Great selection at discounted prices, with helpful friendly staff. Alice and Rod (both are dog trainers) are especially knowledgeable and go above and beyond to help customers. Staff are always fairly helpful for a chain. They carry anything you could possibly imagine for your pet.

Be wary of positive reviews on grooming here on Unilocal.They offered my best friend a grooming discount if she gave a positive review. Do yourself a favor .go elsewhere…

I took my 10 month old Pomeranian, Simba, there today to get groomed. He’s bites. I warned the girls that sometimes it happens. They were all so understanding. I normally would go to Nicole with my old Pomeranian that passed away last year. When I made the appointment on line her name didn’t come up. So I made an appointment with I think her name is Daniele? She did a great job with my wild puppy. He’s not shedding. He smells great and he bit her. She was very sweet with telling me. All she said was that he didn’t like dryer. I can’t wait to bring him back to her next month.

I’ve been grooming my dog here for the past 2 years and they always do a great job. The groomers are all friendly. I feel like Petsmart gets a bad rap sometimes because they are not a private groomer but they always do a fantastic job and the prices are reasonable. As much as we love our pets we can’t all afford to go to high end fancy groomers. This last time we waited to get our dog groomed a little to long and some of his hair was matted, they cleaned him up so well and Charlie looked like a million bucks when they were all done! I love that they give you a little report of how your dog did, what products they used, and how his coat and skin is. They have convenient online appointments to make life easier. Weekends are typically very busy and have to be booked a little in advance. I am always happy with how my dog comes out after his grooming.

Went for grooming my pups – they came out smelling like dirty dog with a dash of perfume.

I usually use petsmart grooming bc i have banfield for both of my dogs. A quick phone # search and ALL of their info comes up… apparently that was too complicated for the person over the phone today (around 130pm). She rudley stated over the phone i HAD to find my dogs papers or he couldnt get groomed, when i tried to explain AGAIN all info was cp, she continued her RUDE tone with me over the phone until she put it down (on the counter) bc i could hear her over the phone yelling and asking wth i was talking about… completely unprofessional and i will NOT be taking my money there, too bad considering i spent for a FULL spa day for my dog at Wayne Petsmart, and she got it right on the first call within 5 mins.

Update: Banfield’s vet (vet company in store) examined our dog. It was confirmed that the dog was shaved too far down to his skin & not allergies as groomer indicated. No Apology from anyone!

If you care for your dogs safety DO NOT GO HERE!!! After picking up my dog from being groomed I placed my dog on my lap and in seconds I noticed blood all over me. She was bleeding profusely from her paw! I immediately go back and all they had to say was a, «sorry we didn’t noticed she was cut. «They rinsed her paw and gave her back. I find it hard to believe that my pup wouldn’t have cried and/​or there was no blood in the crate she was waiting in. How long was she with that cut for untreated? Why wasn’t I immediately notified? Why did they not bring her right next door to a vet to be seen? I’m extremely disgusted in the manner this issue was taken care of and will never come back.

Worst place ever. Avoid at all costs. Our dog was shaved too closely on her stomach and has a burn/​rash from the clippers. Anal glands expelled but her butt is raw. Place is filthy! Most likely the clipper were unsanitary. If you love your pets you would avoid this place!!!

Took my Dog for grooming, while I was waiting I watched a girl who was working on a Wheaten Terrier. She was so rough pulling on his leg, he let out a squeal and she said «stop it!!!» and pulled him by his arm so rough I was horrified. I didn’t know what to do so I stayed and watched through the window and she continued to be mean to him. There was a worker behind the register and another worker standing next to her talking. I turned around and made a comment to them both about how I didn’t like how the girl was treating that poor dog. They proceeded to roll there eyes at each other as if to say «oh brother who cares». I caught them doing that. I let them know I saw them rolling their eyes of course they denied it. Turns out one of them was a Manager!!! Her Name is Kimberley. I have never seen such unprofessional behavior. I was so upset that now I was leaving my dog there to be groomed and worried that she would mistreat my dog. I got my dog and I will never ever recommend the grooming or that store if this is the type of people they hire. Absolutely rude!!! I’m no idiot I saw you Kimberley You might want to rethink your low class behavior, you are not qualified to deal with the public.

Who doesn’t love animals? Anytime I go here, it just puts me in a better mood then when I first walked into the store. I love to spoil my cat and 9 out 10 times I end up leaving with something for her.
Staff is extremely friendly and are always willing to help out. They have tons of small to large animals that you can adopt on site. They even have a veterinary facility on site now which is a plus because you can shop for your pet, while they are being treated too. Awesome place to go look at different pets or just to kill some time.

