2 stars because I have had other good experiencea here at this specific location but this time… oh hell no. Overall I love coming to this starbucks on my Sundays with my family to start our day. However today I have never felt so disrepected by a starbucks employee. Everyone is usually very friendly, smiley and kind. Today was different. Rosaria or Rosie(writing on her name tag was kind of smeared) anyways I went to Redeem a code on my smart phone app and it didn’t work. Someone else was on the register and she was talking from where you male the drinks. She didn’t even try to see what was wrong and she was not helping me on the register. Her excuse was maybe your phone is broke but we cant redeem it. She didn’t even try to get on the register and she had no real excuse as to why it was not working. It said offer available. I never used the offer and it was not expired. I just feel her smart ass comment was inappropriate. Educate your workers on your stores App so customers can get professional service.

After a few weeks of erratically closing earlier, this Starbucks has decided to cut their hours and start closing earlier, despite its longstanding popularity as a place for students to study, socialise, and caffeinate late. I guess I’ll be using the CoHo(open until midnight) or Café Venetia(open until 11pm Sunday through Thursday, open until midnight on Friday and Saturday).

On their website they say it’s open till 11 pm. I came at 10:10 pm and it’s closed already.

The service isn’t as good as it used to be but the set up of the Starbucks is prime for getting work done, I usually invade the space, order a coffee for the hell of it and get work done. I do primarily use it for the convenient work space, and I have forgotten to get my coffee before. If the service was a tad better I probably would my coffee delivered to me.(I don’t expect it too, but it’s just something that would 100% rise above and beyond expectations)

Most unfriendly, unhelpful, rude staff of any Starbucks I’ve ever been to anywhere. Will never come here again.

I go here because it is a quick walk from Stanford’s campus(if you live in grad housing). The place isn’t very well maintained-spills take a while to get cleaned up, dirty tables, etc. Otherwise, no big complaints about the service. One time, my friend asked for a free refill, and they gave it to him.

I’m finding it hard to write a review for this Starbucks because it’s well Starbucks. For me every Starbucks is essentially the same. Good service, good dark roast coffee, clean, lots of seating and people lounging around doing work. However this Starbucks does have a small parking lot but it’s hard to find a spot.

Not worth the trip here. Find a Starbucks that doesn’t give you 1 ½ inches of Froth on your drink. A disgrace to Starbucks… No stars isn’t an option here.

I’m not a Starbucks-hater in any way. They’re fast, friendly, and consistent. However, this location is super disappointing. The employees are not your typical chipper helpful over-caffeinated Starbucks employees. The man who took my order was hard to understand and kind of angry. The workers who made my drink were super immature and flirting with each other/throwing things at each other(?!) When they set my drink down the didn’t call the name and there wasn’t one written on the cup, so I asked them if it was my drink. They said yes, looked at each other, and laughed at me. Seriously? To the manager: Get it together! Hire better people!

Wow. What a difference time makes. And employees. Mostly just employees. This location used to be amazing. Very quick, filled with bustling patrons who seemed happy and excited about their days. Now, it’s dreary, takes forever, and maybe has a few people in line. The baristas at this location used to be so great. Super friendly, very fast, and amazingly accurate. Then slowly, the good ones left, and were replaced by incompetent servers. I will no longer visit this location, after I’ve had one too many bad experiences here. Today was my last time, after spending over $ 5 on a drink that tastes absolutely horrible. I’ve also contacted to let them know, but of course they don’t seem to really care. Makes me frustrated to be a loyal Starbucks customer.

As Starbucks goes, this one is pretty nice. It has a good amount of seating, and friendly staff. Not a bad choice if you are in the area.

Really nice Starbucks, never had any problems with the baristas and the coffee is always great. Special shout out to the girl with glasses and short hair, she’s so sweet.

Bad service at this location — argumentative barista refused my free refill to a Gold member on January 2, 2015. Definitely needs some training on Starbucks refill policy and customer service skills as well. Refused to read Starbucks own policy page when I pulled it up on my mobile and offered to her, kept on insisting«that’s how we do it here»… The refill policy at Starbucks: Refills are regardless of original beverage purchased. Just a short lesson on what a refill is at Starbucks — valuable information for many people — If you order a Starbucks tall latte, and then want a Pike Place Roast as a refill, the answer is «yes»(during the same visit, of course). Customer Service How do the free refills on brewed or iced coffee or tea work? Published 09/04/201204:22PM | Updated 09/24/201401:10PM My Starbucks Rewards™ members at Green and Gold levels are eligible for free refills on brewed or iced coffee or tea beverages of the same size(some restrictions apply), regardless of the original beverage purchased, while they are in a participating Starbucks ® or Teavana® stores. Once you leave the store, your visit has ended and any subsequent coffee or tea refill thereafter would be considered a new purchase.

