Dr. Shah is tremendous. I have two family members that see him. My husband has been treated by Dr. Shah since 2007 for the remnants of a brain injury sustained in a motorcycle wreck. When we’ve had a few bumps in the road Dr. Shah has seen to it that we had the proper treatments quickly. Each time it is life-altering, even though he is just doing what he does best. Recently, my husband herniated a disc and we struggled to get in anywhere for even a consultation with our MRI in hand. Once we met with a spine surgeon, my husband wasn’t feeling confident about the advice. So we saw Dr. Shah who thoroughly explained what was going on, and then referred us into a trusted neuro-spine expert. Thankfully the surgery happened the following week, and we may have averted a very serious set of complications. We moved my sweet 78 year old mom here after losing my dad out of state. She is disabled due to a stroke from 3 years ago. The struggle to find proper care for her has continued over the last 6 months. Through multiple care facilities, Dr. Shah has communicated tremendously well with each doctor that has been treating her seizures and cerebral conditions. We are finally settled now, but I trust Dr. Shah’s opinion on ALL things neurological or stroke related. Our experience with the staff, Dr. Shah and PA Sarah Smith have always been very good. We are notified nearly a month in advance when scheduled appointments need to be moved. Yes, they are very busy, but with today’s communication avenues and ever-changing health care insurance(don’t even get me started, augh!) the persistent patient wins.

Absolutely awful experience! Worst treatment I have EVER had by a medical practice! The comments regarding their staff are undoubtedly true as I had the same experiences. They lied to my husband and I both when we would leave several messages for Dr. Shah or his PA to call us back re: test results, NO call backs at all. Took forever to get a follow up appt. just to discuss test results, ended up having to call the office manager who lied to us again… The most appalling treatment I received came in the form of a certified mailing of a «banned from our practice» letter stating their reason was two«no call no show appts.» and a «zero tolerance» policy. I find that interesting after we called before the first follow up to cancel due to contagious illness– stomach flu, for them to reschedule that appt. 1 week later, and the scheduling gal told us the wrong appt. time! When we got there at the confirmed time they had us down for a 3:00 appt. and had told us 3:30, and like the other review, they directed it as OUR problem, not theirs. My husband left work early for no reason and that made no difference to these people. They recorded it as a no call no show and charged us $ 50 unbeknownst to us! They rescheduled it for another 2 weeks later and I contracted the seasonal flu so we called to let them we would have to reschedule once I was better. Left ANOTHER message for the Dr. or his PA to call us by this time it was almost 1& ½ months since my initial visit and questions were mounting! The staff recorded it as another«no call no show», charged another $ 50, and sent the letter. I came to them for help, not for the run around. I was sick for a solid month with a stomach, cold, and flu virus in November/December so if they expected me to come in sicker than a dog and spread it all just to avoid blow offs and $ 100 in bogus charges that is BAD practice! Stay away this office if you expect proper treatment, my PCP was appalled and apologized for referring me to them– enough said.

Go somewhere else. Its really hard to describe the series of medical mistakes and oversights they made over an 8 month period. If one of my best friends wasn’t a retired physician(didn’t want to drag him in initially, but was at my wits end), I’d have been in real trouble. If that wasn’t enough, they do silly simple stupid things like lying about trying to call me after several days of non-response. Wish I’d listened to these reviews, when I initially took their referral.

Dr Shah and the PA Sara are good to deal with if you can get to them. This may be the WORST office staff I have ever encountered. From the women behind the counters bad mouthing the doctors to them never returning a phone call it only gets worse. They needed to reschedule my appointment for the next day which was fine but when I arrived the next day for my 3:20 appointment I was informed that it had been cancelled and they do not schedule appointments after 3. I explained that it was the scheduler that gave me that appointment and I was told«just so you know we dont schedule appointments after 3pm». Not my problem but she made it so. There minimum turn around time on returning phone calls is 72 hours if they bother to return them at all. If you really want a diagnoses with an explanation this might not be your doctor they really throw pills at the problem and see what works. Dr Shah is a good doctor but has too many patients so getting an appointment with him is fairly impossible.
