Sapphire Billiards Club

The place was cool especially due to the lack of night life in the area. I’d probably give it 3.5 stars just because it’s so close to home. The music is pretty good and they have a bunch of pool tables. The prices are reasonable. The food was OK. I recommend it if you’re looking to get out in the area.

I would give this place zero star’s if it was possible! Went last saturday 3÷21÷15 for a birthday party. They wouldn’t let my husband in. They claim it was because he had on boots. Which wasn’t urban wear as they claim. Another family member had the same problem with his casual boots. Not to mention the wannabe thugs they let in, in front of our faces that had gym shoes on! This place is prejudice against whites! I hope they close this ghetto ass place down for good!

I came for a birthday celebration. Upon entering I didn’t know what to expect. The sound system could have been better but in spite of that the music selection was pretty decent. The bartender was pouring strong that evening and I was able to sip (literally) all night on my drink. The food was less than stellar. Overall it’s a nice place.

I attended a birthday party here last night. The décor is a bit dated, but in the dark it’s all pretty much the same. Because I was with a party of about twenty or so, we had a dedicated section and server. The service was good until we had a problem with our drinks. I’ve been drinking for twenty-​five years, and I’ve only sent drinks back twice due to lack of alcohol. The first time was in Vegas, and the bartender simply made me another one, but that option, for some reason, wasn’t open to the waitstaff or bartenders at Sapphire. When we informed the bartender and waitress that our drinks were under-​poured, they had to find a manager. The manager finally came over to our section after about twenty minutes to tell us that he couldn’t/wouldn’t remake the drinks. Really? You have six folks on one tab ordering from the top shelf, and you won’t remake two drinks?
After talking to a few other patrons who’d been there before, we found that they’d also experienced similar problems. I don;t know if they are watering down the liquor or just under-​pouring, but the systematic denial makes me think that it happens too often in this joint.
While we didn’t want to leave our friend’s party over a few watered-​down drinks, we didn’t want to continue to pay $ 9 a pop for club soda and lime, so we ended up just getting bottle service, but be sure that that will be the last time Sapphire Billiard’s will ever get any of our money.
I know the pickings are slim in the south suburbs in terms of nice night spots, but this is not the one. You’d have better luck at Bar Louie’s or Bocce’s.

***UPDATED*** What happened in my past experience is the past. Eddie truly made «second chances» worth my while. I will not write this establishment off completely. They are definitely willing to put in the work to make this place a success. I hosted a very successful event at this venue and my guests were very happy.

What a gem of a place in Park Forest. I was pleasantly surprised by this club. It’s spacious and had good music. I went on a Thursday and they had karaōke which was a lot of fun. The crowd was mature but fun. Although the food was just ok, I would go back in a heartbeat.

Me and over 20 of my friends had a surprise party for my best friend. We bought over 5 bottles, spending over $ 500 dollars. The service was horrible the waitress kept getting our bill mixed up with the other party across the room. They had a problem at the door and since the owner couldn’t handle the problem. He accused my best friend of fighting with him at the door and kicked us out the club. The next day we called and after viewing the cameras the owner realized it wasn’t us, and there was NO apology or compensation for the embarrassment. I will never spend my money there again!!!
