We went to the Gliteretind for Father’s Day dinner last evening. It was such a huge disappointment. Everything was bland. The corn soup is a joke. The broth was so bland, the corn was not even fresh given corn is in season. The waygu beef tartare was not fresh. The filet was cold. Four of us looked at one another and said«WOW, this is bad». The main chef must not have been there. The only good things there were the bread, butter and some nuts. I’ts your off season, but your entrée prices aren’t discounted. Overall, such a unpleasant evening because the foods were so bad.

The service was HORRIBLE. We showed up for our 1pm reservation for Sunday Brunch right on time. When we made the reservation, we were told that we would be sat in the main dining area. After waiting 10 minutes for our table to be ready, they sat us in the lounge area. We asked to be moved to the main dining area like we had been promised. The manager responded with«Well you can order brunch and from the a la carte menu at that table». Since we were all having the brunch, we still wanted our original table in the main dining area. The staff was too lazy to prepare a table for 9 in the main dining area after they had just sat a huge table of 14 before us. After being told to wait outside for another 15 minutes while the staff prepare our table, we were finally sat at 1:35pm. This was not appreciated since our original reservation had been at 12:30pm but we changed to 1 at the request of the restaurant staff to accommodate a bridal party. It was now 1:35pm. I believe the last seating for brunch is 2:30pm. We told the staff at the time of making the reservation that we would be celebrating a special occasion so this pretty much ruined the day. The manager was aware of this whole situation unfolding and did nothing to help. She simply shrugged her shoulders and walked away. I have been to Sunday Brunch 4 – 5 times in the past and the food has always wonderful. This time definitely was a disappointment. Don’t even waste your time or money on this brunch unless you have an 11am reservation. At 1:35pm, they had stopped making some items and we were told that no more would be made that day. One example of this was the crème brûlée of which I always look forward to. When I asked my server around 2pm if they would be brining any more out, she told me no very rudely. The staff had begun cleaning up some of the Buffett options and I did not get to enjoy some of the things that I would like to. Steins is really going downhill. There were people dining at the Sunday Brunch wearing jeans and wife beaters. I felt like I was in an Arby’s instead of a «4 star restaurant»

We came in the off season and although the place was practically empty, had to wait for a table until we finally said we would just sit in the bar area. The bar food was just ok and I can’t say that we felt a warm welcome. Should have perhaps tried another meal to give a more balanced review but with better dining options in town, we had no desire to go back. The setting is nice, the food okay, but it was not fantastic.

Easter brunch at Stein’s was amazing! The food was 4-star or better if that’s even possible. The service was impeccable. I would definitely recommend this place.

Such a fun Sunday brunch. Went with my boyfriend for the start of his birthday weekend, and had a blast. We brought in our own bottle of Prosecco(I believe corkage was $ 25?), and they were very accommodating bringing out a small glass of orange juice so we could make our own mimosas. I had a cappuccino which was delicious, while my boyfriend ordered earl gray which was happily brought out in a proper pot. As for the food, it was delicious and plentiful. Crepes, omelettes and waffles made to order, with many different stationed items. Favorites included the maple glazed bacon, eggs benedict, my nutella-banana crepee, the(pre-cracked!) crab legs and shrimp cocktail. We thought we were going to explode but still made room for dessert(don’t we all), and thoroughly enjoyed all of the options there as well. Brunch does not come cheap here at $ 48 per person, but it was incredibly enjoyable and we felt as though we got our money’s worth. It’s also a beautiful room and we were lucky enough to sit by the window overlooking the mountain, so all in all it was a perfect start to a gorgeous Sunday! Glitretind for brunch is a MUST.

Their Sunday brunch is one of the most amazing offers in all of Utah! I came here with my fiancé and was not disappointed at all. As far as buffets go this has to be one of the best in the state and probably very comparable, if not better, than a lot of Vegas brunch buffets. It has eggs benedict, crepes, lamb, fresh seafood, an omelette station, fresh salads, and a stocked dessert section! I think our favorite part was sitting basically right on the slopes. The view is gorgeous, if its a nice day, and the ambiance is beyond perfect. It is super busy but the food is consistently fresh and re-stocked. Definitely looking forward to trying this place again soon! You do such a fantastic job at brunch Glitretind.

