After my kdrama marathon I had a really bad craving for some bibimbap. I was glad to see that there was a place nearby and I did not have to drive all the way to Fort Lee. I ordered the Vegetable Bibimbap from the lunch menu! It was pretty good and the price was good as well. It came with a bowl of miso soup. They definitely did not disappoint me with their banchan. Standard kimchi, some fermented pickles(I think), fish cakes, bean sprouts, spinach, etc. Service was very friendly and the place was very clean. Will definitely be coming back. :)

Great food and very attentive service. Very authentic Korean cuisine. Spicing was perfect and portions were generous. Very casual place to go for an exquisite meal.

Such a wonderful experience! It was our first time eating Korean barbecue and Sunyoung made sure we had a great meal; it was extremely memorable. Everyone was so nice and helpful and we know it was authentic because of the customers(many Korean families). They shared our joy and happiness and it was awesome. They have a garden in back where a lot of the problems comes from and it was all around incredible.

Happened to be in the area after some long shopping in Paramus and decided to give it a try. It was excellent!!! Didn’t know they had a buy 2 get 1 free deal and originally ordered 2 meat sets. Surprising they approached us and told us of the special and asked if we wanted to add another set! How very proactive of them! There was soooo many Korean side dishes which were very yummy and the marinated meats were very good. The servers were actually the one cooking for us but that was nice because I felt like I was being well serviced. The only drawback was the lack of soap in the bathroom! But otherwise I would come back!

Came here to try out the bbq since there are not many in upstate NY. And this was closer in comparison to picnic garden or getting into fort lee. We tried out the galbi(which will always be my favorite). However the galbi here was mediocre. It is not as marinated as galbi traditionally should be. Also they pre cut everything into tiny pieces without showing you what area you should be getting. Usually galbi has bones because its around the ribs, but they give you whatever part they can give you. It was priced at $ 32 for one plate. I know kbbq is expensive but if I knew that I would have made the trip to picnic garden for the same quality but at better deals. They also had a promo which is buy 2 meats get 1 free.(Monday — Friday only) They brought out two plates and when we asked for the 3rd plate the waitress told us that she had combined 2 plates into one. This was obviously bs because the two plates had the same portions and honestly they don’t give much. We questioned her but she played dumb. We ended up paying $ 80 for«3 meats» of galbi. Not worth in my opinion. Although they are attentive in serving, and assisting you on cooking your food. The quality and pricing of food obviously still all matter. Sorry but they’re playing mind games with you when you enter here.

Love this place. Had another Korean BBQ last night and this solidifies it for me as a place to go time and time again. They are helpful and polite and understand that we are not Korean so need some«lessons» on what to eat and how to eat it. Definitely will go back.

Not very good Korean food. There are much better places to get BBQ, both in terms of taste and quality of meat. Would not come back.

This restaurant had become our go to Korean in Bergan County saving us the drive to Ft. Lee. A Korean friend in the area recommended the place and we absolutely loved it. The patrons number many Koreans which is always a good sign for the authenticity. They service is friendly and omnipresent for any of your needs. The tables have the bbq’s built into them. They have an extensive menu for all of your culinary desires. I have yet to find something that we order not being great. I highly recommend this restaurant. The only reason for four stars instead of five is the ambience is just ok, as the dining room is a little sparse and has TV’s in it almost like a bar. It doesn’t really take away much from the rest, but is the difference between a four and five star rating.

My daughter wanted Korean BBQ for her birthday. So we made reservations and came here. Honestly had no clue what to expect as this was our first time doing Korean BBQ. Pleasantly surprised. The staff was attentive and efficient. We started with the wings and the dumplings. We had the ribs and briskets and both were yummy. All cooked right in front of you. You get so many side dishes and all were really good. Don’t ask me what I ate but it was all good. I also asked for a fork, my bad. Did not feel out of place at all here. This place is not cheap but the food was really good. Glad she chose to come here.

