Sherwin-Williams Paint Store

terrible experience here. went in to get another gallon of a paint I had bought before, and the guy could not figure it out. 20 mins later I left and went to the location in lone tree. He figured it out in 30 seconds!
I won’t be coming back

I took a chair in to the store so I could get matching stain. The clerk found a stain and he said it was a match. I stained the repaired chair and it was not close to a match. The match was so bad that I had to use the chair in another room.

Wow, this Sherwin is 100% different than the one over by Lone Tree. We walked in the door and started looking at paints and someone came over to help us immediately. He had loads of suggestions on the kinds of paints we could try and what would be the best type for our situation.
They mixed it up right there, gave us an a discount, and we were on our way!

I have to admit I never saw the point of going to JUST a paint store. I mean why can’t I just run to Lowe’s and pick up a can right? Well, after we had a contractor do some work for us and we did some minor touch ups the contractor schooled us that (like everything) if you buy quality, you get quality. Basically, if you buy a quality paint then you get a better finish, it goes on easier, it last longer, and on and on. And from what I can tell, this is totally true. If you are going to paint, go to a real paint store; they know their stuff. I have no idea why the big box stores have crappy paints, but apparently they just do.
This Sherwin is off Parker Road just past Lincoln (on the right). I tell you this because Unilocal hates Parker for some reason and can never get the address or direction right to anything within its city limits. Sorry, rant ended, back to the review.
It is a normal Sherwin with lots of samples off the left and aisles of brushes, stains, and various painting supplies down the middle. We got helped right away and the guy knew his stuff. He definitely saved us some time because we were going to paint cabinets and were approaching it a little wrong. He told us the right sander to use, that we didn’t need primer if we bought certain paints and what color would look good with our floors. I wish I paid attention to his name, because he was super helpful!
Any rate, this is how business should be. Helpful, clean, and they give you a quality product for a fair price!
