Place is run down. Dust everywhere looks like nothing has cleaned in years. Food is subpar I think the only thing that was good was the bread rolls. Pizza was not good, could have found a frozen pizza that tasted better. Ham on the pizza looked liked packaged ham that was never cooked. My Dr. Pepper tasted flat asked for a mountain dew. When I looked at the cup it was dirty on the inside. Tells me they dont clean their building or their dishes. Flies around the salad bar. I would NOT recommend this place. Save your money.

The menu looks great; however, the pizza was not. The crust was a bit too thick, the pepperoni not fully cooked nor evenly distributed and the cheese tasted like it had mayonnaise in it. Weird. Not to mention the dead cockroach in the windowsill of the booth. Not a very clean establishment. The crushed peppers had a kick though so that was good :)

Just got a message from Anthony S.(He must be the owner or something) He quotes«I’ve been to Italy and NY and this pizza is great and that this is by far the best pizza around. I do not know what I am talking about and I should stay in cali.» Also for some odd reason I’m a homo? Thank you Anthony for your wonderful message, I’ll make sure to not return to this location.

My husband and I love this place! Their pizza is impeccable. We haven’t had one that we haven’t liked. The BG Fingers are SO good. Pay the extra dollar for the garlic dipping sauce. Make sure you save some to take home because they’re even better if they’ve been refrigerated. They also have surprising good wings. They’re excellent as an appetizer or as an entrée. Or you can go at lunch and get them from the lunch buffet along with some tasty pizza, a few pasta choices, or a salad. Their décor is a little dated but that adds to the charm. The staff is always so helpful and sweet.

First time visiting this great place. It has a nice, family-friendly vibe. A nice break from your standard chain restaurant. It’s wonderful to support a family-owned business. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. There’s a great salad bar. The pasta portions are huge and tasty, enough for lunch tomorrow too! I’ll definitely go back!

Everything was really nice about this place. It’s not super fancy, but all the food was really tasty. We had buffalo wings, chicken parm, spaghetti, lasagna and a basket of garlic bread(which stole the show). The prices were very affordable and our server(Asia) was excellent. We’re going back soon and looking forward to our left overs tomorrow.

Nice quiet at home feel. The service was quick and the place was quiet, which as awesome! They brought out garlic knots as soon as we sat done and there were delicious. Doughy, soft, and fresh! My husband and I have been a couple of times and haven’t been able to talk ourselves out of ordering anything but the calzones. These things are MASSIVE and they serve it with a side of spaghetti. I will definitely have to try there pizza or their lunch menu. Overall very impressed for a small place that doesn’t get the attention it deserves!

So, I moved here last year, and I’m getting used to panama city, trying restaurants in this little town. I’m from NY, and Italian and I finally got around to trying Luigi’s this week. Wow, was I surprised .I passed this place so many times it was wonderfully delicious food. I went for the lunch as I love pizza. Well, believe it or not it was the salad bar that impressed me. Freshest veggies and selections I’ve had… the doughy homemade bread with the salad was maybe the best I’ve tasted. And did I mention I’m Italian, from NY. I’ve dined in the best of the best in NY, I’m talking waterfront ! I actually read here by a «local» PC’er that«there are no good Italian restaurants in panama city. Well, considering you’ve never been outta Bay county, how would you know? and then he recommended a «chain«. LMAO so briefly, the décor was a refreshing reminder of days gone by, a kinder, simpler time, in distant Italy… old World style. I liked it. I could forget the current world mess of affairs and relax. with free WiFi. Oh, and the pizza, it was ok, thin crust but it was the ambiance, incredible salad array, with pepper cracked dressings and wine and cheese that you will not see. And the Zeppoli’s ahh, I’ve not had these tasty home made delights since I was in NY this summer. Didn’t know these existed in the«redneck Riviera» I want to congratulate the owners for bringing«hidden» delicious Italian to this local area. Salute !

Being new to the area, we’ve been enjoying checking out new family owned — non chain restaurants. At Luigi BG’s we found our Italian restaurant away from home. The service was excellent. The food, ah, the food. It was wonderful — having come from two very Italian households, We can honestly say that the Parmesan dishes were simply divine. The veal and eggplant was crispy and simply melted in my mouth after the wonderful crunch. The lasagna was wonderful by my husband’s standards as was the sauce. It was delicious — no sugar in that sauce — that was a refreshing thing in itself. The bread knots were wonderfully as ted pizza crust balls. YUM We will be bringing friends and visitors around for this wonderful Italian cuisine.

Best pasta sauce in town. Nice low prices. Friendly service. Large portions. Old fashioned atmosphere — not that bright, loud modern stuff, like Olive Garden.

Luigi B.G.‘s is a solid choice for pizza and pasta in Panama City. I agree with one of the other reviewers that Luigi B.G.‘s feels like a family Italian restaurant from a few decades back. In other words, Luigi B.G.‘s is a bit antiquated in its menu and décor. The food choices are very basic pizza and pasta combinations, but I’ve rarely chosen a dish I didn’t enjoy. One of my favorite choices here is the Chicken Parmigiana, which I believe is just made from chicken tenders and marina sauce, but it’s strangely tasty. They often serve this dish as a special with a helping of cheese ravioli, which is also good. I don’t care for their lasagna, as it includes a too-generous-for-me helping of Italian sausage, but if that is to your liking, it may be worth trying. The lunch specials are generally a much better buy than the dinner specials. Of course, at lunchtime there is also an all-you-can-eat buffet consisting of pizza, a couple of pasta choices, and a popular salad bar. One item you will probably get a chance to try whether you visit Luigi B.G.‘s at lunch OR dinner is the BG Fingers. These are the restaurant’s version of breadsticks, which the server will bring your table just like at Olive Garden and the like. The BG Fingers are big, lumpy, doughy breadsticks and I get the impression they are homemade. The size and shape is much too irregular for these to be mass-produced. I did not care for the«fingers» the first time I had them, since they are so big and doughy, but they are one of my favorite things about Luigi B.G. now. I normally order a little cup of the butter-garlic dipping sauce, which costs a dollar, but compliments the BG Fingers incredibly well. I just love this combination! Service is always friendly and prompt. Wine and beer selections are severely lacking, but the family focus probably precludes a greater variety. There are your basic domestic beers, and house wines, which are competitively priced, but unlikely to attract diners who wouldn’t visit.

For years I have loved this place. I always get the same thing when i go, a chicken parmigiana(sp) sub with Alfredo sauce instead of the red sauce. And they have never disappointed me before. Their buffet looks like it has a pretty good selection of things. I always try and go when ever i visit Panama City and on that side of town.

Pizza, pasta, and salad. Luigi’s reminds me of a small town pizza place from 20 or 30 years ago. The food is not too bad, but nothing to rave about. Family friendly environment. A pizza buffet is available during lunch.
