We will never come back to this place again. I had bought this on a groupon and unfortunately it had expired. Apparently, you can still use expired groupons at the business but I was told otherwise. I had actually contacted the restaurant prior to arriving to dine for dinner for a Sunday, the gentleman I spoke with(didn’t catch his name) said that yes we can redeem for the groupon just be sure to tell your waiter. I also mentioned and read to him that the groupon was expired and what the«deal» was. The gentleman still responded that is fine. We arrive to this tiny shack that I almost drove past and walked in to see that there were only two tables seated. The décor was dreadful, Chef Ramsey really needs to be present and call it an abomination, that is how bad it was. The hostess/server told us to sit anywhere we like. We chose a table against the wall and sadly of all tables I chose for us to sit at, it is dirty. The table cloth itself is dirty, I didn’t even feel comfortable leaving my purse on the table. Now to the menu, I will admit there is a lot of variety. So much that I took almost 30min to decide what to get. We started with an appetizer, Insalata Caprese, mind you I never had it but my lover has. …uhm, we didn’t know what to think of it. He said it wasn’t good, I had to drench the vinaigrette to settle the overwhelming taste of pepper. Prior to that, they offer complimentary garlic bread and it brags how they have the best in the city. Who ever is claiming it needs to try again, we had two baskets and the consistency was not the same between the two. Onto entrees, I tried the lasagna and my love got the meat lovers pizza. He wanted the alfredo but the reviews from Unilocal were allll negative, yes every single one of them. We sat next to a family and noticed the pizza looked really good, so that is why he got the pizza. Ugh, dreadful mistake. The pizza came and looked just ok, for one, the Canadian bacon was cut very thick and not chopped into mini pieces, not appealing at all. And then the crust literally was so thin it was like using a flat sheet of white paper and putting 3 pounds of cheese on the sheet of paper and that was just for one slice. My golly goodness, it was too much damn cheese. I love cheese and I wouldn’t even try the pizza. I wish I took a picture but my phone died. He had a two slices and my poor boo boo nearly died from a cheese heart clog and was done. The lasagna was decent, I definitely appreciate Olive Garden a lot more now. Again, best lasagna in the city they brag, another sin going unpunished. Time to go, I guess the owner handles all transactions because she came over and says we took the $ 20 off the bill and the remaining balance is $ 23. My groupon was $ 20 for $ 40. I asked her why is it only $ 20? I called the previous day and was told that the expired groupon was still ok to use and still worth the same amount. The owner said, no because it is expired and we can only do face-value. It made no sense, hence why I called the previous day. This lady wasn’t budging. So I just paid the bill and left no tip. The establishment needs remodeling and better owners. Most of the meal, the owners had a baby in the open, I don’t know if she was babysitting but she definitely needs to make her ends meet. She isn’t quitting her day job no time soon. We boxed the pizza and I asked my lover was he going to eat that? He responded no, so we left it on the curve for somebody to get it. I wouldn’t be surprised if some homeless person opened it up and started cursing because he/she knows how disgraceful the pizza is. Guess we will be sticking to Pizza Hut for; in this case, quality pizza with taste.

Wow, the negative reviews cannot be real people who have actually eaten here. The food is Y-U-M Yum! That marinara sauce is delectable like some angel personally kissed the sweet tomatoes and fresh basil. The food is fresh and spot on yummy and delectable. The place is cozy and that’s exactly what dining in Sicily is like and in that way is a great representation of real Sicilian food and the charm of her dining rooms. If you’ve never been, Sicily, like this restaurant is warm, earthy and inviting and leaves you wanting more.

The best Italian food is in paramount? You betta believe it! it’s a small charming family owned and run place. It truly is in unique. Look, I’ll give you a little a challenge, jut go in and try the lasagna. Amazing. That home made sauce is probably the best I’ve ever had. If you don’t like you’re not human! I always ask for extra sauce myself. i recommended baked, it’s far superior and it melts in your mouth. They have fancy foods too, I’m coming back to try their lamb chops, large shrimp, and steaks, they look amazing! Highly recommend.

The young lady at front counter(hostess) was great! Friendly, charming and courteous! We ordered the Calamari, baked meat ravioli, meatball sandwich, chicken parm and the the lasagna. All were very good with the exception of the chicken parm, it looked(& tasted) rushed. It was far too oily. To the cooks credit, it looked like they were hit hard 30mins before closing. They were gracious in correcting their error and offered me a refund, but i said a credit for next time is fine. I picked up 2 delicious entrees the next day after work, paid the difference and the rest is history. Try the Ravioli and the Margherita Pizza! Great mom and pop place. Great service, ill be back next time im craving Italian!

