My window had a giant crack in it. It made me really nervous having a child in my room. They refused to move us to another room. We were there 5 days and they did not clean 2 of those days. The website reads, «walking distance to the beach». It’s not! I give the 2 stars because the ladies in the breakfast room were very friendly and helpful.

I’ve stayed in many Hampton Inn’s, this is by far the best one, mainly because staff are very warm and welcoming. From the front desk, to kitchen staff, to cleaning crew, and other ancillary staff that we see walking about, greeting everyone with a SMILE! I swear, I didn’t see a crew with a frown, you can sense that they enjoy working there. We have a habit of checking A/C filters and they were so clean! Breakfast was surprisingly really good, not that there were a lot of choices but the warm breakfast were just delicious. Staff were attentive in cleaning the dining area. It was an overall great experience, staff and breakfast were definitely 5 star class.

Filter in room a/c was filthy(full of lint) moved to another room same thing. Pull a/c vent towards you and check black filter when you get into the room. Definitely NOT on par with the Hampton Inn at Destin, Florida(the filters there were clean an spotless!) Also only have 2 computers to use in business center and rooms are kinda small. I would NOT stay at THIS hotel again and I’m a LOYAL Hampton Inn Customer.

This is the way a hotel should be! Spotlessly clean, outstanding service. 5 star property for sure.

The stars in this rating belong to the young man working the desk on the evening of my arrival. He is efficient, friendly and helpful. Another bright spot was the lobby itself. It appears to be fresh and clean. The business center and fitness center are easy to access and there are refreshments available upon arrival. Unfortunately the room was pretty nasty. The rug is so old that there were spots that were no longer glued down. In addition, the rug was really dirty. I was glad I brought cheap slippers. The furniture was worn and of motel quality. The bathroom floor had dirt ground into the area in front of the sink. The front panel, of the sink had a large crack. Overall the bathroom looked really dated but the toilet and tub looked pretty clean. The pillows were awesome and the bed was fairly comfortable. I usually stay at one of the other local Hamptons in the region when on business but thought I would check this one out. I don’t know about the other rooms but this one really needs to be renovated or only used for spring break. Not for upper level Honors members that are used to the standard Hilton brand quality.

I mean… guys, it’s a Hampton Inn. The bar was already set pretty low. As such, my expectations were met. This particular location was undergoing a remodel, which was inconvenient and, to be frank, somewhat disgusting(bare hallway flooring, exposed drywall? Ick). And, the place was PACKED with rowdy Spring Break-ers. But, the staff was so accommodating! When the frat boys next to me began blasting a soundtrack of techno to their Power Hour pre-game sesh, I called the front desk(yes, I was THAT lady, I am officially old) and they immediately addressed the issue. Didn’t hear a peep the rest of the night. Furthermore, when I checked out the next evening, the front desk attendant asked me, «Those boys didn’t give you anymore trouble did they?» I was so impressed that he remembered and was courteous enough to ensure my stay was pleasant. Other hotel amenities: — One of my beds had crumbs ALLOVER the sheets. Thank goodness my room had two beds and the other one was sanitary. — Continental breakfast is a stale assortment of your standard hotel pastry fare. — There’s no ATM on site. FAIL. Sure, I’d stay here again. If my employer books my travel as they did this time around.

Oddly enough, this Hampton Inn is the closest spot they got next to the beach and is about a mile away, for unknown reasons, the Hilton brand is unable setup a location closer to the beach, as there are a series of different brand hotels along the beach. Maybe it was due to overbooked, but they do not appear to have king size bedroom available. If you enjoy outdoor jogging, a very nice track is located right outside leading to the lagoon, and there are nice restaurants within walking distance too if you are short on DDs. Certain days during the week between 5 to 7pm are happy hours meaning there are free beers at the lobby. Breakfast served here seems to be the generic ones in other Hampton Inns. A place worth re-staying again and the staff seems friendly enough. However, I would avoid this location for hotels during Spring Break season if you visit here for non-vacation reasons.

Free, ice-cold beer in a bucket in the lobby as you check in? Hell yes! I didn’t want one but who can refuse such service? OK, perhaps a few folks might not feel the same degree of excitement of such an enticement(lame!), but it won me over. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and a decent location in Panama City. The beach is just about three blocks south and plenty of good places to eat can be found just across Thomas Point Dr. Solid Hampton location with expected Hampton service.
