Decent brisket and ribs. Sides aren’t much to get excited over. New hours and they close early at 7:00. Place always looks empty but we get ours to go.

Wasn’t impressed with BB. To start with, if you are going to open at a certain time, and certain things on your menu need an amount of time to be ready to serve, then get there early enough to have them ready for opening time. I got there 30 minutes after opening time and the two things I wanted to order«aren’t warm yet». So I settled for brisket and hot links. Not much to say about the HLs, as they were your standard buy ‘em and heat ‘em up sausage. The brisket was so dry I had to smother it in bbq sauce(which I rarely ever use at BBQ joints). It really didn’t have much flavor either. The potato salad was good, and the beans earned them the second star. There are enough places to get passable BBQ while I’m in Paris, that I doubt I will return. They would have received three stars from me if they would have at least had what I wanted ready to serve, maybe even four if those items had been good. If nothing else having them would have kept me from ordering that brisket.

Being from Canada… I am obsessed with finding great anything, especially those that offer food I can’t really get in the great white north. My extended family from Paris took for a field trip to Bodacious BBQ for lunch. A short drive and we walked into a VERYLARGE room, spartan with tables here and there. A quick stroll up to the ordered window and I realized, I needed a bib. The aroma of bbq hit like a sledge hammer. The folks behind the counter crave your choices to order. Plates are plentiful. DONOT skid the sides. Ridiculously delicious. Not sure if I mentioned that it wasn’t much to look at… but the food is amazing. Hit the little self serve area for pickles and onions :)