Disgusting. I would never eat here again. The service wasn’t bad and it was a jam packed location. But nothing here is authentic or delicious, wait I would say only the garlic bread. Everything else tastes as though it came from smart n final and was served to you. I had the manicotti(which was special made) but the sauce was runny and the filling was not cheesy. I would have made it better at home. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Go to Olive Garden for Italian, this place is not the place you want to be at for authenticity. Save your money.

A wonderful time! My significant other decided that we would go to our favorite Italian spot(Café Corleone) for Valentine. I thought it would be nice in a cozier and known environment. We also heard that there would be live music. We set reservation for 7 pm Valentine eve. On Valentine eve we arrived and were promptly seated in a table for two. The house was already full of patrons. There were a couple of bigger party sizes. The embiance was that of some casualness mixed with an authentic Italian feel. The live music started shortly after our arrival. We were surprised to hear such good music coming from a solo performer. He added a romantic touch to the evening as some guests were able to dance to his Italian music. My boyfriend and I slow-danced for a bit and it was so romantic being the first ones to get the dancing started. I love good Italian food and oh boy did I get great Italian food last night! The salad itself was fresh, and the Italian dressing had a hint of some fruit in it(both my boyfriend and I agreed). Our main entrees were absolutely delicious! My boyfriend boasted that his pasta(Luguine di Calamari) was cooked to prefection. I tasted the pasta and had to say the taste of calamari sauce is equal to none! The linguine itself was cooked to the perfect texture. My cioppino fruti di mare was deliciously enjoyed. In fact, I had some left over and can’t wait to eat it ;) The owner herself was very attentive. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we felt catered to. The bustling of the employees in the small restaurant somehow made it more fun to be there. They all were polite and courteous and attentive. At the end of the night, the owner gave me a rose from one of her vases. I found that to be a very sweet and welcoming gesture. I will be going to Venice soon, and having experienced that authentic romance at Café Corleone last night makes me look forward to my upcoming trip even more. It wasn’t fine dining, but I highly doubt any fine dining would have given me the same pleasure and romance I had last night at Café Corleone.

I went to Café Corleone about a week ago with my husband. It was the first time dining there for either of us, and we thought we would try the place out since we had a Groupon deal. The restaurant is not very large, and it’s «homey.» I would consider the food«home style,» meaning it is the type of Italian food you would find in any Italian(Sicilian home) of someone who enjoys to cook. My husband order the pork chop dinner and I ordered the chicken cacciatore. The portion are huge. It’s great because you then have food for the next day. Our meals included soup or salad. We both ordered salads. Originally I requested Italian dressing, but their version Italian is **very** sweet, so I changed to just oil and vinegar. My chicken dish was WONDERFUL! The breast was butterflied and HUGE, it took up the whole plate. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. My husband’s pork chops, there were two, were very big and thick, in a very flavorful glaze. The chops were cooked to perfection, neither too cooked nor underdone. We opted for dessert. Hubby had the chocolate covered Spumoni ice cream and I had the cannoli. Both were delicious. The food get’s 5 stars. I only gave 4 stars because the location(the building and location) is just«so-so.» It is kind of «out of the way» and they close earlier than some restaurants due to their location. From what I understand they are more of a lunch place… but the food is really EXCELLENT! I highly suggest you check out the place, even if it is a drive for you. You won’t be disappointed.

The food was GREAT! Well seasoned, piping hot. The server was nice. I would have given 5 stars but the restaurant as a whole could use a good cleaning. For example, the table cloths on every table were dirty. Not like a little stain here and there, but dirty like«wash me now».

After going on Unilocal!I decided in going and giving this place a try. All I can say is, YOUBETTERGOHUNGRY! They give you so much food that it’s unbelievable, and all the dishes that I tried; Pizza, spaghetti with meat balls, and garlic bread, was absolutely fresh and delicious! I sort of chuckled a bit when I ordered two ‘kid’s spaghetti’ plate and the dishes were HUGE!!! I saw the look in both of my daughters’ eyes as they got their plates, they were like«What!!!» They definitely had extras for a few days. I will be going back to this place again!

I was expecting the same great experience I had at the location in Downey, epic fail. I took my parents out for lunch, the place was absolutely empty on a Friday afternoon. That should of given us a clue. The place has an old house scent, and don’t seem updated. Ok, I try to ignore the fact that the place don’t look very appealing. The food was ok. Not as good as the Downey location. The service was good, can’t complain just the lady or waitress(I don’t know if she’s the one in charge) was into watching the boring tv channel. Walking to the restroom in the back of the place, you can see the kitchen absolutely filthy. Yes filthy. I honestly wouldn not go back, the check was over $ 65 for party of 3 lunch. Honestly it’s not worth$ 20 a plate.