Truly the best Sunday brunch I’ve ever had. Better than the grand America which is my favorite. We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and even though I was full I couldn’t stop getting up for more!!! The largest spread and the freshest food by far. Fish, eggs, salads, classic breakfast dishes like waffles and crepes and omeletes made to order, coffee, mimosas and a whole dessert bar you easily easily could spend hours here soaking up the ambiance, excellent service and breath taking views of the top of deer valley mountain. A definite splurge but well worth it!!! We will be back

Maple. Glazed. Bacon. Went here for brunch with friends and felt like I was on vacation. The views are amazing, and the food is even better. From traditional breakfast food to ribs that fall off the bone to dessert heaven, they have you covered. You will find both quality and quantity here. I don’t know what my favorite dish was because everything was delicious. Can’t wait to go back and indulge again.

Went here for Sunday brunch. My wife and I cannot understand what the great reviews are all about. There was a good selection of foods however, the flavor was not there. Sushi was dried out, desserts were bland, got chocolate was waiting for us when we arrived, but tasted like Swiss Miss. :-P The best taste came from the crepes, apple crumb, and the soup. We have had better buffets.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at The Glitretind with our family. We had heard good things about the restaurant but we were very disappointed with the level of service. The food at the special Thanksgiving buffet was excellent. There was a nice selection of traditional Thanksgiving fare along with a salad and seafood bar and some very good desserts. However, we waited a long time(15 min) for anyone to come over and explain the menu to us after we were seated. Then no one offered us a cocktail and we had to ask for a wine menu. At the end of the meal another person dropped off the bill without asking us if we wanted coffee or anything else(and we noticed other tables were being served coffee). All in all very disappointing, given their reputation and the fact that we spent over $ 600 for a party of four. We had a superb experience at the J&G Grill at the St. Regis the night before, so I would recommend trying them instead!

The Stein Eriksen lodge has long been one of my favorite stops to eat. Today the service was terrific! We brought our 7 month old daughter and the entire staff was so gracious towards her. She dropped a toy they picked it up, came and made her laugh, it was wonderful. Agata was excellent as always, she has served my family a few times and has always been great. Willis at the front desk was a wonderful host, and even took the time after our brunch to take us outside on the porch and over to the statues for pictures and gave the baby a coloring book! Thanks Stein Crew!

Amazing view! Ask for the fireplace area to eat. It’s romantic :) the service is just simply perfect. The timing. The attention to detail. And the food!!! OMG… wild salmon was crispy on top with just the right amount of texture to it. The heirloom tomatoes are to die for… a must! Thank you so much for a great time and Lyndee was an great sever with suggestions and service

Brunch deserves 5 stars. Dinner the night before only deserves 3 stars. So I’m giving this 4 stars. We had an issue with my meal being undercooked(fish). Taste was good but I expected better from this place. The brunch however was ridiculously good!

I’ve never been more happy to write a 5-star review as I am now. Let me begin by saying that Sunday brunch is simply one of the best events of the week. The whole concept is phenomenal. That being said, the Glitretind Restaurant at the Stein Eriksen hosts the best brunch in Utah in my opinion. I’m also willing to take this a step further and place it on the same level, if not higher than most of the elite brunches in Vegas. From start to finish this place delivered. So many different cuisines to choose from. Traditional breakfast, seafood choices, cheeses and meats, made to order omelet station, prime rib, fresh made waffles, maple glazed bacon, BBQ short ribs, poached eggs and hollandaise, bananas foster and a desert station that is worth the price of the buffet by itself. The full bar hosted a series of creative bloody mary’s as well I will have to try next time. What made this brunch so amazing is that everything I listed above tasted fantastic. The service, from the hosts to the servers to even the managers helping out was terrific. It was a great visit and I’m already looking forward to my next trip there.

