Very knowledgeable staff, friendly, have used this and their mid-town store often and highly recommend them. It’s all about the service… and these guys are good!

Took a bike in for repair, not super friendly or in a big rush but finally got an estimate. They told me it would take a week. I never heard back after a month but I wasn’t in a hurry for it so that was fine. Then I get a message on my phone that it’s been there 50 days and if I don’t pick it up it will be donated! They said they had left several messages and an email but I did not receive them. I was shocked they would give my bike away after $ 130 of repairs and did not mention this when I dropped it off. Plus i got an additional $ 7 storage fee on my bill. I get it back and the kickstand is still broken. I would consider that part of the routine repairs. No offer to help load the bike. They just don’t go out of their way to do that extra to make you feel like they appreciate your business. They get a 2 because the bike rides great now but their customer service is lacking and I thought it was quite expensive.

Passion about bikes… And only that i guess– passionate about you as a customer or your wallet seems to be non existent. I had a bike that needed some new inner tubes and maybe a few other parts swapped here and there. I thought Trek was a great company that had real passion and customer service and sold quality parts so i took the bike there to get it fixed. I thought wrong and wish i hadn’t. The bike mechanic started to work on my quote for the repairs but told me nothing about exactly why or how he was charging me. The only thing he ever mentioned was that the tubes were going to be $ 8.99 a piece. The receipt printer then spat out a long receipt with my quote on it which totaled $ 110… I was charged for things i didn’t necessarily ask for and things that should just be courtesy/at no cost to the customer. I was never even called during the ‘three day guaranteed turn around’ that my bike was finished. While i was in picking my bike up i figured id ask for a breakdown about how/why i was charged and all i got back were short rhetorical answers. Nobody even bothered to dust the bike off before giving it back to me. Bitter experience overall.

Prices are outrageous. Even the clearance rack has higher prices than local competing sports stores. High prices notwithstanding, I brought a couple of gift cards I had collected over a few years(3 yrs max) and found out that the older one had lost value because of its age. What reputable store does that anymore? In some states there are laws passed against these practices. I feel like they stole my money.

I came in to swap a defective rear brake before a big road trip and ride. The mechanics talked me into a different brake — and it is garbage. With my dissatisfaction, their attitude seems to be «oh well…» I spent $ 270 to be unhappy and now with such a short time frame before my trip, I don’t even have time to remedy this.