«Friendly staff, but other than that, just drive the extra distance to a better Korean BBQ restaurant.» I came by here on a Sunday right before the dinner rush, at which point it started to get crowded. Though I was excited about finding a kalbi restaurant that wasn’t all the way down by Fort Lee or Palisades Park, that feeling was cut short. The kalbi wasn’t good. The meat was very low quality. It was way too dry and we found a small, bone chip in the meat, which you shouldn’t really find in good kalbi. The daenjang jjigae, however, was good. It was pretty spicy; more so than daenjang jjigae from other places, which I really like. The rice also seemed pretty low quality; not sticky, and crumbles easily. Besides a spicy fish banchan, the rest of the sides weren’t particularly special. The staff were friendly and attentive, but it doesn’t make up for the food. Overall, I wasn’t a fan and I doubt I’ll be coming back. There are definitely much better Korean BBQ places in Bergen County.

Some awesome Korean BBQ with friendly staffing. Extremely clean and well lit. Immediately greeted at the door, sat fast. It started to fill up more as we left but when we got there the restaurant was relatively empty. The banchan was plentiful and delicious with scallions, bean sprouts, fish tofu, ginger salad, kimchi, radishes and many other things along with dipping sauces for the meat. We got an order of both fried and steamed mandu, both were delicious and the sauce was good. During the weekdays there’s a buy two get one free deal on Korean BBQ plates. We got the sliced brisket and two plates of bulgogi. The brisket wasn’t anything special– wouldn’t get it again. The bulgogi, though, was fantastic! Soft and delicious and sweet. The server was amazing too, I wish I had gotten her name. She cooked the meat at the table for us and made many suggestions as to what to combine with the meat to eat, such as the chili paste with some scallions and radish. She was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions without making us feel unwelcome. Overall an awesome experience. The only thing is that it’s pricey but with the banchan and the buy two get one it was worth it.

Really enjoyed having an early dinner with my good friend Justin. My first time having Koren BBQ and loved the entire experience. Staff was attentive and enjoyed the Bulgogi and prime rib eye and finished the meal with shrimp. The 2 for 1 special is for dinner only Mon.-Fri and highly recommended. The green tea that came in a can was surprisingly good. Like other have mentioned, you don’t need to drive to Fort Lee or visit NYC for some quality Korean BBQ. Thanks for treating me Justi, next one is on me.

I came here for dinner on a Friday and the restaurant smelled slightly like bleach. They had probably just cleaned the place or something, but I couldn’t get the smell off my mind. They have a pretty decent special, buy 2 meats get a 3rd meat free. Still ends up being pretty expensive though, especially in comparison to other Korean BBQ joints. The grills here are gas, which makes it more convenient, but I prefer the hot charcoal used in other places. The service was pretty good even if it was crowded. I noted that there weren’t very many Koreans eating here. Nothing special about this Korean BBQ joint other than the fact that it’s not in the Fort Lee/Palisades Park area.

Overall good food. Definitely comparable to all the great places in Pal Park. This is the only KBBQ place I know of in the area, so that’s great for them! Order steamed egg with your ban chan… Good variety of ban chan Pretty typical prices. Would return if I crave KBBQ, however I would probably go to the city now that I moved away from Paramus.

So this was my second time having Korean BBQ, but the staff were so helpful and willing to lend a hand that it made my experience that much more pleasurable. It says something about a place where they take the time and opportunity to turn a dinner into an educational experience and still make you comfortable and welcomed. They are running a deal for a limited time where if you buy 2BBQ dinners, younger the third for free. Tonight we had the Pork Belly, Marinated Shrimp, and Bulgogi — which since we were cooking it ourselves, it was cooked perfectly. Wonderful taste. Plentiful side dishes too. While you’re there, try the dumplings and the Mul Naengmyeon. Yums!!!

