I had high hopes for this place but was met with disappointment. While the décor and ambiance screams Paris, the food was overpriced, sad, and lacking. The service was also less than satisfactory. I came at 3pm on a rainy Saturday. At first glance, I really wanted to love this place! It was full of people conversing, enjoying their Petite pastries and sipping on cute expresso cups. Unfortunately, I just wasted ~10 for a Brie and pear sandwich. Maybe I was expecting too much? I’ve had orgasmic Brie and fruit paired sandwiches before that were rich, velvety, and sweet with the right amount of jellied or carmelized fruits. This sandwich came with slices of Brie, cold thin barely there slices of pear, and walnuts. No flavor whatsoever! The bread was also overly toasted and difficult to bite. My significant other ordered the ham and cheese sandwich, in which they managed to mess up. They forgot his order and his food didn’t come out until 30 minutes after mine. How long does it take to sandwich ham, cheese, and vegetables together? My first experience here was memorable but for all the wrong reasons. I would have had a more delicious time going to Togos and ordering a foot long for less than the price of a sandwich here.

was quite disappointed with the almond croissant — heavy and not like the real stuff. plain croissant was like bread too — does NOT have the nice layers inside like how a real french croissant should have — not sure why that is. this place has a nice seating area outside and inside — good for people watching. queue moves pretty fast even during busy times. a great place to sit and people watch with a good cup of café au lait.

Loved it here. It was my first time and I ordered a crêpe with Nutella, banana, ice-cream and fruits on the side. I also ordered a small bowl of soup with bread best customer service, one of the workers gave my friend and I water in glass. It was really nice of him. The food and desert was very worth it as well! I am from Sacramento but when I head towards Stanford again, I will be back to check in and order Thanks for satisfying my cravings!

One of the best French café’s in the Bay Area. I has a delicious Crespeou — omelet. Eating the omelet and polenta(much better than potatoes). You feel like you are transported to French café. A comfortable noise level and bustle of customers. Enjoy!

I ordered online and picked up two crepes, the berry one and the Nutella one. Both were delicious! Nutella crepes are my favorite though!

This place is amazing. If you are looking to get a quick breakfast or sit down with someone for coffee, this is the place to do it. I came here at around 8:30am for breakfast with my friend and we both really enjoyed the place. If you don’t see a crêpe that you like, you can ask them if they can make the crêpe that you want and most of the time they can! I just wanted a berry nutella crêpe so they were able to make that and it was delicious! Most of the time, crepes can become very heavy very quickly and I won’t be able to finish them, but this crêpe was phenomenal. It was light, filling, and tasted really fresh(the fruit definitely tasted fresh). My friend got an apple caramel crêpe(or something like that) and really enjoyed it as well so this place gets two positive ratings from the both of us! The ambience is really nice as well and the servers were smiling and overall very friendly. It’s got a very french feel to it and it’s been around for a very long time so they definitely know what they’re doing. This is a place everyone who’s into crepes or coffee must visit at some point if they’re in the area. I’d highly recommend it.

I’ve been to France. People were good looking. People inside were speaking French. So this is legit. Love the ambiance and décor. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating. I had a latte and a smoked salmon crêpe. It came with a wonderfully displayed fresh salad. A bit too pricey for everyday eating but reasonable for a place to frequent once in a while.

Came in for a quick snack and was severely disappointed. I ended up with a dry, dense croissant and an average to subpar latte. At least the latte was decent enough to finish, but I couldn’t force myself to down more than a few bites of the croissant. Another oddity: they serve lattes in a very heavy glass. Hopefully their current rating is justifiable by other menu items.

The most amazing bakery I’ve been to. The food is great, the service prompt and cortoeus. Great cakes for birthdays too.

Small bakery with many tables and little room. They have tarts, pies, croissants, and more baked goods along with their crepes, sandwiches, and other entrees. My boyfriend and I ordered their La Basquaise Crepes, which had prosciutto, mozzarella, and spinach. The crepes were very soft and doughy, and the flavor combination was very satisfying. The fruit tart was also good, though the crust was pretty dry. Hope to return soon, but not at such a busy time. Ordering was pretty hectic since we had to do so across other customers who were also ordering things on the other side of us…

The fruit Tatar is a bit pricy. But I Have to say, it is one of the best I have had. The deco and music is amazing. I wouldn’t mind spending much of time here or bring my friend over.

