This place is really neat, come here to see cool innovations! Each product has an ipad displaying information and a video. Most of the products can be purchased, but you can take a look as if it were a museum. The people there are nice and the store displays items from several different companies so it’s not like they’re out to make a sale off you. I didn’t get to see everything but will definitely come back often because I geek out for this stuff.

I’m surprised there aren’t any reviews yet. I stopped by b8ta on Friday for the grand opening at 5pm with my Dad, because he heard about the store and was curious to see what they’d be selling. Apparently, b8ta was founded by 4 former Nest employees who wanted to create a store that showcases the newest gadgets and allows customers to see/touch/try out the product before buying it. This was definitely my favorite part, because I could pick up the item and see how user friendly or well built it was before purchasing. Each product has an iPad next to it, with a description of the item, b8ta price, and current online price(most of the items had Amazon prices). The product makers control the store price and can change it at any time. Employees are available to answer any questions but are not pushy since they are not paid on commission. I would say b8ta had a good selection for their grand opening weekend. I expected more VR products but only saw the Avegant Glyph. They had a number of Nest products, home security items, drones, and smart health wearable devices. The most unique item I saw was a $ 699 Teforia tea maker that claims to use algorithms to brew the perfect cup of tea! It will be interesting to see how the store does. Prices range from about $ 69 for the cheaper items to $ 1400 for a drone. If anything, stop by while you are on University Ave and take a look! It’s a fun store and very fitting that it would debut in Silicon Valley.
