We normally love this place, but not yesterday. We paid $ 32 to be treated like we were an inconvenience to the staff who seemed to prefer talking to one another. The only guy working was a young, very quiet guy working in the dining area. When we first entered, a girl working at the counter yelled something that we were not able to understand and then returned to her conversation with her coworkers. We asked her and she said rudely, «Give your order to the girl at the cash register» and actually rolled her eyes as she turned to continue the conversation. The others were hanging out behind the bar area(5 of them) just talking, swearing and laughing. One bearded guy was mixing up a mason jar drink cocktail of something and bragging about how great that was. My wife, after going to one of the silverware stations and not finding forks asked the bearded guy for a fork and was told to just look for one, as he continued his BS session. I picked up most of our order and then returned to get the grilled vegetables. The eye-rolling girl working the counter, acting annoyed I was standing there, said, «They will be out in a minute.» so I returned to my seat. When the plate came out, she just sat it on the counter and yelled, «They are ready!» Lord forbid they stop their bs session and bring them out. We ordered their strawberries and was disappointed that several berries still had stems and brown spots on them. The other food was still good, but I will not be back because food is good at places that also offer good customer service. If they get their employee management issues taken care of, it is a possibility, but very doubtful. I hate seeing a place start sliding down the slippery slope of poor management and poor customer service; they rarely recover.

Piss poor service. Ordered ahead for timed pickup that they hadn’t even started when we got there. Guy ahead of us had waited even longer for his pick up order which also hadn’t been started. A dine in customer asked for to-go box and a very frowny girl literally threw it on the counter to her and walked away. I realize this is one day, but it’s not the first negative experience I’ve had here. I can recall two previous dine-in times with terrible waits and bad service. No desire to return.

The thin crust pizza here is great. Salads are pretty good. Especially the cucumber salad. Bread sticks are ok. Staff is friendly and nice, but the décor is dated. They carry a wide selection of food and the portions are huge. They also have various brands of beer and wine available.

While traveling we stopped in for lunch. We started with the cheese sticks that were amazing! The breading was fantastic! We got a large thin crust pizza after and it was delicious! Then we finished with the strawberries and cream… they were to die for! We even picked up a few jars of the cream to go. Amazing food and hospitality! Wish we lived closer!

Yum! This is a must visit whenever in Parkersburg ~ the house dressing is the bomb! Friendly staff and delicious strawberries and cream too off the night.

Locally Owned and Delicious I visit Parkersburg from time to time. Either for work or an event. Today was the Chick-fil-a Cross Country Invitational. After finishing up the meet at 11:30a everyone was hungry for lunch, because the day started at 5:30a. I decided to treat my family to one of my Parkersburg favorites, Rubi’s. If you can’t find something you like here then you must be mentally ill. To call it a cross between a sbarros and a fazolis would do it an injustice. They do display par cooked pizza and raw entrees on the counter. It is also fast casual dining., but it is clearly unique. Everything is cooked to order and they have a large variety of pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and salads. My kids raved about the cheese calzone. Even saying, «this is the best thing I’ve ever tasted!» They also enjoyed the spaghetti and marinara. My vegetarian wife ordered a stuffed portobello mushroom which came with a garlic breadstick to dip in the sauce. I ordered the chicken Parmesan. It is freshly breaded breast of chicken(not frozen or processed) with marinara and whole milk mozzarella cheese. It included my choice of salads and a garlic bread stick. We split the Greek salad and got their house Italian dressing. Now that stuff is something special. It should have a warning label and possibly be made a schedule II narcotic. It is thick, sweet and contains Italian seasoning with some balsamic vinegar. We bought a jar for $ 9.99. Cheaper than crack but just as addicting. The place is not cheap. You could get out of there for under 10 bucks but it’s not likely. Our dinner for a family of four was $ 45, but we took half of it home for Sunday lunch. Two important notes: –the portions are big! –they sell beer and wine! The reason you haven’t heard of this place is because people keep it a secret so they can have it to themselves.

This is my favorite spot for a calzone. Everything tastes great. I love this place for takeout. The strawberries and cream are really good when they are available.

I usually get steak and cheese hoagie from here which is really good! I also love their strawberries and cream, they are delish! I’ve never had any problems with anyone when I’ve dined in or had take-out. Everyone is usually pretty friendly.

I have dined here several times. When they first opened, the place was never clean. I stopped going after I noted what the place was like. A few years later, a friend informed me that they had improved, so I went to give them another try. Well, the place is cleaner, but the employee’s seem to be uninterested in helping customers at times. I have seen them all chewing gum on several occasions. In my opinion, that is a huge no-no. I do like the traditional pizza. When you order a large, you really get a large! Their Cheese steaks are very good as well. I just wish that someone there would try to improve their staff, and stop allowing everyone to chew gum while serving food.

Moderate to ok, nothing to write home about though. The one BIG thing ill say is that portion sizes to price, you get a whole heaping plate full. Its a order and wait kinda place not a sit down and take your order deal. Was super busy when I visited. Might go back if its the only thing around.

Very friendly staff. The salads are outstanding — fresh and big. You get a lot for your money. The place is small and very popular. Will go back when traveling through the area.

The food was good. Had the chicken parm. It was really good. The others had a pepperoni pizza that was real good as well. Service was good. The issue was it just seemed dirty. Really needs a good cleaning

Terrible — passing through on way to Michigan. Reviews are either bogus or the bar is set very very low in this area. Doubt we will be back in this area but still wanted to provide others a heads-up

Worst service of any pizza making place in the city of Parkersburg. Never saw a place take an hour to make a pizza. RIDICULOUS!

Always hoppin’. This place is worth the stop. Mostly friendly staff and great food. The cheesesteaks are incredible but nearly everything I’ve had is top notch.

Best place in town for value of food. They are one of the few places in town to use fresh ingredients, multiple vegetables, and large portions. I also like that you order at the counter because it makes it faster. Their gourmet pizza is my favorite. Tip: order a small of whatever you order. For example, I can eat their small cucumber salad as a full meal. It is true the atmosphere leaves something to desire. The furniture is old and outdated and crammed into too small a space. Not really a first-date kind of setting. Much more of a casual atmosphere for old friends to meet up. Also, the staff is super informal so they might need a little coaxing to guide you if this is your first time. They are more expensive than fast food and cheaper than fine dining.

Little slice if heaven. Too bad I found out about it after I moved away. Quick service with quality food. Who needs the Olive Garden! Not that I really consider that a great place to chow down. I feel this locally owned business is a way better choice!

The freshness, quality, & quantity make Rubi’s one of my favorites in the Ohio Valley. The pizza servings are larger than most & include meaty & veggie offerings. The cucumber salad is refreshing and light but is a large serving size. The bread is hot and perfectly browned. This is a great stop when in Parkersburg.
