I had a great experience! Harrison was very attentive and super helpful. I just said give me two of his favorites without knowing what he liked and he did not disappoint! The cauliflower and the chicken was on point.

2016 Valentine’s Brunch! Chi Chi’s is a must try! Loved the Avacado Toast x 2 please with coconut fried eggs, a Julienne of raw beets and radish and truffle salt! And for the Avacado Lover, Ruby Grapefruit segments and prawn salad with a light Citrus olive oil and coarse pink Peruvian salt sprinkle! The Avalon Hotel grounds are beautiful!

Cannot say enough about Chi Chi or the staff at Chi Chi and the Avalon. Even locals love this place, and for good reason. The service is excellent, not overbearing and perfectly timed. The ambiance here is spectacular, day or night… We stayed for 3 nights and had trouble leaving the hotel for any amount of time — because why leave when you have great food, service, poolside dining and a comfortable bed nearby? Among four of us, we tried many dishes. Our standouts were the avocado toast, fish tacos and the chi chi burger. Their guac and chips came in really handy for late night as well. We awoke to hot french press with real cream… and fell cozy to bed with prosecco or mint tea. The staff at Chi Chi was over the top accommodating. Rachel and her peeps made sure no details were missed. We can’t thank you enough and will be staying with you and dining with you for many more trips to the desert. Keep it up.

Had a staycation at the Avalon Hotel this weekend and my experience was amazing! The entire staff was extremely accommodating, and made my experience one to remember. Everyone really goes above and beyond at this resort. As it relates to Chi Chi, the food and service are above par. Started off with brunch(room service); the brioche french toast is a MUSTHAVE, and the salmon lox Benedict was honestly the best I’ve ever had. The quality and presentation of the food was perfect! Came down and dined outside for lunch after checkout and had another great experience. The manager Mike came to our table to make sure we were completely satisfied(which is always nice), and our server was extremely attentive as well. I give this restaurant and resort 5 stars without a doubt, and will definitely be back to enjoy this hidden gem. Thank you to all the staff at Avalon Hotel Palm Springs.

Based on the reviews, we came here for happy hour. It was a very slow Sunday, and we were one of three tables in the entire place. We sat outside by the pool under a heater and were quickly informed that happy hour is only available inside at the bar. No problem. We decided to stay at our table and assumed the prices wouldn’t be that different. Fast forward to the bill arriving. We were charged $ 18 per Hendricks martini, which is outrageous. This isn’t LA. We had dinner at Le Vallareus the night before and even they only charge $ 14 for the exact same cocktail — and their pours are more generous. On the positive side, the beef empanadas were some of the best I’ve had. Bottom line: nice setting, but we’ll be spending our money elsewhere. This place obviously thinks that it’s something it’s not.

We had a most excellent brunch! We ordered several things to share and everything was delicious. We sat outside by the pool and the setting was lovely. Excellent and attentive service in a chic and modern atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in PS.

What’s there not to love about this place? Beautiful décor, vibrant colors, nice service… then…amazing food. I came her a few weekends ago for a girlfriend’s birthday brunch and all of the food that I had was excellent. Their breakfast sandwich is delicious as is their shrimp burger. NOMNOMNOM, I love good food!

Loved Chi Chi! We ate there by default because we were staying at the Avalon and ended up really liking it! We had dinner and breakfast. Loved them both. Incredibly friendly staff and fun décor. We would absolutely eat there again and are happy we found a new restaurant to frequent in Palm Springs.

A cute and little restaurant next to pool area at Avalon hotel. Went for Sunday brunch, weather was perfect, loved the patio seatings, so comfy and relaxing. I am a very brunchy person, I just LOVE brunch food and drinks. Goose vodka Bloody Mary was so spicy and yummy, it’s my hangover drink, it works very well for me, hubby liked his mimosa too. I had eggs benedict with smoked salmon and caviar, a side of fried cauliflower. OhMY, the benedict was so delicious, the hollandaise sauce was one of the best I have ever tasted. The fried cauliflower was bomb, loved the jalapeño in it, SOGOOD! Hubby had breakfast eggs and bacon sandwich, roasted potatoes. I am never happy when hubby eats bacon, it’s just as bad as cigarettes and alcohol now. But he just loves bacon, oh well, as long as he doesn’t eat it everyday… Food was beyond delicious, one of the best brunch food I have ever had in a long time! Now I know where to get great brunch in Palm Springs, Chi Chi at Avalon hotel!

