My friends and I walked in and had to leave after getting the worse customer service EVER and turns out the guy was the«manager»(short guy, borderline midget). Not sure what his deal was maybe he was going through a little man syndrome episode or poor guy was just overworked and underpaid… worse combo ever. y’all pray for him!

There are few times when a meal is exceptionally well and prepared with the diners delight in mind. The Wine Room is one of our favorite date night places to enjoy great food.

They said come and unwind… Ummm…Okay! A cute, cozy, and comfortable wine bar that I mistakenly thought it was some kind of vintage shop. I’m so glad I came because it was such a fun place to kick back. They have great selections of wine and I like nibbling on the crackers, bread, and their rich and creamy cheese. On top of that, the staff was friendly and helpful. I hope you give this wine bar a try. Cheers!

The Wine Room has more of an appearance of a wine cottage — very cozy, jovial atmosphere! On a Thursday night, my gf and I grabbed the only available table and were served by one of their pleasant servers. The comfort level here is a combination of energy from the patrons, cordial staff and the«at home» feel interiors. The sofa seating arrangement around the fireplace opposite the bar, warm wood tones throughout, low lighting, cushy seating in the back with throw pillows and a couple of wingtip chairs provide interiors perfect to relax with some wine. They have an extensive collection of libations to suit your palate. If you’re hungry, there are small bites to compliment your wine like cheese, olives, hummus and meats or sweets if you must. I loved everything about this place. It is definitely a perfect place to enjoy some wine if you’re looking for something with less of a «bar type» ambiance and just want some small appetizers to nibble on.

This little lounge bar is a gem in Palo Alto for all the wine lovers out there like me! Great for a drop in on a Friday night with comfortable sofas and just the right amount of lighting for a romantic night or a haven for reading. The service was friendly and very on top of it. He gave me great recommendations on Pinot noirs! Even though It was definitely on the more expensive side for wine bars, I’ll definitely be back again to try their cheese/salami spreads!

I’m disappointed to say the least, but The Wine Room is a gorgeous spot nevertheless. I enjoyed catching up with a girlfriend at the Wine Room on a full/not crazy busy Friday night before dinner. However, the service and awkward staging didn’t meet my expectations for Palo Alto, considering how much I paid for one glass of wine. The Wine Room reminds me of what I could make at home… with my girls, a few bottles of good wine, lots of pillows, throw blankets, and an eclectic array of furniture here and there. I paid $ 20 for a glass of wine after tax and tip, and although it was one of my favorite merlot’s I’ve had at a restaurant/wine bar… I could have bought a few yummy bottles, made fondue or cheese and crackers at home, and had more space than I did perched at the entrance of the establishment. Granted, the ambiance is sexy, dimly-lit, and comfortable. It scores 100% for theme/vibes in my books… but as a wino and a lover of «smooth flow» for restaurants, I feel like the service wasn’t as efficient because the place is seat-yourself, and the awkward arrangement of space took away from my experience all together. We had to walk up to our server after waiting on him to circle over to us for our check, but he was polite and friendly otherwise. They probably need a better way of checking on their tabs if the place is first come first serve, as it’s more of a wine spot and not a full-on restaurant. There are a few other wine spots in Palo Alto, and I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back here. But I’m glad I stopped by to soak in the luxurious feels The Wine Room offers… however, I could find other ways to spend my Andy Jackson otherwise.

Times have changed. Used to be my favorite place to grab a glass of wine — not anymore. Staff has changed for the most part(except Francisco, love him), and they don’t seem as knowledgable or as friendly. We went in a few Fridays ago and it felt more like the bars across the street. Loud music, meat market type of vibe. So sad to see it change, but depends what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for a relaxed place to catch up with a friend or a date, maybe try it on a quieter weekday.

A lovely place to get cozy on a couch with a glass(or two. Or more) of wine. Wine Bar is in an adorable converted house, with half the place being a more social bar/tv/lounge area, and the other half being a quieter and more intimate date area(or for one to curl up on a couch with a good book). Their selections are varied, and the pours are generous. The servers are pleasant and knowledgeable without being snooty, and in the 3(!!) hours I spent there I felt quite well taken care of. No happy hour unfortunately, but they open daily at the oh so convenient hour of 4pm, and do have food and small bite options in case one doesn’t want to drink on an empty stomach. Parking is tricky as is with all places in downtown Palo Alto, though there is a garage located conveniently across the street(with the pretty darn small and tricky parking spaces; the spaces noted as «small car» are no joke), and a lot behind as well.

Cute wine bar in downtown Palo Alto. Pretty packed even on a weeknight. Has a decent selection of wine. Friendly service.

