Go!!! We had the restaurant for our son and daughter-in-law’s rehearsal dinner and it was wonderful! Chris, Brian and all the staff were so easy and fun to work with. Our guests loved the place and the food was excellent. Planning the dinner from another city was made easy by the help we received. The atmosphere was great –warm and inviting. It was the second time they ever closed down for an event! I cannot wait to return to Park City and go back to Grub Steak!

I really like this place. The interior is delightfully rustic and old-school. A note to the owner: don’t change a thing! I’ve had the salad bar and trout sandwich. Both are fantastic. The salad bar is so quaint — so many choices and you can even make yourself a sandwich! Our service today was a little slow and he seemed befuddled but I can forgive that. He was very kind.

Will be back again and again! There is a reason this place is packed! I had the ribeye, and it melted in my mouth. My husband didn’t care for his mashed potatoes, but enjoyed the rest of his meal. My daughter had the pot pie, and it was ok. They tend to like and go overboard on Rosemary. It was even used as a garnish. Rosemary should add a subtle flavor, not overpower a dish. Any who, can’t wait to try other menu items in the near future. The salad bar is great, as well as, the fresh bread. Be careful! Easy to fill up before the actual entrée. The atmosphere is happy. The restaurant is clean. And, enjoyed the one man band.

Love this steakhouse in park city! Everyone I come out here we go. Amazing salad bar with every meal is included. The steaks are great and aged m, sides are really good, and service is great! I highly recommend this steakhouse if you’re in the area.

Sadly I can’t give more stars. Loved the place, the atmosphere, the salad bar… but I cannot give more stars because the steaks and entrees weren’t great. Truly wanted to be blown away! But wasn’t.:( Service was good — chas took great care of us and was very attentive. Ordered a medium rare filet off the specials menu, and it arrived medium well. Halibut was cooked perfectly but didn’t have much flavor. Chicken was dry, and the porterhouse was only mediocre. We really wanted to love every entrée after hearing the same chef has been cooking here for 35 years, but no one was overly impressed.

SUCH A GREATFIND! Our bill came out to be $ 129 with a bottle of red wine, 2 entrees, a soup and a desert. Plus you get full access to the salad bar with an order of an entrée. SO worth it. The salmon was delicious, I highly recommend pairing it with the ginger glaze. The bread pudding is a MUST.

Loved the old school salad bar and western family vibe here – like its 1985 again – and the solid steaks. Try the perfect prime rib, the house lager, and don’t miss those big Idaho baked potatoes either. Nice big portions, too, even on the young adults menu. The place is a brief cab ride from Park City’s Main Street.

solid steaks with an extra heaping serving of kitsch. some of the sides were a bit salty, but it tastes like quality meat, and it’s prepared well. i got the largest prime rib they had, and it was a tomahawk chop(bone-in ribeye cut). my medium rare was a perfect medium rare. on the negative side, my waiter forgot my soup, and never brought it. he offered a free dessert to make up for it, but i was already full after the main course and didn’t feel like sweets anyway.

The salad bar here is good and has a wide variety if you want to order just that for your meal. My last visit was for a work function and we had a private room. They took good care of us. The french onion soup is with a try, but it takes a bit longer to get. The food choices I’ve had over the years have always been good.

Place has been around since 1970 and is in great shape! The service was good, our waiter Ben was quite attentive and came off as authentic — which I like. The steaks were excellent! My dad got the 28 oz prime rib which is pictured below(he didn’t finish it lol). The desserts are relish as well, we got the crime brûlée and cookies with ice cream. Overall a great experience, fair pricing for great food and service. It’s easy to understand why they have been successful for 40 years! Bonus was the great live music. One dude on an acoustic guitar playing GREAT songs the whole time we dined(we came in on a Saturday night).

This was a great dinner — I went with a few friends after a day of snowboarding. Atmosphere was great — I loved seeing the open kitchen. The waiter was friendly. The steak was amazing! Salad bar was fresh. Totally awesome. I’ll go back on my next trip to Park City.

Many meat options including wild game, nice salad bar, great service. Get the 18oz. ribeye! We called earlier in the day and were able to grab an 8pm reservation. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the hostess told us we had to wait because folks before us with reservations arrived late. We had some drinks as we waited about 30 minutes and we were pleasantly surprised when our drink order was comp’d. Nice way to turn out bad situation into a good one. I did enjoy the local rye whiskey that was served to me. We had a good Argentinian Malbec and some calamari to start. The calamari had just the right amount of breading and we took care of it fairly quickly. The salad bar as included with my meal and the ingredients were very fresh. I also liked the fresh wheat bread served at the end of the salad bar. Our server recommended an 18oz. ribeye. A few of the folks on my group ordered it and admitted the steak was very good. I opted for the hunters mix grill. I really enjoyed the pheasant sausage… it was very tasty. The beef was also good. One thing that just wasn’t seasoned right was the elk. It was very bland in comparison and needed something. At the end of our dinner, we enjoyed the bread pudding. Great way to end a good meal. I will definitely return.

Lunch was so good, I had to come back for dinner. Lunch was a big surprise. Thought I was drawn by the salad bar and got sucked in by the beef ribs that go with the salad bar. WOW!!! So… I came back for dinner. And it topped the lunch. I had the NY with pepper & onions & potato. Prepared perfectly. I broke down from a strong twist of the arm and had the bread pudding. Let me tell you, their whiskey sauce is bountiful, flavorful, and LOADED with whiskey. Really, really great stuff. Joel was my server lunch and dinner. Did a great job. This is a gem for Park City. Don’t miss your chance fir lunch or dinner. In fact, do both like I did. Thanks Grub Steak…

Great salad bar and Prime rib. Wife had a filet and daughter had shrimp. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere. A little pricey but you will leave full and satisfied.

If you come to PC, this place is a must! Don’t waste your time at the salad bar, which has everything you want, one trip is enough! The steaks are all aged for 30 days before they are even let in the restaurant. The place has been open for 40 years and both chefs have been there 32+ of them, so they know what their doing. Kansas City steak 16oz bone-in was incredible, as was the prime-rib. Make sure you make reservations early if you want prime-rib, because when they run out, you’re out of luck. I recommend the cheesecake for desert, it is heaven in Utah! Will definitely be back on our next visit to PC.

TL;DR: Pretty tasty place for some American food that will help warm up the body during the cold weather. We came in during a lunch hour on a Friday and the front area of the restaurant was only about half full. Not surprising, since Park City got a lot of snow several days prior and most people were on the slopes. They have daily lunch specials and Friday is unlimited beef tacos and runs to the salad bar for $ 10.50. which is not bad. The waiter also told us that Wednesdays are unlimited beef spare ribs, which are massive, saucy, and amazing. The wife got the Chicken Pot Pie — the puff pastry on top was really good, but inexplicably, the stew itself was not piping hot. It was well flavored, though, so we’ll give it a passing grade. I got the beef spare ribs, and for a lot of meat, it’s a great price at $ 9.50 for lunch. Be prepared to get messy, because it’s super saucy(so if you don’t like saucy things, stay away!), but very flavorful. We did not get a chance to come back around dinner time; however, this place is MASSIVE. There is the main room when you walk in, a giant dining room in the back, and more seats up top. There is also live musicians on certain days, with a dedicated stage so that everybody can see and enjoy. Our waiter was a little talkative even though I was busy stuffing my face and we were having a conversation, but it’s okay as he was attentive and was just being friendly. Overall, a good lunch place with those specials. Come in for some tasty food and some pretty decent food to price ratio.
