Absolutely the RUDEST, most belligerent, unhelpful manager EVER! We never got to even stay here. I booked three weeks in advance, at a room fee of $ 173 per night. The ONLY reason we agreed to do this was that, ONLINE, the listing showed them to be a «Pet Friendly» Hotel/Motel. Even so, when I finalized the reservation, in the«Other Needs & Comments» section, I added that we were bring to dogs who were clean, quiet, and had stayed there before. The hotel received our information three weeks ahead of time. Nonetheless, as I often do before leaving to go on a trip, I called and confirmed our hotel several hours prior to our arrival. Bhupal, the manager, having read our booking, affirmed that we were due to check in, and that we has a room that was no-smoking, and a King bed. Ok, good. I’m just getting off the phone with him, and I think to verify that they also knew the dogs were coming along, and he responded, «No! You can’t have dogs here!» REALLY??? You just read our entire booking, probably NOT for the first time, and you didn’t think to tell me that??? So, wrapping up, he says, «No, you can’t stay here. And, YES, I’m charging you a 100% cancellation fee.» BOTTOMLINE: Read all the reviews here on the business’s page that say, these people are nasty, hostile, and borderline dishonest, and understand this: THISPLACEIS A BADCHOICE!!! DON’T STAYHERE!
One of the last places available for my stay… It served my purpose — very clean, working hair dryer and ironing board(had interview nearby). The breakfast is a joke, I left the orange juice in the fridge and the sugar pastries in their plastic wraps. Never tried the TV, bed was okay — not super comfortable but definitly sleepable. The gentleman who runs the place is nice, but doesn’t seem very customer service oriented. At check in(around 10:30pm) he was«waiting up» for me.

I had a fully acceptable experience when staying at this hotel. I found my room clean and well maintained for my 3-night stay. One drawback, however, is that there are only a few eating establishments within walking distance. Importantly, the price(at $ 75 per night) was fully acceptable.

They should pay you to stay here, not the other way round. Dishonest & hostile Manager, carpet sticky & smelly from pesticides. Uncomfortable slumped bed and bad pillows. Thin walls. Topped off with bedbugs bites. I tried to make due: hot shower, wifi; but in the end it was not worth it!!!

It’s expensive to stay in this city. I paid $ 80 plus tax and fees nearly $ 100 total through Priceline’s name your own price and I thought it was pricey but it was a good price in comparison to other hotels in Palo Alto. It was a simple room but it was decent. It didn’t stink, and i was able to sleep. It wasn’t spotless clean but sadly, I have had much worse. I had a two doubles and one bed had some small holes in the comforter(which is just two flat sheets blanketing a fleece blanket) but I keep in mind it’s just a two star motel. The hotel does have a fridge and microwave, tv and ironing board. They give you two plastic packaged pastries. When you check in, the lady does bring out a shower piece to show you how to use the shower head, which is unusual for a hotel/motel but I also have one at home and know how confusing it can be to people who have never used one before.

The general manager Mathew was one of the rudest general managers I’ve experienced at a hotel/motel. I asked him questions about their facilities and he gave sarcastic answers, actually questioning me instead of answering my questions! You would figure that being closely located to Stanford, they would have a little more class. Guess not. The rooms are nothing special and while you get what you pay for, you’re better off taking your $ 110-$ 120/night and finding another budget motel along El Camino Real. Definitely not America’s best value.

I want to give this motel one star, but the truth of the matter is you get what you pay for. Normally room rates here are more in the $ 60-$ 70 a night range, but because I waited until one month before Stanford’s graduation(Stanford is within 5 miles) they upped the rate to $ 129. Plus: They have a fridge in the room and you can park easily. Minus: I felt like I needed to shower even when I stepped out of the shower. The place stank, the carpet was disgusting, the shower head was popping out of the wall, the bed was uncomfortable … just overall not good. When I first arrived to check in at the«front desk» the lady pulled out a silver shower faucet and tried to show me some trick to pull it and that’s how to turn the water on. It was bizarre. Needless to say though, the shower did have a system of going from bath water to shower water that I had never seen before and I can see how it would confuse people. I couldn’t wait to get out of that room. I’d probably rather sleep in my car.
