This was my first time at the manatee county fair and I thought it was a very good fair overall. I liked the police presence I felt safe with my kids. Our highlights were the rides for my kids and I enjoyed seeing the arts and crafts submitted to be judged. I discovered something new, Amish doughnuts and pretzels. The line was long but worth it. I’d skip the $ 5 strawberry shortcake, the Mexican food was very good and a person commented how great their food was and how lucky we were to have them. Didn’t try any of the various wacky fried food offerings too many to name: Oreos, twinkies, butter, candy bars, etc. The rides were much nicer than I remember any fair rides, big, safe and lots of them. We went on one of the last nights and the freezing cold could have kept some away but we were lucky to have shorter wait times for most rides. A must stop for our family in 2017.

This was our 1st time at the Manatee County Fair & I thought it was amazing! I was pleasantly surprised by the number of rides they have for the little kids. Children under 5 get in free so it made it worthwhile to buy tickets(although, I thought having 3 – 5 tickets for every ride was a bit much). They had typical fair food BUT I didn’t find any fried Oreos, snickers, or twinkles; that was very disappointing(the only reason I wanted to go). $ 5 for parking $ 8 adult admission $ 4 slice of cheese pizza $ 8 Philly cheesesteak(it was horrible) $ 3 bottles water $ 5 watered down lemonade $ 5 pony ride(very cool) $$$ ride tickets Great place to take the kiddos!
