Great place with excellent friendly service. The atmosphere is very Alaska and the employees are always busy and working hard. The burgers and halibut is excellent. This place was packed and the wait was minimal and well worth the stop. I will be back. Pleasantly surprised at the prices, very affordable! Great job folks. Thanks!

Service is usually very good. Sometimes you have to wait for a table, they do tend to get busy, but I’ve never had to wait too long. Food is average. It’s not great, but not bad. It’s one of the better restaurants in town. It’s the only restaurant I actually order something different from everytime. If you are in Palmer, this would be the place to go.

Disappointed. Like the new upgrade dining area but service was rushed, Pancakes doughy. Good place if your in a hurry to get somewhere. At least today.

3.5 stars for the food which was average but being one of the few breakfast places in Palmer I couldn’t complain. The service was great and given how busy it was we did not have to wait long. My husband and I had the everything but the kitchen sink skillet while our son enjoyed a waffle.

ADORABLE. Warm and cozy. Typical diner food, but sometimes you just NEED that type of comfort, you know? They pour you a cup of coffee the second you sit down! What’s not to love? We started with corn fritters because obviously. They were marvelous. I’d walk from Eagle River to Palmer in the snow and ice for those suckers. I devoured my crab melt and my husband enjoyed his Reuben. We followed with dessert– pie for him and a big ol milkshake for me. I almost didn’t finish because my seams were so close to busting, but I persevered.

Great place to eat! They serve breakfast all day, which I love. I had an ham and cheese omelette with pancakes and hash browns. Delicious and generous portion. The pancakes were a bit over done, but still good. Everything else was spot on. My wife had the chicken fried chicken with a baked potato and mash potatoes. Everything seemed was made from scratch and the chicken especially was delicious(I had a bite). My wife liked the potato and mashed potatoes too. The service was pretty good too with coffee and water given the minute we were seated. The environment was nice too. I like all the creative and funny signs. Overall, very satisfied and we’ll be back if we travel through again. Next time I’ll try lunch or dinner food.

Classic diner fare in Palmer. I usually go here for an early breakfast after Northern Lights hunting up in Hatcher Pass or before ice climbing an hour east in Caribou Creek. It’s really the only place open early for breakfast in this area. All the standards: bacon & eggs, hash browns, toast, pie, etc are represented. The waitresses are all friendly and make you feel at home. Never been for lunch and dinner so I can’t comment on how they compare.

Another spot on joint here in the valley. Kitty corner from the fair grounds, this place has great food and excellent service. A go to place for breakfast, lunch and dinner, you won’t go away hungry or broke. Really good food and atmosphere. Alot of the locals are regulars and go there a few times a week. It is a small building and because of that, there is frequently a wait to get a table. Don’t let that discourage you. Try it, you won’t be sorry.

I just love this place. They are always welcoming. They have the sweetest people there. And their pies are super yummy. They are down to earth, rustic, country charm is a perfect representation of Palmer.

We were on our way back to anchorage from Denali and stopped for a short hike at thunderbird falls. After the walk we were looking for dinner, but nothing in anchorage was looking good. My boyfriend was craving meatloaf, so we searched it out. Came across Noisy Goose. The price was right and while in the opposite direction of our end goal, it wasn’t that far. My boyfriend ordered the meatloaf and I got the chicken fried chicken. He got mashed potatoes and I got rice pilaf. We both got the dinner salad side. I honestly expected a wedge of iceberg and a tomato, so I was pleasantly surprised when I got a bed of romain lettuce with cherry tomatoes and banana peppers. A solitary cucumber slice adorned my plate as well. It was a decent side salad and bumped this review from a 3 to a 4. The chicken was cooked well, the rice pilaf was kind of meh. My boyfriend said he liked his meatloaf. Just looking at his plate though, I felt there wasn’t enough meatloaf to justify a $ 14.50 price tag, and to make matters worse the potatoes had the look and consistency of instant potatoes. That’s just unacceptable to me. No restaurant should ever serve instant potatoes. It’s a item that you can make a large batch and reheat, so there’s no excuse. I also thought there was too much gravy for the meager amount of meatloaf on the plate. That’s me though, my bf enjoyed it. Overall, not a bad place, interesting décor and reasonably good food.

Ordered two dishes to-go. The server gave me a verbal total which didn’t quite make sense – I was in a rush so paid without asking questions. Upon later investigation, it appears I was charged $ 2.50 more than what was listed on the menu. I messaged the restaurant and found that there was a 10% to-go fee that was omitted from the newly-printed menus. They said the fee has now been dropped, but I’d ask to be sure. Salad was fine; chopped steak was missing onions and peppers and was dry and disappointing.

Good place for everything you need. Good breakfast, lunch or dinner. Large place with great ambience. One problem is that it is right next to the highway so arriving and leaving are sometimes tricky. I wish the parking was easier too.

My husband and I wanted to try something new and break away from the usual. It took us a good 30 minutes to get here and the great reviews had me ready to try this place out! My experience started off as a 4, almost 5 stars. Their Christmas décor was still up so the place looked amazing. I was mesmerized by the beautiful décor and how cozy it felt inside. They had this awesome Christmas town on display behind glass and I couldn’t help but stand there and admire this display. This is a very family-friendly establishment and their atmosphere is very homey and cozy. It was wonderful. I really liked the feel of this place! We were seated immediately and handed some me us. Our waitress wasn’t the most chipper but whatever, we placed our orders. When our food came, my experience quickly dwindled to 3 stars. I ordered the prawns dinner with fries and a side of chili(chili had an upcharge). When it comes to dining out I care alot about the details of my meal. At about $ 22 this place was nothing spectacular. What really bothered me was that the prawns and fries were just blatantly sitting on the plate and no kind of sauce what so ever for those naked prawns(see picture). My upcharged chili didn’t even have crackers or anything with it just the chili. I ended up asking the waitress for sauce to which she mentioned that they had several and I could only think well why serve these yummy, crunchy prawns without any of those sauces? That’s an epic fail in my opinion. I finally got crackers for the chili and cocktail sauce for me shrimp but by then I had been waiting a bit and just annoyed. Despite this hiccup, the prawns were deliciously crunchy and that was the highlight of my meal. Overall I think I can get similar if not better food elsewhere. $ 22 is too steep for this kind of presentation. Their ambiance is what made this place a great experience for me.
