Fire Island Grill

I went on a ride-​along in Palmdale the other day and stopped for a quick dinner at Fire Island Grill with my new deputy sheriff friend. He suggested the place (and apparently eats here all the time), and I don’t think I’ve ever said no to a rice bowl. It was a delicious end to a pretty fascinating day. (I won’t Unilocal the sheriff’s station, as I barely spent any time there, so this rice bowl will do for my OCD Unilocal diary purposes.)
The place was empty near closing time on a Sunday, with plenty of tables to choose from. It was a casual spot, fast food Hawaiianish with the Chipotle-​style customization model. Service was fast and friendly. I built my own rice bowl with white rice, chicken, steak, and Fire Island teriyaki sauce, and it came with a nice scoop of sautéed vegetables on top – broccoli, onions, zucchini, and bell peppers, I think. This really hit the spot, especially with some sriracha. I just love a spicy teriyaki rice bowl, and the meat, rice, and vegetables were all pretty decent. I appreciated that there was sriracha available in squeeze bottles with the caps removed, because fuck drizzling when you can just dump tablespoons of sriracha straight onto your dinner.
I inhaled my rice bowl and would definitely come back if I needed a quick meal in Palmdale. (Fire Island, though pretty chain-​like in set-​up, is actually one of only two locations, as far as I can tell.) It’s the kind of spot that I’d use to fuel up if I worked nearby – easy fast food that’s as satisfying as it is functional.

One of my go to restaurants in Palmdale. The employees are always friendly, the service is always fast, and the food is always delicious. I use to eat here every day because its just that good. My favorite dish is the Steak Sandwich. I recently tried the tilapia and that was amazing too.

Food is affordable with a coupon. The steak sandwich upset my stomach, but it was very good. I always ask for extra sauce because they are kind of stingy on the sauce. The food is very good. I go about once per month.

I haven’t been here in awhile but the few times I went here it was great. I remember getting the chicken teriyaki bowl or something like that and it was delicious.
The price was fair and the serving was filling. I would go there again with my buddies.

I tried the noodle bowl with chicken and beef and lava peanut sauce and it was ok. The peanut sauce was heavy and rich. Next time I think I’ll try the teriyaki sauce instead.

So I went here for the first time tonight with a friend after a few people that I knew had recommended this place to me. I was skeptical at first, but after reading the reviews online, I decided to give the place a shot and I am gad that I did.
I got the Volcano salad and for the price the salad was huge. I was not expecting it to be so big. The portion size was amazing and the flavors were perfect. I will definitely be trying this place again as their menu is expansive and you can choose to make your own bowl or platter.
Definitely don’t knock this place until you have tried it for yourself.

favorite is the steak and shrimp, med rare, over noodles or island rice and tge coconut sauce. Ordering is easy. pick your protien, rice or noodles and sauce. quick tasty healthy option.

Quick service and good food in nice sized portions. There wasn’t a very long line at my last visit and had no problem seating ourselves. It was really clean and a nice meal with friends. It isn’t my personal favorite, but I wouldn’t be opposed to coming back again.

Char Grilled Steak Sandwich is AWESOME. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Went with my family and we enjoyed our experience very much. Looking forward to our next visit!

Another unique restaurant for the AV. I can’t say there’s anything quite like Fire Island Grill out here. The food is always good. They have a pretty simple menu with Hawaiian style flavors and ingredients. The staff is very courteous and helpful. I highly recommend the island rice and the fire island sauce for your bowl. Pretty reasonably priced for your portions, comparable to higher quality fast food places like Chipotle and The Habit.

This place was better then expected. Its like a Chipotle in that you create your dish. Only it uses Hawaiian inspired ingredients. It’s either rice or noodles then a meat and/​or vegetables. If not you can also get a sandwich, which is made to order. I decided to go with rice, chicken, beef, random veggies, and a peanut sauce. Sounds wierd but I totally enjoyed what I got. Came to around $ 8 with drink. Portion size is good enough to fill you up with just a bowl but I believe you can also get a platter if you want more.
The establishment is well kept and is pretty chill inside. The customer service was pretty cool too. I told them it was my first time and they let me sample items I wasn’t so sure of, like the sauces. Overall it was pretty good and decently priced, I will make a return in the future.

I’ve been here a couple of times and I love the service! However, this very last time I visited my service was OVER THE TOP amazing! The guy that helped me, his name is Irving, was the sweetest and his customer service was off the chain :) !! He literally took his time serving us and even when we were eating he came to make sure everything was well! All the employees were great! Keep up the awesome job kayle, moe, Amanda and Irving!
I don’t see these people as employees at Fire grill, I’ve built a friendship with them because of their awesome personalities!

Awesome Hawaiian dishes (bowls and plates), island atmosphere, 50s and 60s music, reasonably priced. Try the create your own «Fire Island Bowl» with Pulled Pork and Steak.

I really dig this place. The times I’ve stopped have been on the way to/​from Santa Barbara, Oxnard, etc. They must get a lunch line because the times I’ve visited its been pretty quiet but in looked at the other reviews I’m glad they get the business because I really like the food.
I’ve only ordered the bowls and those have been pretty filling. Its a similar format most are used to. Pick your choice of meat, rice and some ingredients and sauce. I really like their coconut rice. The flavors are like a teriyaki bowl but with Hawaiian flavors. I’ll be back to visit.

First time here but me and my husband really liked it… I must say their food has a lot of flavor and very fresh… We will definitely come back to try their other food. I don’t know what to expect… both me and husband order the platter, the lady asked me very surprised if I really want a platter and I said yes… When she gave me the plate I understand why she was surprised… that plate can feed 4 people OMG… Both me and hubby had left overs. We will be back
