They were dishonest with me from the very beginning. I was an owner who rented my house through them. I kept my place well stocked for the tenants. I also furnished it with many conveniences. I was very proud of my house and wanted guests to feel equally comfortable. After the first season the problems began. When I came out to check on it at the end of the season, all of the supplies I had stocked it with were gone. Also gone were my toaster oven, iron, Egyptian cotton linens(in their place were cheap sheets from Target), coffee grinder and the list went on. When I questioned them, they denied it and took offense that I would question them. I replaced all the items only to have them disappear the following season. My tenants were members of the Israeli Consulate and elderly Canadian Snow Birds. None of those people would be interested in packing up toaster ovens and irons to carry overseas. A friend of mine was going to spend the weekend at the house when it wasn’t rented out. When he arrived, the maids(that I was required to use) had three large black trash bags sitting at my front door filled with my items. When he told me, I should have called the police. When I reported the incident to the people at The Rental Connection, they became very rude, defensive and they told me that«I was the problem.» Stealing from my house was only a small part of my problems with them. They gouged me every chance they had from exaggerated charges for minor repairs made to charging me for cleaning the place that was never done. It was one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. I fired them. In the future, I will rent the place out myself.
