The Paramus Park Panera Bread location is the best! Much better than the location on Route 4, that’s for sure! Much better service and much better restaurant cleanliness! I just wish the Paramus Park location was open on Sundays.

I order from this Panera all the time for lunch, and always order the same thing. Whole cobb salad(no avocado) with no cheese and no side. Sometimes I get a half size, sometimes there’s avocado, sometimes there’s cheese, sometimes they give me a random side with it. I would say that they get my order right 1 out of 5 trips there. Because I order online I know that it isn’t an input error. This is a super busy location so I understand they are rushed, but if someone had an avocado allergy it could be a big deal. Just make sure you check your bag before you go!

This is my go to place for lunch. Friendly staff, good food, convenient location. They get busy around lunch time but are still very efficient.

I work in the Paramus area so I spend most of my lunch hours at the Paramus Park Mall. I’ve tried all the food court options but when you are looking for a healthier option there is really only Chick fil a and Panera. Panera is a bit more expensive but I really enjoy their variety of healthy options including the broth bowls, the salads, the soups, etc… I’ve basically tried it all at this point. All the negative reviews about quality confuse me. I’ve never had anything that tasted bad and what are people’s expectations for a $ 7-$ 10 meal? The one thing that would have made me given this place a lower review was the pick up area for the food where everyone awkwardly stands, waiting for their food to be ready, breathing on other people’s food in the meantime — but they recently did away with this! Now when you order, you get a sensor that you place on your table and a food runner brings your food over. This is a much better system and much appreciated by this germaphobe.

Typical slimey sandwich. Didn’t even touch it. Wasted of $ 9 for a shit turkey sandwich

Very clean bigger than others I’ve been to and they bring your food to you. Reason for 2 stars is that the ladies restroom doesn’t have a changing table which I think is absurd. I’m sure many families come here with babies & infants.

This location is far better than the other Paramus location. Their portion sizes are watched more carefully so your meals are consistent from visit to visit. The manager was very frank in helping to choose one dish over another and her recommendation paid off for me. I really like the dish she recommended. I like that they have outdoor seating weather permitting. This place is always a zoo, wish it was larger. I wish they would bring back the healthier whole grain bread!

Been coming to this location for quite a while. Ordered a pick two to eat in and ended up getting a smaller soup bowl from them. The associate said that it was the same size as the eat in one… I don’t think so… not sure if I’m coming back again

My review is based on service and accuracy at this location. The food is very similar at all Panera locations, in my opinion. With almost every rapid pick-up order, my order has been inaccurate. I’ve had missing items like a bagel or chips. My customized requests have been ignored. Once, I went back to the restaurant to fix an order. I called first and spoke to someone named Jose. Upon my return I asked for Jose(as he told me to do on the phone). He did not come out when employees called for him, and I was helped by another employee. I received my missing item, but they didn’t honor the policy listed on the receipt and in-store(in fact, I was told I didn’t need to bring my receipt — but I brought it because it clearly states you will receive a free«treat» for their mistake). I received nothing free, they didn’t want to see my receipt, and even though I decided to make an additional purchase during my second trip, they didn’t offer a discount of any kind. When I visit, I go through my bag before leaving now.

My boyfriend and I were starving and figured, «it’s panera, how bad could it be?» We learned tonight. His chipotle chicken sandwich had a weird aftertaste and my Asiago steak sandwich was ice cold. Now, I can appreciate serving thinly sliced steak at ROOMTEMPERATURE, but this steak was cold, blood red and thickly sliced. Fail! It was like they had just taken it out of the fridge, slapped it on bread and figured that was good enough for a paying customer. Let me say that usually I love panera, but I wouldn’t eat at this one again if it was the last place on earth. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else.

This review is less about the food and more about this specific Panera Bread location. The food is consistent with any other Panera location, which means it is yummy. The layout of this location, however, is not so great. It is very claustrophobic. The cashier line can get long(especially on a Saturday), and with not much room to stand, soon you find yourself standing in line next to someone trying to enjoy their meal. Seating is limited, and the tables are setup a little too close to one another. I also had to ask for new utensils since the ones given to me were dirty. My solution for this not-so-great location… get your food to-go.