I like this place! Cool place to grab wine with friends for a chill night if you’re not feelin the loud patio/nola scene. More of a cozy atmosphere compared to Gravity nearby. I sat against the wall on one corner of the room. Looks comfy but it was pretty uncomfortable for my back… which worked out because it kept me awake(wine knocks me out) haha… but next time I come back, I’m going straight to the couch /eyeing the couch until it opens up.

The Wine Room is so cute! From the outside, it looks like a little house and in the inside, it feels really homey. It’s pretty small, but within the small space, there is a bar, couches, tables and a fireplace in the back. We were lucky enough to snag of the couches and I got a glass of Muscato and it was really good! I wanted another glass, but then I probably would have been done for the night, haha. Overall, it’s a really cute place to hang out, catch up, get a glass a wine, though the prices are on higher side.

After my friend and I got done with dinner at Nola, we decided to continue our convo and get some wine here at the room. I’ve been waiting to come here for years and it was finally time! I had a great experience. The place isn’t as stuck up as I thought it’d be? It’s pretty laid back, casual, with a nice intimate atmosphere. Lights are dim, low-medium voice tone, B– service, soft couch seating and some high tables, etc. they offer a great selection of wine, champagne, and tiny bites. Prices can be pretty expensive for a glass with an average of $ 13 – 15 a glass! I wanted to keep it classy so I had a glass of prosecco for about $ 11. It was crisp, clean, and chilled all the way through. It gave me an extra boost to the buzz lol! I need to come back for more! I’d love to come here with friends again and mingle around. It’s a great spot for groups or a date with that special someone! The vibes are amazing here

It’s really time for me to write a glowing review for this place. I’ve been here numerous times and I’ve never had a bad time. It’s just so cozy. I would even bring my parents here. It’s the perfect date place or coworker getaway. Comfy couches galore, both in the front and back of the area. It’s very dark and sets a very specific mood. The servers all have great knowledge about wines. I’ve done the tasting and I’ve landed on a go-to favorite: The Riesling is absolutely perfection. It’s crisp, not too sweet and very satisfying… especially during this heat! The Wine Room is always a good idea.

A blend of sophistication and comfort, the Wine Room is a great place to hangout with friends or have a corporate event. It has very good ambience. However, it can be a little bit dark to see things clearly. It gets pretty crowded on weekends. I came here Friday night and it was hard to find a spot to have a glass of wine. With that said, that means having a conversation can be difficult. I’ll have to try a different night to see if it’s more quiet. I come here to try the wines by the glass and if I like it I can buy the bottle somewhere else. I haven’t checked their bottle menu though. They do have a variety of sparkling, whites and reds to choose from. Their old wine world selections aren’t that great though. There’s maybe just a couple to choose from. Most of the wine by the glass are new world wines. Whatever you fancy, light and fruity or bold and flavorful, there’s something to delight your taste buds. I think next time I’ll try the food.

1st time at The Wine Room tonight and truly enjoyed the experienced. Great wine, REASONABLYPRICED and relaxed décor’. A decent amount of street parking along with a free parking lot close by! The staff was courteous and knowledgable about the wines!

I love the wine room. It is such a cute place to grab some great wine and have great conversation. And honestly you could grab a good book and just head on over to have some wine while you read. Definitely gets busy after work if people want to grab a glass before heading home and on weekends as well! Definitely somewhere I will be returning often to! Service is always great and friendly and they have one bathroom in the very back.

Randomly found this spot doing a three point turn. Cool spot from the outside and a great layout within. Couches, 2 tops and bar seating in the front room. The back room is cozy with additional couches seating but I’m sure it can get cramped when it’s busy. Within the back room there is 1 unisex toilet… Nice selection by the glass and bottle. Enjoyed a solid Riesling and had to leave for dinner. All in all, great vibe and I’d love to comeback.

A nice cozy place to go for wine and conversation on comfy furniture in a room with a fireplace. They usually have a good selection of cheese and such, and there are plenty of places nearby for a real meal. This is the perfect place to meet someone who connected with on .

Went to the Wine Room for my birthday the other day around 4:30. It was everything I wanted and more. Would go back in a heartbeat, and bring more friends. The atmosphere is super cute and cozy. There is couch seat, bar seating, table seating and even seating by the fireplace. It was so cute, looked like somebody’s home. Our waiter was attentive, and explained about the wines and how to pronounce them. The wine list was thorough but not overwhelming, which nice. And they had a good amount of by glass and bottled wines. Obviously all the wine was delicious. The cheese platter was so tasty, I can’t stop thinking about it. And I saw people with other food items that looked equally delicious. Price: it’s a wine bar, so it will never be cheap but wine’s by the glass ranged from around $ 8 – 15(for most of them) and bottles were about 30 and up. P. S. Some other reviews mentioned happy hour, and there is NO happy hour here.