We had brunch here for father’s day. I have one word for you. BUFFALOSHORTRIBS! Wow! Amazingly tender, cooked in a fantastic sauce. And the au gratin potatoes hidden between the short ribs were creamy and soft but not mushy. I have to admit that I went back for thirds. They went all out for Father’s Day. There was no way I could even taste everything they had. The buffalo was my favorite. The chicken was too salty. I also enjoyed the buffalo prime rib, several delicious and fresh salads(although the caesar could have used a bit more dressing). They had omelettes, crepes, mussels, crab, shrimp, and some fish that I did not try(although my husband loved the crab and shrimp). I thought it was adorable that they had a kids station with fruit kabobs, celery with peanut butter, chicken fingers(which were huge), hot dogs and macaroni and cheese. However, my kid didn’t eat any of that. All he wanted was the pancakes with maple bacon inside. Obviously they were delicious because he ate two of them. And then there was dessert! So many cakes and pies to choose from. I picked several things to take back to the table to entice my son. He didn’t eat hardly any of it. So I tasted each one. The chocolate football shaped cookie was meh. The individual lemon meringue tart was too sweet. The apple pie was delicious and the apples were perfectly crisp and soft at the same time. The individual key lime tart was amazing. And I really enjoyed the peanut butter cup nestled inside of a peanut butter cookie shell. The vanilla cupcake was unremarkable. I make way better cupcakes at home. My husband really enjoyed the brownies. I tried some sort of chocolate torte but it was way too chocolaty(never thought I’d say too much chocolate). It’s a bit pricey, but I’ve eaten at this brunch once before this time and I would definitely go back. I’ll just eat short ribs and the key lime tarts!

We came for a late lunch. The service was fine, although we had a split party and table 1 got their order and food while table 2 continually was late, not the biggest issue. Great view, we even saw a wedding. My advice: don’t order the pretzel … Ever. It was the worst pretzel I have ever had. If you like medium rare burgers, order it rare because everyone got a step past what they wanted. Medium rare= medium. Medium plus rare = very medium. We had multiple burgers and consistently over cooked.

This is the best brunch/lunch I have ever had. Right up there with the Langham in South Pasadena [or is it San Marino?](a sentimental favorite). Right near the max $$$ I’d spend for brunch, but if it’s a special occasion or someone else is paying, hey, Treat Yo Self. This is a review of the buffet brunch. Buffets can be scary in so many ways, but at Stein Eriksen, they keep it reasonably classy. The seafood is surprisingly fresh for Utah — that is saying something, I would normally steer very clear of fish in a landlocked state like this. Also, boy oh boy is that fish plentiful – I tried clams & capers, mussels, crab legs, and shrimp. All flavorful and as fresh as I’ve ever had. In addition to the seafood(which, SPOLER, kind of stole the show), also had eggs benedict(sort of soggy, not too amazing), and prime rib(delicious, couldn’t eat too much but it was deliciously fatty in a good way), and pork ribs & polenta(great sauce on the ribs and polenta was a great accompaniment). The service could not have been nicer, both in and near the restaurant, as well as outside on the patio. One suggestion I’d make would be to have the folks at the meat stations more willing to help with questions. I helped a few French folks navigate the dishes, and there were a few large, wealthy patrons whose brat children could have benefited from the stern eye of a member of the restaurant staff. Overall, go for the food, stay for a million pictures and maybe a hike.

Stein Eriken isn’t kidding around. They talk the talk and walk the walk. I came to the Glitretind with my mama for lunch and we had a five star plus plus visit. First, the staff at Stein are there to make sure you have everything you need. As we walked around outside it began to sprinkle, within a minute a staff member handed us an umbrella before we even realized we needed one. Our lunch was pleasant with a beautiful view of the mountains. I had the roasted tomato with ricotta which was light, flavorful, and a creative vegetarian option. My mama had some sort of breakfast which she raved about, savoring every last bite before I could get a taste – I should mention my mama almost never finishes a meal. We then finished our meal with some sort of chocolate sampler. It was so good I wish I could have licked the plate. While we leisurely strolled to our car after lunch a staff member stopped and asked if we were going to the valet. After nodding in agreement the staff member ran ahead to make sure our car was ready and waiting when we walked out the door. Like I said, Stein isn’t kidding around. They know what you need before you do and make sure you feel like some bourgie millionaire guest… even if you do drive a ten year old honda.

Fantastic! Everything was fantastic. This is the third time I’ve been here and it has done nothing less than impress me. The brunch buffet is amazing. From eggs Benedict and blueberry French toast, to crab legs and lamb t-bones. The omelette station and waffles are great and the desserts a sweet and plentiful. Drinks are well made, but spendy. If nothing else, you should come up here to just look at the view… it’s well worth the drive!
