My mom and I always search for cafes. She is a lighter eater so their menu’s tend to suit her better. Also, they usually offer a better drink selection. And that is how we found Lisa’s; another of the many restaurants along the stretch of road between my home and Walmart –and one of the best. For those who don’t know, Lisa’s Café is known for their Reubens(among other things). Let me support that point: they have great Reubens. Great in size, great in flavor, on great bread; yeah, they’re pretty great. So are the waffle fries that you can get when you order one. As are the sweet potato fries. We also tried their stuffed french toast and grilled sticky bun. Two more winners they have to offer. I imagine the rest of their menu upholds this standard. I know cranberry chicken salad and apple crescents do. Now, both times I have been here I ate outdoors; the weather was just that nice. But I still had to go inside to pay, and that made me want to eat indoors. Its such a cool looking café. It’s decorated in a way that pops, but is modest –though it does seem to get crowded. Another thing noticed and admired were the table caddies. Why? Because the little baskets, neat in design, are humbly altered to match each season: colored napkins, festive garnish and so on. To anyone who has never stopped here, especially to those that frequent The Filling Station, it is time to mix it up a bit; Lisa’s won’t disappoint! And to everyone else: ditto.

I came here a few times and the food was good. Nice small family restaurant. I probably would go here more often if they had internet access. I don’t store my pictures on my phone so it would be nice if I could bring up the photos from the internet to show to my friends and relatives.

Excellent choice for a quality, fast and friendly breakfast. I was greeted almost immediately. Sat within a couple minutes on a busy Sunday morning. Served right away and the food tastes great. I tried a veggie omelet with pepper jack cheese. It was delicious. The thick sliced wheat toast was really good. I’ll be back but why not 5 stars? I’m looking for some simple gourmet options, eg, fresh squeezed juice, avocados, a unique selection of egg sandwiches.

If you’re looking for fine dining, this isn’t it but if you want good food and plenty of it this is the place! A friend and I had dinner here tonight and the staff was very friendly and helpful, the menu is extensive and everything we had was delicious. We shared an appetizer of Old Bay fries and that should have been our first clue we’d need take out boxes. I had chicken with apple and brie, a nice salad and a side of alfredo pasta all of which were very tasty and I warn you, the portions are large so come hungry! My friend had her first Reuben and was thrilled she could choose the meat from four selections and one of portabella mushrooms. I also took a Stromboli home for my hubby and I got out of there for thirty dollars. Good food, fair prices and a very attentive wait staff tell me I will be back!

Had the breakfast special omelet today of bacon, tomato and black pepper jack cheese. It was great and for only $ 8.00 including awesome home fries. The toast was homemade-style bread. The service was impeccable and the food came out fast and hot. I havent been to Lisa’s in awhile but will make a point of coming back very soon!

Love this place. My brother lives in Harrisburg so I’ve been here a couple of times. It’s run like a family owned business in a little town so the charm and clientele add to the great food. Scrapple is pretty good considering what scrapple is. Best I’ve had. Today I had the corned beef Benedict and I wish I could go back for a second helping it was that good. Nicely poached egg sitting atop a generous portion of lean and shaved corn beef over a perfectly buttered and toasted English muffin. Then dowse that with a great hollandaise sauce and just wow. The only real downside is you almost always have to wait but the wait is worth it. Definitely give it a look.

Don’t let the diner-like exterior fool you… Lisa’s is a small local gem of a restaurant. I have tried many of the menu’s offerings. I have never been disappointed. Seriously, they make a Reuben that rivals any in NYC. Service is always pleasant, and they don’t turn-over waitstaff often at all, which shows a good deal about management. They all exude pride in working there, which is something few and far between in today’s world. It’s easy to miss if you’re driving along 422, but don’t make it a habit to pass it up. It really is good.

Heads-up for vegetarians: you can order a reuben here with portobello mushroom instead of pastrami! This was an exciting find, and I highly recommend it. We also tried the grilled vegetable hero. Be forewarned that the portions are absolutely huge; neither of us could finish our plates. The fried pickles were delicious. The food was served hot and arrived at the table quickly. The ambience is cozy and quiet. They turned the fireplace on during our meal; as it was freezing outside, this was a very homey touch. The staff is helpful and friendly.

Spent the night in Palmyra and we were looking for a place to have breakfast after church Sunday morning. From their website this place looked neat and their breakfast menu looked appetizing. Seeing how tiny this place is, we were expecting a long wait but we were seated right away. I don’t know how to describe it but this place is just down-home charming. From the décor to the background music, cozy and comforting. Our server and everyone else working here was friendly and they just seem to enjoy working here. Service was excellent. Coffee was fresh and hot served in big handled mugs. Plenty of assorted creamers(including Hershey’s chocolate!) to choose from. We ordered two 2-egg breakfasts with home fried potatoes and a side of scrapple. Noticed on the menu that all breakfasts have the option of fresh fruit instead of potatoes at no additional charge. A nice touch, but glad we stuck with the potatoes. Sliced white potatoes browned just right and not too greasy, and my goodness they were tasty. Eggs were cooked perfectly as was the scrapple, and everything was clearly farm fresh, not your typical supermarket stuff. Rye toast was the swirl kind, thick sliced and buttery. Reasonably priced excellent breakfast with great service in a comfortable atmosphere. This is nothing like the diners in NJ, and that is a good thing. This is our new favorite place! Just wish we lived closer.

