Since being under new management the place is horrible the food is gross it all tastes old they went up in price but way down in quality

Found them on Google, I live right down the street and decided to order. Whoever answered the phone was so rude and refused to deliver food to me because I was calling from a private number?! And I wasn’t! Now I know why the business is always empty.

Because I’m starving and the surrounding restaurants can be a bit pricey I decided to order from this place… I ordered 2 steak tacos 1 chicken and some king garlic fries… My friend ordered a rib eye sandwich combo…
The wait for the food wasn’t long, and we were starving so we dived straight in…
Rib eye was very lack luster… Meat was less then Medicare and the tacos were pretty dry and I got no taco sauce… (no condiments or napkins period for that matter) my king garlic fries that are like $ 3 and some change were regular fries with garlic salt on them… Restaurants thrive when the good us good… You have to give a damn for the food to be good… and these guys clearly don’t care… Should’ve just went with the pricey neighborhood food

Wonderful customer service!!! I called right before closing time and they where still willing to deliver my food. Unfortunately they do have a 15 dollar min for delivery and I cant eat all that food. But next time I will defiantly try them out.

I have not been here for a while until a friend told me that Grill King was under new ownership, no not management but new ownership. I tried the Philly Cheese Steak and sure enough it was awesome, next day I tried the Buffalo Chicken Philly and on the weekend was back there again to try the Gyro plate. The new owner Sam & with his super friendly wife both introduced themselves to me and were very welcoming with a smile. Sam & wife told me they knew they took over a business which was mismanaged but very optimistic & determined to win back the patrons. They won me back. I love small family owned businesses that are ran and managed by the owners.

I used grub hub to order. My first time ordering food from there. I was impressed I ordered philly fries n a philly steak. I didn’t eat the steak same day had it for lunch bexause the amazing philly friea filled me up. I will go back again.

Oh man, I literally could NOT wait to get home to write this review. I used to go here a lot. The guy who set up the place when it opened was super cool, the food was great, quick service and was really affordable. Recently I noticed this «Under New Management» sign they had so I decided to stop in and see what’s up.
Ill tell you what’s up. «Under New Management» apparently means «Lets raise all the flipping prices». The deal that they had before, (the reason why I came back so much) was they had a 3 hot dog and fries combo for $ 4.99. Now they changed the deal to 2 hot dogs, fries and a drink for $ 5.79 or some shit. Clearly a better deal!!! Sure, if your mother dropped you on your head as a baby. But thats not the kicker… They added more menu options! I was actually kind of surprised to see a seafood menu that was reminiscent to Sharks, or JJ Fish. Jacksalmon, catfish, stuff like that… and I am pretty sure that they got the actual seafood menu sign from another restaurant that failed, and Im gonna tell you why.
I decided to order the Jacksalmon. Had 2 different prices. 5.99 for a regular, and 8.99 for a large. I went for the large, because why the fuck not. If you go to Sharks or any seafood place like that, the prices are comparable. and they usually come with fries, some bread and hot sauce. This meal came with only coleslaw and you had to pay extra for the hot sauce! The damn sign had a picture of the god damn fish with a cup of hot sauce next to it! I took a closer look at the sign and they strategically placed white tape over 2 lines of text that stated what the meal came with. I promptly cancelled my order and walked the fuck out. Never again will I set foot in there. Hey new owners of Grill King, i give you a few months before you decide to sell your failing business to someone else. Such a shame too, the place was really cool until you guys ruined the shit.

Gyros are amazing. but stick to that. Ordered a cheese burger, bottom bun was hard as a rock. Hotdogs pretty bland. Fries soggy and blah. 3 stars for gyros and delivery driver is AWESOME. Super nice and friendly.

