful cinnamon bread, a BIG brownie and the veggie sandwich. All of it was excellent and I can’t wait to return to Palm Springs and try more of their delicious offerings!

I just got a roast beef sandwich here … it looked like roast beef but it was completely tasteless. The sandwich tasted like pure bell peppers. When I took the bell peppers out, it tasted like nothing. I took a total of 3 bites before giving up.

I’ve only had their sandwiches as part of what is included in the lunceon package at the Santiago Resort, but they do make a delcious sandwhich. I’ve had both the Tuna Salad and the Chicken Breast and you really can’t go wrong with a sandwhich here. Terrific breads, nicely presented sandwhiches with fruit and a delicous cookie. You may also like one of their other sides(you get a choice). Looking forward to going back to the resort just for the lunches… WooHoo!

If I won the lottery the first thing I would do is open an Aspen Mills next door to my house so I could eat there everyday… oh… and make a few extra bucks on the side I guess! I always have a hard time ordering here because, literally, everything on the menu is fresh and delicious! I have been coming here for years and have always loved their breads, sandwiches, salads, and brownies.- just to name a few. The staff is always very friendly and helpful! Thanks Aspen Mills, you guys are awesome!

Great for your starch fueled cravings of bread and such !!! Awesome sandwiches served cold or hot; with traditional butcher paper and everything! And you get an individually wrapped pickle with a small portion of potato salad as well… Trace is the man; and will gladly offer recommendations with a smile. They even have free wifi *(for you business types). I will be back when im in town again thats a promise

Pretty boring selection of sandwiches and I am sorry to say that my bread was dry and didn’t taste too good. Having eaten at TKB a number of times, there is no comparison(sorry Aspen Mills). Staff were great and friendly and they gave me a sample of brownie for dessert that was good.

Came in for some baked goodies the other day! The bag of peanut butter cookies and the pecan bran muffin were great! The blueberry muffin wasn’t up to my expectations because it had lemon zest, and I hate that stuff. I wished the label stated that.

Aspen Mills… Mmmmm two of my fave things: bakery + sandwiches = tasty goodness! When we walked in, Aspen Mills has the comfy vibe of being around for nearly 20 years. They have a great selection of well-crafted sandwiches on their delicious variety of bread, which come with a side of potato salad and a pickle… all for around $ 8.50. Tempting baked treats beckon as well. We ordered: Aspen…Turkey inc. cucumbers, guac… on Cranberry Bread… gobbled…yum Hacienda…Chicken inc guac… on 9-grain Bread… fresh and tasty Choc Fudge Brownie… chocolatey, verrrry rich and big… good but too sweet Banana Nut Loaf Bread… packed with bananas… dense and delish Chocolate Bread… chocolatey…dense and delish The front entrance is cramped where the register is but just beyond it you can stand or sit surrounded by racks of(14+) daily breads($ 4.50-$ 5 mostly) and(2 – 4) featured breads of the day that are delicious as well as 5-pks of giant cookies($ 5) and other goodies for sale. There is outdoor seating(overlooking…a strip mall parking lot). There are no fats, oils, dairy, processed sugar etc in their breads but curiously the breads we bought had no labels/ingredient list inside package… but we love the bread. They have great sandwiches and baked goods. Bottom Line: Deli Sandwiches + Breads + Baked Goods = delicious
