I don’t exactly appreciate being told by the delivery guy, when I said to keep the change, that what I gave him was only a $ 1 tip. I’ve worked in the industry even made deliveries before and I would never say anything to the customer about the tip. I actually thought I already tipped the guy when I placed the order, so it was an honest mistake on my part. But geez! Not exactly what I want to hear when I pay.

They were AWESOME! !! Many thank you’s to Danny and Lloyd who helped me out greatly there. I live in San Diego and needed to send some food to my sister who is stuck at work all day and didn’t have her wallet with her. I had called every other pizza place and nobody would allow me to pay for the pizza and have her sign for it. They were super friendly and we’re so polite and funny. I’ve had a really bad run ins with customer service in the last 2 weeks every where it seems but it’s good to know that there are actually employees that are still super polite and awesome at their job. Thank you guys so much.

Good prices with coupons. Good, not great pizza. This is a pick up and delivery place only. Parking is limited. Pizza has always been ready when they said it would be. Online ordering is easy and convienient.

I know what you’re thinking. «Ew franchise chain food» I’m not a foodie, and I never claimed to be. The whole scene is a bit too pretentious and snobby IMO. I enjoy the simple things. Dudes here are nice and they take groupons, and special online coupons 2 for 1 large pizza deals. Of course you get the garlic butter dipping sauce and the little pickled pepper.

Update — I went here again recently when they gave away 1000 free pizzas. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a margerita and a few other combination pizzas, and was expecting them to be as sloppily cooked as they were the previous time. But, they were pretty good. I am impressed that the owner cares about the customers, he wrote me a apologetic message for my first experience, because of which I tried it again. Which was totally worth it. I am glad I gave it another try and you are definitely going to see me ordering pizzas here again :) Old review — I ordered a pizza with bbq chicken and tomato’s, onions and garlic. It was half cooked and it was just really bad. I don’t think I will ever order here again.

Yes. Get the parmesan breadsticks with Honey Dijon. Bacon pizza not so much. No bacon or tomatoes, just a lot of cheese and chicken. Prompt delivery, delivery man appeared to be a good person.

Came here armed with a groupon, the guys here are very friendly! He let me add chicken for free to my speciality pizza, I got the garden pizza and he recommended hand tossed so I went with that. Honestly I can’t complain, papa johns is better then a lot of the chain pizzas out there. They also have it’s it iec cream which I did grab, and for a buck a piece for a 3 pack you really can’t go wrong. Too bad you can’t dine in, that’s my only complaint.

Don’t get me wrong, the pizza is DELICIOUS! Best pizza I’ve had in years! The only complaint is that it takes about an hour for their delivery… I mean I guess it’s worth the wait but I give them good tips so I was hoping for faster delivery. Other than that I can’t wait for the one I just ordered! Update: They gave us an extra pizza for free and ice cream as well! The delivery guys are always SOOO sweet! Happy I gave them a good tip! Also the manager called to apologize which I thought was so thoughtful for them.

There is a huge ad posted outside the store says«Buy one get one free on Tuesday». So today is Tuesday my son went there but only got one. The shop assistant said only large pizza can get one free. But I can not see this content in the huge ad. It’s a fraud I think.

Papa Johns pizza is the best. After coming out of Stanford Stadium, my wife and I wanted something quick and delicious. So on out way to our hotel we stopped by this Papa Johns. There were only two employees working and were very busy. The guy at the register took our order and told us our pizza would be ready in 20 minutes. We waited for about 30 minutes and finally our pizza was ready. The guy apologized for taking longer and gave us free ice cream!!! Overall Papa Johns is #1.

It makes me sad that this Papa John’s is closing so I am compelled to write a review to pay tribute. I also recently had a 5-star eating experience here. While I was getting my oil changed at another 5-star place, Nine Minute Oil & Lube, i looked across the street and saw this proprietary Papa John’s. Since it was lunch time, I decided to order Papa John’s. Instead of calling Papa John’s, I downloaded the proprietary Papa John’s app and ordered via my mobile phone. Papa John’s truly has one of the most user-friendly and amazing mobile apps for ordering food. I got my oil changed in 5 minutes while I ordered a large pizza with pepperoni on one side and sausage on the other. The fact that I was able to do this seamlessly on my mobile phone and pick up my pizza right away made the experience 5-stars. I recommend everyone who loves pizza to download the Papa John’s app and order from your nearest location! Oh yeah, and Papa John’s has the best pizza in California.

