I just moved to the area, and somehow Harold’s has become the center of it all for me. My mom initially discovered this place when she was at my home inspection and she insisted that I go and see for myself. The selection is great, and the food is great. We really like that they have frozen pre made meals that is quality. When we get home from a long work day we can just throw it in the oven. The meats here are quality, and now I have my mom planning her visits specifically so she can go to Harold’s. It’s so nice to have a place like this close by!

Agree with others’ assessments here. Very good corned beef, brisket ad pastrami — good meat/fat ratio, these guys know what they’re doing. If you need a real Jewish deli fix, this is a perfect spot for takeout. Sandwiches were a little expensive, but frankly, definitely worth the price for the quality of the meats.

The sandwiches are delicious here. Lots of meat! oooh so good. I ordered a cornbeef with mustard and a turkey with mustard. Served on rye bread and they give you pickles. There beef empanadas is good. I think it’s cornbeef? No ground beef, I’m unsure, but it’s good. I ate my lunch at home so I was able to add my Swiss cheese to one side of the sandwich lol either way, it’s sooooooo good!!! I will be here again. for sure

Corned beef galore! I love their hot corned beef. We order from them at work and they are good, but sometimes on weekends I pick up some corned beef, cole slaw and russian, then hit a bagel store and make my own sandwiches! So good! Their honey mustard cole slaw is not good, I’ll save you the trouble. LOL

Food like Grandma used to make. I love their foods so much that when I lived in California and came home for visits I would load up on their frozen meals to take back to California. In San Jose they just didn’t have places like this so, Harold’s dishes flew with me with my checked baggage, it never defrost and it would keep me going until my next trip home. I love their Matzo ball soup, knishes, kasha, barley noodles, noodle kugel, stuffed cabbage, pastrami, fresh meats and of course the doctor brown’s black cherry soda. I know there are more choices for kosher foods now locally but nothing compares to the taste of Harold’s prepared foods! Hope they are around forever!

Pretty good selection of packaged and prepared kosher foods… however when I went, most of the dairy shelf was empty. Lots of grape juice, candies, cookies, and Israeli snacks – can’t get enough of those :) The prices were fair, too.

Delicious Corn beef, Pastrami and the freshest Rye Bread. I wish they had another location near me. A good tip, if you have leftovers, wrap the deli meat in aluminum foil and heat in the over for about 15 – 20 min at 350, then serve, so so good.

This place has the best tuna salad sandwich. So fresh and delicious. Very clean store with a wide variety of foods. I can go on and on about their corned beef, pastrami, etc. Just go check it out for yourself. You will not be disappointed. Lots of frozen foods to go as well. Try a little spicy cabbage salad. Good stuff.

Best pastrami and corn beef sandwiches thus far for this 23 year old. All they need is a little mustard and boom. Lunch or dinner, top shelf. Hey, if a German can admit this is my favorite lunchtime spot you know they are doing something right. Go with someone. One of you get pastrami. The other corn beef. And go half and half. You don’t want to miss either or.

Egg salad was bland. Whitefish salad was pretty good but not the best I’ve had. The pickled cabbage was too sweet. Too much sugar. They would not toast bagels. It’s definitely more of a supermarket than a deli place to get lunch sandwiches. Disappointing.

Best spot in the Paramus area for kosher deli, health salads, kosher brisket, et cetera… Not inexpensive, but certainly worth it.

I read all the reviews(only 6, though it really deserves more!) and I tried to take into account every Unilocalers recommendations in my purchases. I went to Harold’s with the intent to buy pastrami because it was Rueben night for dinner… and this Kosher deli did not disappoint. The pastrami was fan freakin tastic. Just the perfect fat-meat ratio. Melt in your mouth delicious. I highly recommend it. Next I purchased the chopped chicken liver and some whitefish salad. I thought the chicken liver was very good, albeit a little strong tasting. The whitefish was just perfect: not a chunky whitefish but blended silky smooth… enjoyed some this morning on a bagel. Finally, my Unilocal friend Chad said the matzo ball soup was great, and being a fan of this soup, I headed over to the prepared foods section in the freezer case and grabbed a pint size container to go. Now, I’m not Jewish, but my grandmother was Eastern European(Polish) and worked as a cook when she emigrated from Poland. I took one taste of that soup and I almost starting crying, because the broth tasted exactly like her homemade chicken soup that she made every Easter. Just so many memories came flooding back from a slurp of some soup. Harold’s Kosher Deil is probably making a lot of grandma’s(Bubbe’s and Babcia’s) proud with the great homemade food they are turning out.

Love me some faux gras(vegetarian chopped liver)! I’d love to get my hands on their recipe… you’d never miss the real thing. Great with some rye bread and egg salad. Can’t go wrong.

I am a big fan of good NY style Kosher deli and very few have stayed«old school» when it comes to deli meats. Harold’s has kept the tradition going with their own store made pastrami, corned beef, hot dogs and knish. Ever since Karpens closed in Passaic park I have been on the hunt and I would occasionally head into the city but Harold’s is now my favorite. the pastrami in particular was hot not dry with the right amount of fat. the bread was real rye not a shelf style. You can’t sit down inside but that doesn’t bother me as long as I can get a GOODSANDWICH at Harold’s you will get a good sandwich.

Very large selection of kosher foods ringing from pastries to frozen entrees. Deli counter has nice assortment of items. Prices were pretty reasonable and the food was excellent. We had brought home a large container of the matzo ball soup and it was amazing. It had such great flavor and the matzo balls were excellent. Love this place and can’t wait to return

If you are looking for a good classic kosher deli sandwich drop by and walk to the back of Harold’s where you will find made-to-order brisket, corned beef and kosher dogs to take off site to nosh. One top recommendation is their chopped iiver-even if you think you don’t like liver-try this balanced silky spread and you might just change your mind.
