This place is actually a bast on Friday nights, karaōke with Jimmy is the BEST karaōke I’ve ever been too and the crowd is a fantastic crowd of people and most people smoke outside so it’s not at all bad.

I like this place it has a nice divey feel to it. The lady bartender is nice. We sat towards the back and she was super attentive. It seems like a crowd of older usuals but they were characters. Hope to stay longer next time.

Need a change of scenery? Step foot into Aj’s Irish Harp, and you’ll be immediately transported back to some midwest town bar stuck in 1986. This place is seriously a trip. Its a gnarly little establishment laden with lovely stained green carpet, Christmas lights, packed with smokers puffing away, and best of all, some awesomely bad karaōke(although I’ve gotta give it a few people who were pretty darn good). The main bartender who works at night is a piece of work, and had no problem yelling at her clients when they just weren’t quick enough with the cash. I loved it; it was just so entertaining. So why the 4 stars? Because if this is your thing, this place is awesome. I dig places that just regular people can come and have a great time; for everyone that was there, this is obviously THEIR bar. Everyone is super friendly and definitely welcoming of newcomers. Visit Aj’s if you wanna get sloshed and sing some bitchin tunes.

When we showed up for a drink one night i was surprised to find all doors locked. Apparently they have no bouncer so they lock the doors and only let in people they think don’t look like they want to rob them. SO if you show up don’t be shy give that door a good pounding so they can hear you over the music. The bar it self was small with a small room adjacent were they had a pool table and some darts. they have an outdoor patio that they opened up out back but it was too cold for me to check out. Bar tender is extremely attentive but don’t expect to find any bear on top. Its all from the bottle. If your looking for somewhere to get away and just have a dink with friends then its a good place but don’t expect to find the usual accommodations. Very few seats, a couple bad TVs that either don’t show color properly or cant be heard and only music is from a jukebox so when the money stops so does the music and it gets pretty quite in there. Not a place to go to watch the game, but i heard they have a karaōke night that gets pretty packed, can’t see how that would be if i showed up on Saturday night to an empty bar.

I went there back in August of 08 for my cousin’s birthday. The place was too small and I had nowhere to sit. The bartender was super attentive, but the drinks were a bit pricey.