Solid 4. We came here for brunch while staying at the hotel during the LDW. We used to come here quite often when it was still Citron and I’m glad the restaurant basically has remained the same, despite a new name, management and apparently, menu. I had the smoked salmon benedict, which maybe is prepared slightly differently now but seems to be the same, in my opinion. If you can bear the heat, it’s a much nicer scene on the patio. However, if it’s too hot, there is an abundance of indoor seating as well. Also live that they are kid– and pet-friendly!

I felt like a kid in a candy shop as soon as I stepped inside The Avalon. The décor is amazing and I wish I could just live here! All the little details within this hotel space tie together into my dream hotel. Super retro and chic! The Chi Chi is located outside, adjacent to the pool. There is a covered section of seating and outdoor seating which is closer to the pool, but both sections still feel the heat. Come early if the weather is super hot(which is probably will be). Brunch me! I ordered the lamb belly hash and a detox drink(in hope my hangover would disappear) The server was so kind to give me a to-go bottle of the juice along with the serving I had with my meal — yesss! The lamb belly hash was so delish! fatty goodness with a fried egg on top. All of the other menu options looked great, so it was hard to choose. My friends ordered the French toast and chilequiles, both of which looked bomb. I want to stay at this hotel soon! and definitely come back for

I absolutely loved everything about this restaurant and hotel. The hotel and the whole property is a typical 1960s building with an un announced entrance. However, when you enter its pure glamor. The whole staff was extremely friendly and super helpful and knowledgable about all their dishes. The restaurant is completely outdoor and you can choose to eat by the pool or to the side of the building. So keep the Heat in mind. I came here for breakfast with friends and I had the brioche French toast. It was very delicious. The brioche French toast comes cubed which is unique. The texture of the French toast is extra moist and the stone fruit extract garnish give it a very unique sour taste. My friend had the pork belly hash which was really good and not heavy at all. She also ordered one of their juices and it was phenomenal. She liked it so much that they gave her a complimentary juice to take home. Now that’s service. You will not be disappointed if you come here.

On Sunday 8÷9÷2015 we had a Bachelorette party of 10 looking to grab brunch. We headed to Cheekys but unfortunately they were closed for a few weeks. The sign outside said to try their sister store Chi Chi’s so that’s what we did. We were a little skeptical as we pulled up to an older looking hotel/motel. But it couldn’t have been more perfect. They only have outside seating but they were able to fit all 10 of us with no problem. The food and service was amazing. I don’t think we had a clean plate in the house. Must try the pancakes! Definitely surprising for what looked like a hole in the wall. If I am ever in Palm Springs again I will definitely go back.

I wanted to bring my son to a nice place for our Sunday dinner. So on a whim, I drove to chi chi. I was a bit skeptical because I really enjoyed workshop last time I was in Palm Springs, but why not. I love trying new places. I was surprised as to how good this place was. Service could’ve been a lot more attentive but I think they were maybe short staffed for a Sunday evening. Will be back! :)

A bit of warning: this café is outside right by the pool. And although covered and fanned, in the summer, it is blazing hot. Parking is valet mostly. This was our last stop on our Ladies Slumber Party in the Desert and I had looked up the menu online and was thoroughly impressed. Mimosas and lots of healthy mixed in with naughty, like my yam and pork hash which was SUBLIME! Loved the pork with the quinoa and veggies and of course, the quintessential egg on top. The gals liked their avocado toast which looked divine and the healthiest of our set ordered the egg white frittata and gave it a thumbs up. Service is spotty but earnest and we walked away feeling happy and not greasafied, which after a night of drinking, was exactly what we needed.

Totally loved it!!! They had the same bread as Cheeky’s– I had the avocado on grain bread with beets– omg! Perfect portion! Coffee was awesome too. Hubby had the Pork Belly scramble with quinoa– per our waiters suggestion– he loved it! We will be back!

So good! I brought a friend here a few days ago and we were both delighted with the food, the service and the ambiance. My friend had the jerk chicken which I tried… very tasty! I had the seafood paella, which was the best paella I’ve ever had. I will definitely be back!

The Chef from Cheeky’s has just taken the old Viceroy hotel restaurant to an entirely new level. Just looking at the menu makes me hungry. It’s like eating at Cheeky’s but without the huge line because — so far — this place is still a relatively well-kept secret. We’ve eaten here twice, now, and have loved it each time. Update: We went back again — as usual — the food was terrific. But, if the restaurant manager is paying attention, I should add that the table top when we sat down was covered in food from the previous guests, and the place was empty. Those tie-dye runners are filthy.
