Elegant Rose

All I can say is wow. And not in a good way. This single star they’re getting from me isn’t because of their selection (though when I was browsing, some things did seem overpriced) but for the horrible customer service from the owner. I brought in some clothes that had been hanging in my closet for too long and a couple of pairs of shoes. I wanted to trade a little and get cash for whatever was left. I brought the clothes up to the counter and the owner didn’t even look up at me when she said, «It’ll be a while before I get to that.» It didn’t look like she was doing anything particularly important. There was only one other person in there who was trying on clothes who seemed to know the owner and was calling her by name. So she wasn’t busy with customers or her friend or anything. She was just lazily picking at some shirts. I browsed and saw a couple of decent things though I thought they were a little pricey for being secondhand. After 20 minutes I walked back up to the counter to see if she was going through the clothes I brought yet. She wasn’t. She didn’t say a thing to me either. Just picked at shirts and took a lint roller to a few. Wouldn’t even look up. Finally she pulled my clothes out and went through them one by one. She was separating them into piles and I wasn’t sure what they were for. Eventually she said, «So this is what I’ll take, but only if you wash it. It needs freshening up.» I looked and she had two pairs of pants and a jacket. I was shocked! I had brought in a lot more clothes than that, and they were ALL perfectly clean! I DID wash them prior to bringing them in! And the pants had never even been worn! They were gifts that were the wrong size. In the reject pile was a very nice pairs of Adidas shoes (also NEVER been worn because they were the wrong size) and very nice jackets I had only worn once or twice. I only picked the very best, practically brand new items to bring in to her and she didn’t want ANY of them. I saw clothes in her store that were in WAY worse condition than what I brought in. She wasn’t nice at all and when I said, «You don’t want any of it?» in disbelief, she got VERY snippy with me. I pointed out one of the shirts that was particularly clean that she said needed, «freshening up,» and she wanted to argue about it so I just left. She was a nasty, rude lady. Avoid this place like the plague.

It’s such a treat to shop here. They have a great selection, the store is always clean and organized, and the people are kind and knowledgable about the store.

My experience here is that the owner is not very kind. I have had experiences buying, selling and through another job of mine and she never seems to care about the person she is doing business with. She almost seems to make intentional effort to go out of her way to be rude. I think she thinks she is a step above her customers and other people she does business with — including kids in the community.

This is a great used clothing store!!! Every time I’m in town i try to make it over here to find some goodies (which i always do). They sell well known brands which is great because i get to look like i spends big bucks when really all i spent was $ 8 on a pair of Steve Madden shoes! So if your looking for great styles but for a low price i would come here, your guaranteed to not leave empty handed
