This tiny, but extremely friendly and casual waterfront oyster bar has great baked and raw oysters. I think the menu has expanded since the previous review, as those who do not want oysters can choose from some hot sandwiches(e.g. Philly chease steak, chicken filet, burgers, po boys), hot wings, shrimp, and some typical fried bar food type things. However, if you like oysters the prices are quite low. I had the baked dozen with butter, garlic, parmesan, jalapenos, and cajun spice… tasty. had the raw oysters also. Joey actually harvests some of the oysters served himself, and has a «dirty jobs» video of that process he made which he can show you. This place is an oyster BAR, meaning that it is a good place to hang out for long while over some beers and likely you will exchange life stories with half the customers in the process. a beautiful location on the bayou by a marina, particularly for sunset. A bit recessed from Hwy 98, there is small neon sign that says JOEYS Oysters in front of a gas station, the place is back behind the gas station by the marina…

Really a nice little spot if you’re just wanting some oysters and beer. The price for a dozen is $ 5.75, nice decent sized oysters. The menu is short, raw, baked and shrimp is about it. Beer is where they make up for the cheap oysters but all and all still good prices for the area. Hours are 4:00pm to 9:00pm with music a few nights a week. Had a guys playing the other night when I was there. Was a pretty good time… Going to hit them up a few times more before I leave town.
