Coffee is great tasting. Its strong and legit. The pistacio cream croissant was delicious. Its an expensive $ 4 for coffee but its v good. While switching caltrains, this café is d perfect pitstop

They always make a good coffee and are efficient, which is much appreciated at the train station. Also, they are happy to make the coffee in my to go flask.

Drinks and snacks are fine. Often stop for an overpriced sandwich before my late train. But I really think it’s asinine to restrict use of the station’s bathroom. They just charged some poor guy $ 1 to use it. Maybe he should have just gone on the floor.

I take the Caltrain to work In Palo Alto daily so I’m here twice a day and never saw it until I was way to early to catch a train. It is cute inside with a piano and entirely wood furnished. There are bathrooms inside and an ATM. I was really thirsty so I bought a water a pizzette(pretty much a petite version of a personal pizza and Belgium chocolate cheesecake. The pizzette was baked but it tasted like it was sitting there for a long time it also ha vegetables underneath the cheese which still tastes cold even though the rest of it was hot. I ate half of the cheesecake because it tastes like coffee and I don’t like the taste of coffee. However when I went around what I figured out was coffee it was rich and pretty good. Definitely a little on the pricey side but convenient to be there to eat or read something while waiting for your train to arrive.

It is always such a fabulous experience to stop by for a cappuccino at this location! Café Venetia truly brings an Italian flair to Palo Alto’s train station. I almost feel like as if in Europe hopping from train to train while traveling throughout Italy. My favorite drink is a Cappuccino(decaf that is ;). The creamy, smooth, milk served atop a perfect espresso shot is such a treat on the laze of afternoon allowing the stress of a work day fall away. I’ll be coming again for more!

I just encountered this café yesterday and what a gem! A pianist even played some lovely music while people were waiting for a train. I would love to try their coffee soon!

Ordered a mocha, got a coffee cup of espresso and chocolate. Barista did not know what she was doing :(too bad. The coffee shop is pretty nice though. We got salted caramels which were good!

Love this place! Go there every time I use the cal train. Super courteous and friendly baristas :) Never messed up my drink and they always make it exactly the way I want it(I have a few customizations that I get done) Love the building they are located in too!

Great place for teas! They have a really good selection and the baristas are really knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to helping you make a pick. I tried the hibiscus herbal tea which was delicious! Also quite a bit of seating; they have a small section upstairs as well.

Good espresso, weak customer service. I love Venetia’s cappuccinos, but I really don’t like how unaccommodating they are for customers/commuters. Bathrooms? Only for customers — better buy something right now. Have a bike? Sorry, has to stay outside — even though I’ve never seen the place more than a quarter full. Even if these policies are required, they could be delivered with kindness, instead of curtness. Come on guys, most people are just trying to have a nice few minutes and a warm coffee before work. Take care of us a little better, and this would be a 4-star review.

Mediocre coffee, makes you pay to use the bathroom, and deletes unfavorable Unilocal reviews. Not a very good combination!

Perfect spot for us all comin and goin folks! The coffee’s great! I also recommend the awesome hot chocolate they keep in an auto heated churning machine. Hungry? They’ve tasty quick bites, sweets, and juiced drinks. Cappuccinos are silky smooth so the Baristas’ve been well edumakated in the rituals of frothing. Staff’s friendly as well rendering service w a smile! Jus don’t miss your bus or train!!!

People are friendly here. We got extra free whipped cream when we ordered for hot chocolate. Not really cheap but a good stop for a quick coffee. Has a good ambience. Do stop by if you are waiting for a bus or the caltrain at the palo alto transit center

Love the ambience. It was cold outside when we decided to grab a coffee, before taking the vta. So, the hot chocolate was even more tastier and it also had just the right amount of chocolate I needed :) The place also has free WiFi, I used to sit around here a lot of times while waiting for a Caltrain.

Cute little café if you’re waiting at the Palo Alto Caltrain station for a bit. I just wish that occasionally the bathrooms weren’t out of order.

Quite impressive for a train station«deli» it is a full on artisan coffee shop that sells delicious coffee drinks, beans, and delicious bakery food like the passionfruit cake(which by the way is absolutely amazing!) and there plenty of muffins mini pizza here. A good place to catch a breath after a long train ride or grabbing a quick bite before heading to the airport.

They wouldn’t let me use the bathroom without buying something… I buy coffee here a few times a month and the owner was willing to make me hold it because I didn’t have a dollar and I didn’t want to pay to pee. The world is my urinal and today, that urinal is Café Venetia. Business 101, the long term customer value is what you need to focus on. The short term gains are fleeting if you don’t treat your customers well.

A much-welcome outpost of the other Café Venetia further down University Avenue — which is one of the best cafes in Silicon Valley — that has the same great drinks, same(rotating) baristas, and a similar variety of beans. The ambience here is far different from that at the other café, which has mainly to do with the venue itself — a busy, sometimes dirty and chaotic train station with all sorts of random folks streaming through — but if you take Caltrain in and out of Palo Alto and don’t have time to trek the half a dozen blocks down the street to the actual café, then this is certainly a nice, convenient way to get a high-quality caffeine fix.

Vintage vibes coupled with a warm and welcoming coffee shop is what makes this café unique. I love their hot chocolate and like that they have a good spread of vegetarian options for snacks or a light lunch. There are several interesting décor pieces that may appeal to you if you like photographying interesting renovated train stations :)
