I was at this store on Black Thursday and the manager who is of Hispanic descent was extremely rude when I asked him for help… He practically laughed in my face and dismissed my request for help with printers. However, when he saw my husband who is white (he didn’t know we were together) he asked him if he needed help (FYI my husband didn’t even ask him for help). It really irks me when minorities discriminate against other minorities and then wonder why they are discriminated against by non-minorities. So because of the manager’s deplorable actions, Staples lost a $ 900 sale and two customers to Office Depot!

Let me add to the choir chorus of those that work here doesn’t seem to want to be there. I went in yesterday and needed to get items printed out from my cloud. The machine there was crashing and the woman at the print section told me to use the terminal to do my printing because «your file is making machine crash.». She then went on a loud tangent about how my file made the machine crashed when other people were able to use it without any problem. Which was upsetting. Glad store wasn’t too busy with people because I would’ve been annoyed/embarrassed.
So forced to use a terminal I didn’t want to use in the first place, wasting more time and money i didnt necessarily want to spend, and being harassed by a staff
Person just to print a 2 page report… Ugh. Will spend the money on a cartridge to print at home next time.

So if you like customer service and associates helping you find things, then this is not the store for you. The economy hasn’t turned around just yet folks, so all businesses are keeping staffing to a minimum in order to control labor. You may only see 4 associates here during the day, and they may all be at the registers.
If you’re like me, then you prefer to be left alone when shopping. I like to get a feel for the layout because it’s more than likely that I’ll shop here again. Like all Staples, the layout is predictable, which makes finding what you’re looking for relatively easy.
Parking it’s abundant but scattered. It’s a shared parking lot so it will get full for extended periods on Saturday. This location is closed on Sunday due to Bergen County Blue Law.