Oh Papa John’s. You serve up some mediocre pizza, but you’re also so so cheap. This spot is a convenient location right in Palo Alto. To be honest, the only reason I come here, is because of their Groupon deals. At $ 14 for a large pizza, ice cream, and a 2 liter soda, it really makes a nice little lazy meal. Like all Papa John’s, their locations are made for strictly pick ups only. That’s totally fine because you just order online, and then show up within 20 – 30 minutes. If you’re on the lazier side, then they also do deliver for a $ 3 surcharge. The location itself is right in the same complex as L&L, and right next to Happy Donuts. There’s limited parking here, but I haven’t had much of a problem for the times that I’ve been here. As far as the pizza itself, it’s just like every other Papa John’s location. I wouldn’t pay full price for their pizza because there’s just so much better pizza anywhere else, but when a nice little deal pops up, then how can I resist? At least the pizza tastes better than Dominos and Pizza Hut right?

After a lot of following up, the mess I mentioned in my previous review was sorted out. After that I’m back to being a regular and loyal customer with Papa John’s and order from this outlet at least once a week. The food is still pretty good with decent variety but seems a little overpriced. Service has improved a lot in the last 6 months.

Four stars for national chain pizza? Heck yeah! I order approximately one metric f**k ton of pizza per month because I do lots of «everybody watch TV event and eat pizza» events. And this PJs has become one of my top go-to places. Why? — Their online ordering system is actually usable. Cool UI lets you get half of each pizza whatever way you want… and it has good deals on there too so you don’t need to save coupons. — And you can order hours in advance. As in you order 3 hours early, specify a delivery time, and it shows up on time and hot(not like one other place where I ordered in advance, and the pizza arrived cold and terrible). I don’t know if this works will nationwide with Papa John’s, but from this one they’ve done it perfectly at least 10 times. — Oh, right, the pizza. PJ’s is the bomb. Get enough garlic sauce to have one sauce per two slices(yes 4 per pie — they only give you one per pie normally) and you’ll be in heaven. If you skip the garlic sauce then you should just retire from eating.

SUCKED! We were craving pizza! And since we love football, why not try the official pizza of the NFL! DUDE! we ordered half of the buffalo chicken pizza and half mushrooms and onions. We got junk! There were hardly any toppings! How dare the NFL claim this as the official pizza! NEVERAGAIN we will order PAPAJOHNS!

Looks like I’m only the fifth reviewer for this location! I feel like I’m on the cutting edge… …of a well-established chain. Okay, maybe not on the cutting edge at all. Not much to say here; it’s a Papa John’s like the others. They do a good job of managing consistency across their thousands of locations. And while their pizza may not be anything special, it is a good reliable standby, where you’ll know exactly what you’re getting no matter where you order from. I really like their cheeses, especially the six cheese blend, which is mozzarella, parmesan, romano, asiago, provolone, and fontina. The sauce and the crust, though, are a bit bland and uninspiring. I’ve found, though, that if you request their Papa’s Seasoning blend(which you have to request, they don’t give it to you by default), it really helps with the flavor. It just adds that little extra zest of spices that add to the flavor of the pie! Service at this location of Papa John’s was quite friendly and easy to work with. My pizza was ready on time, and was fresh and hot. One small nuisance: I purchased their Groupon months ago, and it requires an online purchase. I went to the online site, and saw their new buffalo chicken pizza! Sounds great, I’d love to try it! I type in the promo code for the Groupon, and the buffalo chicken disappears. Wha? No worries. I remembered the ingredients for the buffalo chicken pizza! I’ll just do a «create your own pizza» and enter in the ingredients myself! Sure enough, I see the option for«buffalo sauce» as well as the other ingredients! So, I type in the Groupon promo code… and the buffalo sauce disappears as one of the topping options! Lame. Oh well. I ended up creating my own pizza of garlic, more garlic, pepperoni, more pepperoni, bacon, three-cheese blend, and parmesan romano. It wasn’t bad overall! So, to sum up, Papa John’s is a reliable standby of a pizza joint. Nothing more, nothing less. Don’t expect too much of it, and you might not be let down.

I have a friend that tells me he lived on Papa John’s in college. As a vegetarian. How did he do this? An order of cheese sticks, bread sticks and a ton of different sauces. I think we calculated that he was eating like 3000 calories a sitting. Now if you’re Michael Phelps you’re probably not getting enough but most human beings need less than that through a whole day. So you can imagine my curiosity in getting cheesesticks for a snack. Ok pretty tasty, cause it’s cheesy and has the fatty garlic sauce. Not hard to figure out that it’s targeted to all the brain’s sensory and craving sensations. The place is brand new and we got the snacks on a whim while at the market next door. Folks are super nice and the place since they’ve been open only a month is spotless. Some folks may not be into chains but I feel that some still make a tasty product and fill those once in a while cravings.