This store is centrally located and has everything you need.
The best part of it is that the workers are always friendly and helpful and truly have an interest in you and your pet. That is the best service any store can offer.

When you pay to have your dogs nails and anal glands expelled you would expect to have your dogs nails and anal glands expelled. Nails, done. One clipped blood vessel but done. Anal glands on the other hand… When my dogs’ been sharting up a storm and they «supposedly» expel his anal glands and tell you «nothing really came out» you should start to really consider their experience or lack their of. About 5 mins after I left he begins to shart. Didn’t think much of it, maybe some leftovers? But he’s been sharting non-​stop since.
We’ve had this problem with the secaucus location and also had a problem with one of their staff there being a brute with our pug. If you’re tugging on the dogs leg obviously the dog will tug it back. You don’t continue to tug on the leg. It makes the dog uncomfortable and makes him panic.
Anyways, point is be leery of what you pay for. You obviously don’t know what they do in the back room where you can’t see them and to pay for a service and not receive it really pisses me off. Thanks petsmart, you’re awesome!

This store is huge and pretty much has anything and every thing you would ever need for your pets. I have been going here for over a decade and the customer service has always been top notch (though I haven’t tried the vet, training classes or grooming, this review is for the store only).
Every time I adopt a pet, this is the store I go to for all my supplies as it’s slightly cheaper than Petco. Especially if you have the store card.
Love this store and will keep coming back for years to come!

Do not go here for pet grooming services. Horrible groomers who do not know how to treat pets well. Took my dog here for a hair trim and they completely shaved him down bald. I was able to watch part of the grooming through the window and the groomer trimming his hair was being very rough with him. In fact when I brought dog home, he seemed traumatized and was sulking in a corner for 2 days which is very wierd for his personality. I have taken him to a local groomer since and he comes back happy and upbeat. DO NOT USE THE GROOMING SERVICE AT THIS LOCATION!!!

The parking lot can get full very fast over the weekend, especially if there is an event or demonstration going on. PetSmart shares lot space with DSW and Staples. You can blame the DSW crowd for lack of parking spaces. But if you have some patience, or if you don’t mind parking on the Staples’ side, then you’ll be in PetSmart in no time.
I prefer PetSmart over Petco. I like the setup at PetSmart. It’s brighter and it makes me feel better to shop there. I have a 14 year-​old Yorkie. His diet is very specific and they have everything I need to make sure my little guy enjoys the rest of his days in relative good health. I haven’t tried their grooming service yet, but I’ll be making an appointment in a few months.
They offer a lot of services here aside from grooming such as obedience training and boarding. However spaces are limited so you should definitely give them a call. Added bonus, they offer a complimentary rewards card.

The facilities are clean, well organized, and well lit. The reason I gave 4 stars is because they do not carry everything like on the website and also I feel they did not hire enough people as there were some visitors but not all could be helped as there was not enough staff to help out the customers.
They are also not open on Sundays as indicated above so BEWARE!

I like this store, but wish it would carry more of the stuff in the physical store that Petsmart sells online. Parking is abundant here and it’s easy to get to off of the highway. They have all the basics you would need for pets but not the specialty items that they sell online on their website. I would like to see more things like wearable backpacks for humans to carry their small dogs in, bicycle carts to put your dog in to pull behind your bike, and bike baskets to put on the front of your bike and carry your small dog inside of. All these things can be found online but not in the store…

Good place overall with great selection. Prices seem a touch high. Weekends suck a bit when people stand inside and ask for money constantly, but it’s not too bad. Get a free discount card — makes a big difference.

I was a Petco fan for quite some time, then they opened up a Petsmart that closed down by me and thusly I turned to the supermarket.
Since it was my day off I decided to venture out and see what Petsmart was all about… yet again.
I do like the layout of this particular store, it’s bright, clean, inviting… and labeled well. Since I have a cat, I figured not a whole lot of floor space would be dedicated to them, but I was wrong. The prices on litter and cat food are also far cheaper than supermarket! (I know, supermarket marks it up because it’s convenienet… but still!)
The guy at the checkout seemed a little off… probably for many reasons… which is why he works there and I work where I work.
Didn’t really need help with anything (at least here… lol!!!)…so not sure what to expect from the staff.
I do recommend going here compared to some other places that are close by!
