Love, love, love the staff, food, and atmosphere of Bayou on the Beach Café! Randal, the daytime bartender, is phenomenal. Very attentive, and he is very good about keeping drinks full, whether it be a Corona with a lime or a soft drink of choice. You won’t go thirsty and you’ll never run out of your choice of dipping sauce. Also, BESTTASTING, MOSTBEAUTIFULLYSHUCKEDOYSTERSINPCB. The wait staff as a whole is outgoing and they know their menus, which is very important, especially dealing with seafood. Deborah is my favorite one of many waitresses that light up the dining room with her constant smiles and fun energy. Don’t leave without trying their famous HOODATSHRIMP! GREATMANAGEMENT! GREATFOOD! And can’t beat a strong smiling staff! FIVESTARS!

This visit started off poorly. We arrived shortly before 3:00. The bar was full so we sat at a table. The bartender informed us that he would send a server over to take care of us but it took a long time. We finally received our drinks at 3:20. From that point on the server was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the appetizer«who dat shrimp» which was amazing and a huge portion, I took more than half of it home. My husband ordered the fried shrimp dinner served with two sides and a roll. They were good, decent sized shrimp and a fair portion. Cajun fries were very good but skip the sweet potato fries. I would definitely return, the staff was friendly and the food very good. Beware of the 3:00 happy hour; they were very busy and service extremely slow at that time.

Who dat shrimp is the reason to go here. I also ordered the Muffalata They grill it with garlic butter which for me kills the sandwich. I’m not a fan of garlic, but if you do give it a try. Draft beer could be a little colder, Next visit I’m just getting the Whose da shrimp. It’s worth the trip.

Only eat the best oysters here! Chargrilled is my favorite. They have wicked good deep fried yeast rolls called peewee rolls that could be addictive! Their seafood is always fresh, the no seafood lovers can be pleased here as well. Only downside is noise level. Come early to beat the noise.

We went here and it is a small place but when we ordered the food, it was wonderful. The house sauce is a must it was so good we bought a mason jar of it to take home.

WONDERFUL! Great food, great service, great atmosphere and reasonably priced! Plenty of choices for any palate! Not a tourist trap! We went this evening and the place was packed with locals at 5pm(6pm our time). Couldn’t have chosen a better place for an early dinner! Our server, Mandy was just awesome!

We’ve never had a great meal in PCB, so this was a pleasant surprise. We were just driving around and stumbled upon it, read the reviews and decided to give it a shot. It was pretty busy on the patio so we figured it was going to be a wait. Hostess stated 10 – 20 minutes, but in actuality took 30. The atmosphere is very casual and loud, live music/bar type feel. Which was fine for us since, music was great and we had a little entertainment. Took the server a moment to greet us, but the wait for the good was not too long. I had the seafood gumbo for my appetizer, although tasty, lacked the seafood. For my entrée, I had the grilled seafood platter. Everything was Cajun seasoned and a pretty good. The tilapia was cooked perfectly and I could not stop eating the sweet potato fries, crispy and perfectly seasoned. My husband’s grouper sandwich was good as well. My son wasn’t impressed with his shrimp dish, but my nephew’s fried gator was the best(according to my husband) he’s had. We wanted to order the beignets, but overheard our serve informing the table next to us it was going to take a little long. Overall a good experience, will go back when we’re in the area again.

We were in town for my daughters gym meet. Disappointed with much of the touristy food around hotels. We came here at the recommendation of a local. Seriously amazing food. Rick was a fantastic server. We are new to the South and he was very informative. You can’t go wrong with anything you choose. We tried several items. The WhoDat shrimp appetizer is to die for.

We have eaten there for the past 3 days at lunch if for nothing alone the amazing oysters which during happy hour are 7.99 for a bakers dozen. With their secret hot sauce and fresh horseradish, they are worth the trip. They have an awesome selection of other creole favorites including yummy boudin sausage and their famous shrimp tossed in another signature sauce. It would be rare to leave there hungry or unsatisfied. The service was almost always good with one bad apple thrown in the mix, but overall it is somewhere I would definitely recommend you visit. We will definitely be coming back next time we are down in PCB.

Great food ! Cool atmosphere ! Wife and I got a dozen raw oyster good size very fresh I think they were $ 14 which is sooo cheap when you live in Ohio and your used to paying like $ 30 a dozen here and hard to find. We also eat a dozen grilled whuich were awesome. I think they were $ 15 a dozen great price! And we split a seafood muffaletta which was incredible 1 of the best sandwiches we ever had tons of seafood, shrimp, oysters, crawfish, catfish in sandwich the bread was the best bread on a sandwich we ever had they ship there bread in from New Orleans daily. The place is a must try if you like Cajun food! Great service to!

Amazing spot in Panama City Beach! We arrived for lunch on a weekday and found lots of locals– very good sign! Kitschy, silly décor in the spirit of New Orleans. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful! She warned us how big the full seafood mufaletta was and we didn’t listen– it is huge! She realized we were tourists and gave us a large piece of foil and instructions for reheating it for dinner. This mufaletta is seafood paradise! It’s almost like a warm seafood salad combined with the traditional olive salad for a mufaletta along with little fried shrimp and oysters. It is super rich! The waitress told us all their bread comes in from NOLA. We also loved the fresh oysters and the chargrilled oysters– just like you find in NOLA– not just baked.

Great place to eat. The place was PACKED and the service was great. The Swamp Cakes and Who Dat Shrimp were AWESOME. The Royal Reds were the BOMB! The waitress did a great job keeping our drinks full and food came out in a reasonable time.

The food wasn’t that well seasoned. Our waitress was nice, but only after we were ignored upon entering. Not to mention… I didn’t appreciate the mammy figure at the front door. I honestly found it offensive.

First time here. OMG I don’t know why I waited so long. I ordered the fish of the day which was wahoo, I got hush puppies, coleslaw and sweet potato fries with it. The fish was a little over cooked but still delicious. My husband ordered the crawfish étouffée which was to die for. We had the bread pudding for dessert, in my top 5 for best bread pudding. There was a live band and the restaurant was packed but our server gave us just the right amount of attention still. We will definitely be back.