This place does not accept the Unilocal deal. I placed an order totaling $ 46 and was told Unilocal don’t give us our money so we don’t accept these vouchers. I told her it has your address and information on it, the cashier said oh we are new owners and we don’t accept them. My Order was phoned in already when I had arrived. We have eaten at this establishment before and were very satisfied. NEVER AGAIN. I will be contacting Unilocal as well. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR GRILL KING

Me and my coworkers ordered from Grill King through grub hub. Since it is difficult to leave for lunch, we figured with them being so close, we’d have them deliver. It took them an hour and 30 minutes to make our food and deliver it. We are literally 2 miles down and we didn’t order anything more than a gyro burger, chicken sandwich, and fries. The chicken was so disgustingly salty, I had to throw the rest of it away. My coworkers said the gyro meat was a little off in flavor and the fries tasted like they were microwaved. I will never eat at this place again. To each their own but I suggest never eating here either.

My husband and I decided to do a delivery order since GK has a pretty good food selection, however, the food was nothing but terrible. We have ordered breaded mushroom they were so over cooked they were almost black (plus the beading is terrible) and they forgot to give us our fries (that arrived later raw inside). The pita bread was so soaked with grease.

Ordered through grub hub and it went horribly. They didn’t have an option for no peppers on the beef sandwich so I wrote it in the special instructions and it was ignored. The fries and cheesesticks were cold barely even warm. The feta cheese that came with my gyro was also bad. This was the worst meal ever! !

I was very impressed with the Philly steak sandwiches not too many restaurants in the south suburbs have this quality of food. I also tried the chili very good. I will definitely be coming back here.
Place also was very big and clean. Had really nice Tvs as well.

I found this place on grub hub and choose them because they delivered and the prices were decent. HUGE MISTAKE! I ordered an Italian beef for my husband and wrote in the comments NO PEPPERS!!! Just like that. and it came covered in them. I also asked for my daughter’s gyro sauce on the side and didn’t even receive it. The fries were cold and rubbery. Not to mention this was all after waiting an HOUR for the food, a full half hour after the time they originally sent me for a delivery time. Never going back. Never calling again.

I’m pretty impressed with Grill King. First off, the fact that they are open so late is just awesome. I stopped in a few nights ago starving, and as soon as I walked in the aroma of the food was amazing. I was overwhelmed with the variety and the price of the food! They have a BOGO deal on their gyro sandwiches which I found to be crazy cool. I ordered a cheeseburger and jalapeño poppers, and I must admit I was impressed. The burger was cooked perfectly, and the jalapeño poppers tasted phenomenal. Their portions are huge and the prices are extremely reasonable. I will be back here!

I thought that I would give a local business a try and give it some business… mistake because they were rude, a bit of a language communication barrier, and very unprofessional by complaining about
where I bought my gift certificate (which was listed as a new restaurant). I spoke to the manager who was really rude to me and I explained to her that I just bought this gift certificate. They was very rude and when I finally did buy something, it was just slapped all on there &not much taste. There are much better (and friendly staff) restaurants along Harlem avenue and I don’t intend to come back to this one.

In passing down Harlem avenue in Palos Hills out of the corner of my eye I noticed a place called Grill King. I decided to stop in to see if they had hot dogs, and sure enough they did. Inside was a surprisingly large clean diner with a lot of seating, one large order counter and a fairly big menu.
As mentioned, I came here specifically for the purpose of trying the hot dog. My hot dog came on a dry bun. There was a lot of celery salt applied to the dog as seems to be common in the South suburbs. There was a single sport pepper in the middle of the hot dog and a pickle spear about the same length as the dog, but comparable in thickness as well. The sausage itself did not seem to be fully heated and was somewhat cold. One might say rather than a hot dog, this was a cold dog. The overall taste wasn’t very good, the mustard and relish were applied well enough but the cold dog, dry bun and combination of ingredients led to a bad hot dog.
I also tried the fries here which were very thin shoestring style fries. They were kind of bland, and had an aftertaste presumably from whatever type of oil or grease they were cooked in.
Overall, I was unimpressed with Grill King, perhaps Grill peasant would be a more fitting name. I’m going to award it a minimal one star and recommend you avoid it if you’re looking for a good hot dog.