Let me preface this by saying Seoul Galbi is the only Korean BBQ place I’ve ever been to and ever had. With that said, I loved it! Been here twice so far but I’m definitely planning on coming back. Their service is very nice and attentive. The food is very good! I’m not a cultured enough person to pronounce or spell some of the things I ate here so please bear with me. You come in and order and immediately after they put like a million little plates down for sides and stuff. Some are fish dishes, some are dipping sauces and some are veggies. Then they bring on the meats one at a time. We had the pork belly which is great. Tastes like thick cut bacon. Also had the prime rib which was very good. And last we had the Balgi? Baldi? Galbi? I don’t remember what the heck it was called but it was my favorite of the 3 meats. It was like marinated and seasoned in something. I wish it was the first one we ate because I was so full by meat 3 I couldn’t devour it as much as I did the first 2. We got salad too. It’s like the Korean version of the ginger salads they give at Japanese places but even better. I don’t know what the hell was in that dressing other than ginger but it was awesome. We also had the chicken wings which were good. Standard chicken wings, good not great. I saw some bad reviews here saying the Korean BBQ places in Fort Lee and Edgewater are so much better and this place sucks blah blah blah. I’m obviously not an expert on good Korean BBQ because this is the only one I’ve been to but I know good food and Seoul Galbi definitely has good food. At the very least, it’s better than adequate, that’s for sure. Whether or not the Fort Lee places are better, I couldn’t tell you. But I will definitely continue coming to Seoul Galbi because the food is good and it’s in my hometown.

Today we had the Korean BBQ(Pork Belly and Bulgogi). You get a free BBQ order if you get two. We also had the Yuk Gae Jang and the stone bowl Bibimbap. There was plenty of Banchan. There were only two of us with this much food(it’s my birthday and we overindulged) but the servers did not make us feel uncomfortable about it. They were very courteous and helpful. Everything was so tasty. We enjoyed every bite. Of course we had to take some food home because there was just so much. We have been eating here when they were still called Pine Hill. I do not know if they are still owned by the same people, but I know the food is just as wonderful and the staff is just as nice. It is fortunate to have a Korean restaurant here in Paramus and not have to drive all the way to Palisades Park or Fort Lee.

Came here last night for round 2 at Seoul Galbi hoping for a better experience than last time and I was very pleased with this visit! We had reservations for 3 people at 7PM arrived promptly and were seated rite away. To start they are having a pretty cool promotion going on where you buy 2 meats you get the 3rd on the house. We decided on the same meat we had ordered previously and was happy to see that the amount of meat had dramatically increased from our last experience. Our waitress Yoo Kyung was great! She helped us with explaining all the side dishes and was kind enough to let us know that all the side dishes can be refilled for free which I didn’t know before. She cooked all of our meats to perfection and didn’t rush us at all. The meats were amazing and the marinades really enhanced the flavors. I also really enjoyed the fried dumplings we ordered, they were a little bit greasy but just dab them with a napkin and you are good to go. Overall everything was really great and our experience was perfection with the help of our great waitress I can’t wait to come back!

Looks can be deceiving. Pulling up to this restaurant, I had a few doubts. It appears to be a château of some sort by the side of a very busy street. One would not expect to find a Korean restaurant in this setting. The décor is also out of place. Perhaps it due to the faux wood panels and huge ventilation hoods and glaring flurescent lights. But, the clientele at the tables credentialized their restaurant. Just about every table was packed with Korean folks. Looks like this place is legit. We enjoyed the Galbi, Steak, Pork Belly, Tofu Soup, Seafood Pancakes and Crab Soup. Portions are large, perhaps 1.5 of a normal serving. Unlike many restaurants in NJ, this one has a liquor license and you can get your drink on. The banchan was so-so, and I thought their tofu soup was fantastic. The pork belly was better than the galbi. The galbi lacked flavor. Just lacked that wow factor. Service is great. They worked the grilled and kept checking in on us.