Got home last night from vacation and woke up this morning to an empty fridge. Looking for a new place for us to try, I remembered I had bookmarked Lisa’s. We arrived at around 10AM and only had a 10 minute wait for a table because we didn’t want to sit outside. Our server was very friendly. The complementary cinnamon sticks were delicious and warm. Coffee was normal, orange juice good. We decided on ordering a different eggs benedict each to split and try more than one. I ordered the salmon eggs benedict and J ordered corned beef eggs benedict, both with home fries. Delicious!!! Tasted really fresh and both were perfectly done. You could taste home cooked meal. Place looks very clean and décor is nice. We’ll be back to try lunch and dinner and will definitely come back for breakfast.

Lisa’s Café is a great little restaurant. This was my first time here. I purchased a Groupon which lead me to check it out. This would be a cute venue for a bridal shower or baby shower. Not sure they do that though. I hade chicken cordon blue, corn fritters and grilled asparagus. My only complaint was the asparagus were a little mushy. Im still wondering why due to them being grilled. I like a crunch with mine. Glad i got to try it. There take on the chicken cordon blue was great!

I live very close to this place and I never went there until recently. I’ve clearly been missing out! We went on a Friday night and the wait was only about 20 minutes. The parking should be sufficient — the place was packed and there was still room on the side streets to park on even though their lot was full. The staff was very friendly and attentive; our waitress was very prompt on clearing our dishes and filling our drinks. The atmosphere was pleasant, quaint, and clean. The food was delicious — I had a Reuben and it was probably one of the best I’ve had in awhile. For dessert we shared a slice of Mounds cake, which was sooooo delicious! I will definitely come here again and I highly recommend it.

Great place to grab lunch close to my brother’s office! We met him here this week during his lunch break and had a great meal. The restaurant has a nice ambiance with the fireplace going on a cold day. The service was super friendly and efficient. The food was delicious… everyone was happy with what they ordered. We tried the tuna salad wrap special, the roast beef panini special, the ham and bean soup & half pastrami sandwich combo and the stromboli. Definitely a place to check out for reasonably priced food made with quality ingredients while visiting the Hershey area!

For the past 10 years, I’ve been coming here with my best friend every time we go back to our hometown of Palmyra. Lisa’s has been around for a while but the good food and ambiance has never changed. There is ample parking out front, friendly service, clean, cozy surroundings. I usually get their salad and ham and cheese stromboli.

I’ve been to Lisa’s several times, and enjoyed each meal I’ve eaten there. This weekend, my parents(who are not from the area), fiancé and I ate breakfast outside. My parents had been to Lisa’s for breakfast before, and requested that we return. At 9 a.m. on a Sunday morning, we grabbed the only spot left in the parking lot(Lisa’s is well known!) and walked in to the hostess stand. We asked to sit outside, and our server was right out to get drink orders. I’ve encountered restaurants that occasionally forget their outside patrons when they are busy inside, but our server was attentive and extremely pleasant. I had the Multi-Berry Cream Cheese Stuffed French toast. It was delicious! I would absolutely eat that meal for breakfast every day for a week. While it was filling, it wasn’t a ridiculous amount of food. My dad ordered 2HUGE chocolate chip pancakes and almost couldn’t finish them. My fiancé was pleased with his omelet, and my mother enjoyed her eggs. I will absolutely return to Lisa’s for many meals in the future =)

Lisa’s Café has been serving delicious hot served food since 1999. A local treasure as many patrons call the place. Weekly regulars greet each other cordially as many have the same routine down for more years then they can remember. Parking is provided in front of the Café with access to street and additional parking to the south across the alley. Hours of operation provide ample time for diners to arrive and depart and still allow the diligent workers who make this place so wonderful ample time with their own families. Food selection by the gracious chef provides enough diversity that no one can be left unsettled. As this place serves appealing selections of recipes covering many lifestyles and attracts new patrons and repeat business from the never ending aromas. My all time favorite for Breakfast is the Salmon Benedict; a healthy portion of Salmon served on a toasted English muffin drizzled with Hollandaise sauce. For Lunch the Reuben surely beats down any hungry traveler as they serve the delicacy on Texas sized pumpernickel toast. Appetizers come in many shapes and sizes with the Reuben fries or even the deep fried pickles you can’t wiggle past trying just one. Dinner is where this place shines, they serve a large breadth of entrée’s from fish, beef, pork, fowl, and many pasta dishes. Side dishes include several notable selections of Quiche a growing favorite. If your a salad lover and like a little meat with you greens your in luck. If your brave enough to want to sit out side during winter months the wait staff will serve you where the chill exists.