A very pleasant surprsie. Small and quite place where the portions are hearty. Not an overwhelming number of menu items, but all the dishes are well prepared. Looking forward to next visit to try another dish.

My husband bought a groupon for this restaurant, and I was a little leary when they moved from downey to paramount. To my delightful suprise the place was very quaint and the food is beyond superb. I had Tortellini Emiliano and my husband had the Mousallini sandwich. The sauce on my Tortellini was the best I have ever had and I’m not kidding.

I wanted to try this place since it was near my grandmas nursing home plus i had a groupon. theres a parking lot immediately on the left side of the building. the outside looked borrring, but the inside décor was very cozy and definitely had that authentic, rustic Italian feel! i love carbs and the garlic bread was yummy, not dry like some places; i couldnt stop eating it haha i ordered alfredo fettuccinni with chicken. it tasted a little too salty… but the ambiance and service was good, so i didnt care to complain. my sister ordered a Panini with a side of potatoes and a salad. she pretty much loved everything on her plate. they accepted my groupon no problems about it. the bill was $ 1.02 but only because my sister added avocado. we’ll come back! nice little hole in the wall!

I am now very disappointed in this establishment the pizza in my photos tasted salty and fermented the owner corrected the problem, but there were additional charges on my bill. I was really upset that I could not use my Groupon after using one last week for the same meal paid the bill never to return calling Groupon for my money back

This place deserves nothing less than 5 stars. The staff is like family, the food melts in your mouth like Grandmas cooking and the prices don’t hurt one bit. I think we just cheated on Olive Garden

Was very skeptical of this place due to a few reviews regarding the owner whom attempts to force customers to the bar when they have declined. Also read where a lot of customers felt she was aggressive, however, with a Groupon voucher, it was worth trying out. My friend and I went to the Downey location in which Groupon has the address but it is closed down. FYI: Make sure to call and get address before making the trip. It is now in Paramount(down the street). We called, spoke with the owner, she gave us the correct address. What we ordered: Tortellini Emiliana Fettuccini Alfredo with Shrimp Dessert: Tiramisu Pros: Food was authentic Italian cuisine. Not the best I have ever had but quite delicious. The Tortellini with ham, capers, pasta stuffed with cheese and peas were very tasty. The portion size was so big, I couldn’t finish even half of it in one sitting so I took the remaining, huge portion to go. My friend entrée’, «Fettuccini» came in the same sort of portions, huge and tasty but she had to add a little seasoning. I MUSTWARNYOUTHATTHESHRIMPAREHUMONGOUS! THEYHADTOBEPRAWNS! ENORMOUSSHRIMP. Probably the biggest I ever seen. So the 5 ”shrimp” on the plate was enough. My friend even boasted that the shrimp were so fresh, it felt like they just plucked them from the sea, and went straight to her plate! lol Staff was friendly and kind. Not like the reviews I’ve read. Cons: This restaurant needs to update customers of the location move. I would also advise them to serve a different bread. The bread was very hard and seemed more stale than anything else. The Tiramisu was not all that good. Maybe because the espresso was very potent and not subtle like I’ve had in other restaurants.

My boyfriend and I went in for our first time on a Wednesday night around 7. I have no idea how we were the only ones in the restaurant — this place is amazing! Oh well, that only left us to be spoiled by the sweet old lady that owns the place. We started off with their famous garlic bread. Oh my gosh, it is so good. It was crispy and soft and chewy ~ I swear, I’ve been to a few other places where I thought their bread was going to break my teeth. Anyways, he got lasagna and I got tortellini fresh tomatoes. Both were fantastic. Good portion and decently priced. The friends that referred us mentioned it was a little pricey, but I don’t think it was at all. I’ve paid more for half the same portion somewhere else. I kept stealing bites of his plate the entire time. I have no idea how the other reviewer(s) didn’t like it. I thought it was the best lasagna I’ve ever had. We both finished our plates clean, especially with the bread refill. We then ordered the cannoli for dessert. Okay, so I’ve never had cannoli any where else before, so I don’t know if that’s how it’s supposed to taste, but we thought it was pretty good. Bottom line: Amazing food, coupled with the welcoming feel made me feel like I had a meal at my grandmother’s home(which felt so good, especially when you’re never home to have a home cooked meal). We’re definitely coming back for Tiramisu and the calamari linguine I keep hearing about.