This is consistently Panera. I don’t understand some of the bad reviews. Keep in mind this is a slightly higher end fast food. Don’t come here expecting fine dining. Get a sandwich or a coffee and just be happy.

Panera is my go to place when I don’t know exactly what I want for lunch. Came here yesterday with my friend and I agree with many other Unilocalers they need to redesign or rethink their ordering system. I feel like every time I come here there’s always a crazy line and its unorganized. Although the staff does the best they can at controlling the line its still an inconvenience. Other then the cluster fuck I always seem to walk into here they have a really good selection of soups, salads and sandwiches. My favorite soups are the broccoli cheddar soup and the french onion(its also really good in the bread bowls). When it comes to the salads I haven’t really explored it too much I’ve had the caesar salad along with the chopped cobb which I’m meh about. The frontega chicken panini cant be beat its my favorite on the menu. I’ve heard really good things about the mac and cheese so ill have to try that soon. They also have a large collection of baked goods and fresh breads that I like to come buy and use at dinner with my family. They have some pretty good smoothies and iced green tea. Definitely try to come when its not lunch time aka RUSHHOUR you will have a better experience.

Got to say, the worse Panera Bread establishment I’ve been to. Located inside Paramus Park Mall, you would expect it to have fast service, and a pristinely cleaned environment. It is quite unfortunate that one must clean their own table of crumbs and such. The coffee area is full of dried spill stains which only takes a damp towel to wipe off, unfortunately, it appears no staffer even tries to keep this area tidy. Waited for our orders for a bit less than 10 minutes, which does not fit my ideal for a fast food place. The fastest I’ve ever received my order here was a bit over 5 minutes. This is also one of the smallest Panera Bread seating areas I’ve been to. Plenty of other Panera Bread locations other than this one to chose from in the area. Best patron those.

I wasn’t feeling this Panera. Located in the Paramus Park Mall near the carousel, its small and the service was terribly slow. The cashier line forms along some of the tables so you are apt to get stuck with someone’s a** in your face as you are eating. Tight quarters here especially if there is a line on a busy Saturday(like today). The coffee area was also dirty. There were milk and coffee drippings on the counter and no half and half. I’ll stick with the East Rutherford Panera.

Panera’s quality has gone downhill in my opinion. During rush time, like lunch, the lines are long. You’d think they’d be used to a crowd most days because of their location, but I didn’t get that feeling when I received my sandwich before my smoothie. Granted, it takes a while to mix up a frozen, blended drink, so that’s fine, plus the smoothie was worth the wait. But I was not impressed with my ham & swiss on rye. None of the meat tasted fresh & the cheese was stale. At Paramus Park you’ve got a limited food court so this is the best alternative to it, otherwise I’d go elsewhere.

I’ve tried a lot of the salads here and none of them have impressed, thankfully however the paninis are pretty good and the iced green tea is really good as well. My biggest gripe is in how long the lines tend to be and how long it takes to get your food. That aside the place is fine for what it is.

Panera is my go to place! I love the salads and the paninis. My favorite panini is the chicken frontega an my favorite salad is the chopped chicken cob! The bread on the sandwiches are always fresh and soft! The salads have the perfect amount of dressing and the lettuce is fresh. Portions are good but prices are a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for. Panera is clean and the employees move quick.

this restaurant may be relatively new. I don’t remember it being in this mall, but i don’t go a lot either. It has the standard delicious panera bread fair that got me to stop in and avoid the food court. This location is small though and seemed a tad disorganized. i waited on line longer then usual(i usually go to the woodcliff lake location) and the buzzer went off when only 1 of the 2 dishes was ready. also an employee was vacumming in the middle of the afternoon. nice that they are keeping it clean, but an awkward time to do so. all in all, not my fave location, but better then the crowded food court if you’re in this mall.
