It is really hit or miss with this place sometimes I’ve had the best food and I’ve had the worst food. The staff can be friendly at times and those times it’s a really enjoyable stay. But if they are busy the service is just aweful. Those times we would have to wave her down just to get our water refilled. The place is always crowded on the weekends sometimes you have to wait about 30 minutes to be seated then to just get bad service. I only come at the odd points of the day. Never any other time.

This is a perfect all-American restaurant! I had the BEST breakfast here this morning — scrambled eggs, perfect hash browns, delicious french toast and best of all — REINDEERSAUSAGE! Yes! So good. Great waitress too. Love eating here…

Pleasant atmosphere, but the food was almost all packaged mediocrity. The Hollandaise sauce came from a packet. The hashbrowns were the best part of the meal. At $ 12.95, I’d expect homemade hollandaise.

YUM! We eat here our fist morning in Palmer. Great Breakfast! My wife and mother in-law shared a meal and I had my own. I had the skillet with ham and pancakes. Wow big portions and good eats. The other two had eggs hash browns and pancakes. Great overall breakfast. Great atmosphere! Funny signs to read while you wait for your food at the table and great wait staff. Over all a great experience on our first morning and we will be going back before we leave for the airport in 2 days.

I’m quite happy I got a chance to stop here for lunch on my recent trip to Alaska. The in-laws live in Palmer and while driving into two from the airport, I saw this place and thought it looked«homey». A perfect place for some comfort food? Perhaps. After some disc golf at Peters Creek with my father-in-law, I decided to buy us lunch here on the way back into town. Walking in, it’s exactly what you would expect from a small town dinner. Lots of pictures of local landmarks on the walls, along with silly word placards quoting various sayings and whimsical proverbs. It just felt like a place where locals would come and have a cup of coffee… but also a place where visitors can stop for a meal while traveling through the vast wilderness of Alaska. Ordered up a bowl of their homemade chilli and one of their Jalapeño Burgers. The chilli had a good spicy taste and the Jalapeño Burger tasted and looked like a hand-formed burger with all the fresh fixings. My only complaint would come from the fact that the jalapenos were on the side, not on the burger… could have just called it a Cheeseburger and asked for a side of jalapenos. Whatever the case may be, the quality of the burger MADE the meal. It came with a side of onion rings which weren’t soggy or greasy, but crunchy and dry on the outside, moist on the inside. Service was not overly friendly nor overly rude, just«order up and get on with it» attitude(the place was pretty packed). I would definitely come back here the next time I up in the Palmer area and would highly suggest it to anyone who is passing through for good home-cooked meal.

The food is 4-star but getting service with an attitude makes this place a 5-star experience. The place also goes by the name«The Noisy Goose Café» — — - which should really be changed to «The Sassy Goose Café». Great service by people who know how to treat their customers well. Great atmosphere — great pie and good home-cooked food.

This is my favorite place to eat in Palmer. The atmosphere is awesome. They have tons of entertaining signs to read. The halibut sandwich and beer battered fries are excellent. The staff can be slow at times, but still a great place to visit.

Up until I joined the Navy, I’d been living in Alaska for going on a decade. I’ve been here more times than I can remember, and I’ve never been disappointed with the service or the food. The restaurant itself has an excellent ambience to it, with various hardy Alaskan signs and posters hanging around, as well as various taxidermy here and there. The staff are all friendly, and the menu is laid out pretty clearly(as well, there’s an entertaining two-page story behind the«history» of the place; read it the next time you’re there if you haven’t). Their food is great, and for the cost the portions are incredible. I especially love the fact that all food is available throughout the entirety of the day, and to that end my two regulars have become the BLT and the ham and cheese omelets. Tried one of their pies this evening – two slices of the peanut butter crunch, to be specific – and they’re definitely not worth the cost of admission. They’re not bad pies, mind you, they’re just not worth $ 5.00/slice or $ 30.00/pie. Not when you can go up to Carrs and get a full-blown pie for about $ 10.00. Still, awesome restaurant.

It’s always busy — packed with locals and visitors alike. Last trip there was for breakfast. About a 15 minute wait, but not too bad. Previous experience — can be tricky to get in and out in an hour lunch break. Portions are good sized and the food is pretty good. Better than the Valley Hotel IMO.

Surprisingly, the Noisy Goose was nice, quiet, and warm on the chilly winter morning where I enjoyed my breakfast. Parking is ample, and the building itself has a very homey feel. The banana nut Belgian waffles are delectable, topped with whipped cream, a handful of crushed walnuts, sliced bananas, and served with a side of maple syrup. I love carbs, so you can bet I chowed down on the waffle like a wild animal. I skipped the syrup since it tends cause sogginess. I added on a side of buttered toast with jam, later regretting it(especially for almost $ 1 per slice!). Definitely a bit steep in pricing for breakfast, and I’ve had better for less back home. Service was nice — the wait staff are friendly, albeit a bit slow. I don’t remember what my sister ordered, as it wasn’t memorable. I’ve noticed that service is slow overall at many of the eateries in Wasilla. This doesn’t work well if you’re on a time crunch.

Meh, it’s an ok place but probably gets more business due to a lack of local options than it does because of it’s great food. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve eaten here many times with will in the future. The waitresses are usually quite helpful, pleasant, and easy on the eyes. prices are a little steep for what you get.

Also called«The Noisy Goose» this has been a favorite for us to bring the kids to — they loved(and stayed occupied) watching the geese and duck decoys floating from the ceiling. The food is good. The eggs benedict are very rich, the baked potatoes are good and the deep fried halibut is done English style with thick but crispy batter. You can’t go wrong on the menu — good diner food mainly. Skip the steaks though — they are not open fire grilled and come out tough. Save room for pie and go look in the carousel at the varieties they offer. Lately it seems that no matter when we go, it’s packed and noisy beyond belief with cell phones and super loud talking. You almost have to shout to be heard — the dining area is wide open and elevated in the center like an island. We can live with all of that but what we can’t live with now is their prices. Even the children’s menu is expensive and they will soak you almost $ 3 for a soda. A milkshake will set you back about $ 7 if I remember.(I just remember being outraged and telling my daughter, «we can’t afford that, get water.») We might not balk at how they upped their prices when the cost of fuel skyrocketed last summer, but the prices have come down and they should lower their prices too. If I want to eat in a screaming noisy diner, I expect to pay less. The owner’s need to lower their prices and we will be happy again.