I love love love this place. It’s an excellent little french bistro located centrally in the Town & Country plaza. The breakfast is definitely top notch, with delightful french crêpes. However, I generally go for a the pastries which are some of the best in the area. If you stop by make sure you try a personal favorite of mine — the Paner Chocolat. It’s a light fluffy pastry with chocolate inside it and dipped in chocolate. It makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

I’ve been using DF for work presentation lunches and overall it’s been a good experience. The chicken Sandwich is always a hit and my clients love the mini fruit tarts.

Fine French pastries, some a little too sweet and less tart than they should be, but fine and elaborate concoctions nonetheless. I tried a little bit of everything on a large order, much puff and mousse with all that. Yet I have more than a little amour for the Coffee Crème Éclair than anything else. And I had scrumptiously flaky croissants for next morning’s breakfast. My only question: Why isn’t there an Amelie soundtrack when I enter? #likereally

This is my new favorite breakfast spot in the area. Their crêpes are the real french deal and sooo good, I ordered the Tartin with apples and it was perfect(not too sweet and not dry at all even though I ordered it without the whipped cream). I am not a croissant person but after all the good reviews about the chocolate croissant I had to try it. And it was very delicious, you have to try it too. You have to order at the counter and there was no line on a Sunday. We had the perfect table outside and the food was served super quick. I definitely go back and maybe try a savory crêpes?

Quick and light brunch Perfect small bakery to drop by if you need a quick bite! It’s seems very popular and crowded around noon, so if you’re with a friend try grabbing a seat while you order. The Croque Madam and the Ham and cheese crêpe were really great! The only thing that freaked me out was the self serve water. The guy just refilled it and there were weird white things floating in it.

Even though the crêpe were a bit pricey & not extremely filling, I quite enjoyed both my savory & sweet crepes here :) I got the smoked salmon crêpe, which was delicious & came with some salad. And the chocolate banana crêpe was the perfect way to end off the meal, in addition to trying some of the other sweet pastries there. This place is also within walking distance of the university campus, which is nice if you’re visiting Stanford & you’re hungry & don’t have a car!!!

On a Sunday afternoon after strolling at a nearby park we were in mood for some coffee and cake. We had to do some grocery shopping so we decided to park in town and country village to walk around and see what picked our interest. We first went to Mayfield that was overflowing with customers and a long wait and we checked in Unilocal to see if there were other bakeries around. The name popped DouceFrance, from the sound of it I thought wow I’m going to be stumbled by the options. As we went inside the bakery there was no line some patrons were enjoying their tea outside. The bakery looked empty like it had been raided by dessert bandit. Literally there were only three options but since the people working there were so sweet we din’t feel like walking away without a purchase. Between two of us we shared a hot chocolate and a vanilla cream puff pastry. Both were o-k. I’d rather choose strawberry shortcake from their display next time if at all i go back. They had nice display of blueberry and raspberry fruit tarts and next time may be i’ll try those. Love the service and people that work here.

We had takeout from Douce France and everyone enjoyed their food! I had the Smoked Salmon Panini on Ciabatta. The ratio of salmon to bread and cream cheese was very reasonable. My panini also came with a small side of greens. Everyone had a macaron included their meal except me, but I definitely want to come here in person sometime to try their other sandwiches, pastries, and desserts.

Well that was rather a disaster! Came here for coffee with my mom for a second go round, having really enjoyed the affogato I got here last time. I highly recommended this place, amongst several coffee options in Town and Country, and they failed to deliver. How embarrassing! My café au lait tasted more like an Americano — coffee and water — instead of coffee with milk. And my mom complained that her latte tasted way too milky and she was right. I could barely taste any espresso in her latte. I don’t know if I’ll be back. I think next time I’ll stick with a safe bet like Peets. Sigh…two stars for the memories of that affogato.
