yep. Larkin has a bad apple or two but other than that they make up for it in having a great selection of plywoods and all sorts of hard to find items. I think people need to p realize the economy is forcing a lot of high end(contractor grade) tool and lumber shops to make some difficult decisions interms of how to compete with Amazon. Sometimes it gets frustrating, but still, it is no excuse to bring a bad attitude to work. Personally i like Larkin cuz they have quality mdf, mdo, birch ply etc. and some really select hardware items.

Decent selection, rude service. Needed some replacement hinges for kitchen cabinets made by Meplo, a European manufacturer. They seem to be the only store in NJ that has that brand in stock. Prices ok too. Only problem is the sales guy, an older gentleman who wears a baseball cap. What an attitude. Asked him if he was sure the wood screws he included were the right size — the heads looked a little small. He snapped, «Well you seem to know everything, so you tell me?» Yikes. Excuse me for asking. When we left the store, my 10 year old daughter asked my why the guy was so angry…