Is this Starbucks a good place to bring your laptop and do work? Yes! It is one of my go-to places for studying. It has lots of outlets in the long tables(along the window and in the center of the room), and they also have some more comfortable chairs in a corner alcove. The high table in the middle has a strip of outlets underneath, so it’s particularly amenable to charging your go-to device while you drink your coffee. They’re also implementing wireless charging as well. They seem to know their target customers well! Menu-wise, it’s a pretty standard Starbucks. They have the full range of food options: pastries, breakfast sandwiches, to-go packaged meals, etc. They also have gifts and tumblers which are common at other Starbucks. Parking is somewhat difficult since all of the spots in their small, one-way lot became one hour only. There are a few spots across El Camino on Stanford Ave(three in the parking lot behind the Jacuzzi store). There is also ample bike parking. The line for ordering can sometimes be long at peak times, occasionally 5 – 10 people deep, but that tends to be pretty rare. All in all, you can’t ask for too much more from a Starbucks. Lots of Stanford students come here to study, so the demographic can skew younger if that’s important to you. I did see Apple CEO Tim Cook here once though, so maybe you’ll see some Silicon Valley celebrities here too?

Why would you redesign a place to be worse? This gets place gets docked because this used to be a 5 star Starbuck’s establishment that closed for a few weeks and re-designed to look worse! It was much homier and nicer to work in previously. Now it is brighter and grey; I imagine the designer wanted to go more ‘moden.’ Given Oprah’s name is now on the door, maybe she had something to do with it. Sometimes, big corporations can miss the dinosaurs standing in front of them while shooting for the moon. Otherwise, it’s a typical Bay Area Starbucks: nice coffee that’s specifically designed to be a bit burnt so as to be addicting, nice new drip coffees that are brewed well and one-at-a-time, and fantastic La Boulange pastries. Check it out as needed to get the beverage that powers us all through our weekdays.

Why do all the Starbucks stores in the area disappoint so much? I love Starbucks, just not this one. I’ve been here twice and both times have been very unpleasant. Cons: — There is enough parking maybe 8 cars total. Considering the size the of the Starbucks, you need to triple the size of the parking lot. Don’t be deceived by the size of the parking lot… half of them are not for Starbucks. — Rude rude rude and inconsistent service. I typically order a iced coffee with milk(soy milk). I know that they charge an extra 60 cents for soy milk when you order lattes, which makes sense because the entire cup(aside from the 1 shot of espresso) is soy milk. But this location always likes to charge me for adding A SPLASH of soy milk to my drink. The staff are also very rude and aren’t very knowledgeable about the food or drinks.

A Starbucks is a Starbucks, to a point. The menus are the same, the décor is the same, so there’s not really a lot of variability to comment upon. That said: Parking: Tight. Few spots, busy location. Lots of opportunities to be towed by «Barbecues Galore» that shares a tiny lot. Line: Long, but moves reasonably fast. Customer Service: Everyone this morning looked cranky. So… three stars, afterall.

They open late ’til 11pm which is great! I was craving for something sweet & hot… hot chocolate was it! I wanted to try something new, instead of my usual classic hot chocolate. It was perfect timing late in the night, bc the barista was very nice & helpful. I told her my dilemma & she totally accommodated me. She recommended I try the cinnamon flavored hot chocolate, which she swore was delicious & her favorite, so I couldn’t resist. I asked her if I could also try it with hazelnut flavor, & she said, absolutely! She was so right about the cinnamon hot chocolate! It was so comforting, like Christmas in a cup. Just the aroma of the cinnamon with the hot chocolate was very relaxing. The ambiance is cozy and crowd was quiet. So I took my time enjoying my hot cocoa with cinnamon, as I check-out what’s new in Unilocal events on-line. ;) It was a perfect way to end my day. :))
