I never thought I’d say this but I love vacuuming(for now at least), this is my first day of being a proud owner of an oreck vacuum. I owned a Dyson animal 5 yrs ago that worked great but kept breaking. I would Google and fix it myself till it was dead for good…3 yrs after I purchased. It was also quite heavy and a bit hard to push now that I know what it is like to vacuum with an oreck. I purchased a Bissell after losing my Dyson for $ 90 bc I figured it wasn’t worth buying an expensive vacuum. It didn’t work as well and broke under one yr after I purchased. Two eurekas broke in a couple months and so on and so on. Most vacuums got bad reviews besides miele which is not happening for me, I refuse to spend $ 600 on a vacuum. I’m 35 with one child and two dogs. I’ve been through my share of vacuums, especially since my daughter and my pets. My father surprised me today with the oreck graphite, the very nice salesman at oreck said the vacuum is great for my pets. I know it is not self propelled but it actually feels like it is. I vacuumed my house in half the time with no energy put towards it at all. My thick carpet that always looks dirty a couple days after I vacuum took a tiny bit of energy but nothing compared to every other vacuum I’ve owned. It does use bags, which I do not like. They gave us a bag full of bags for free with purchase. The first tune up is free, I need one annually. Because I have hated every vacuum I’ve owned and been through so many, I’m ok with the extra money. If this vacuum lasts, it’s worth it. I may even get my 8 yr old daughter to vacuum and not complain, it’s so easy and only 8 lbs. 300 dollars, but if it lasts then I would have saved so much money by just buying this in the first place. My friends mom has had her oreck for over 30 yrs.
