The Fill’er Up

It’s a gas station. Period. Not a restaurant. They have a few tables in 2 different area’s and a kitchen. We stopped in for breakfast, small hot chocolate $ 3 for our granddaughter. The menu is varied with items like sandwiches, omelettes and fries. For the morning hours the classic rock and roll was way to loud. Talking or yelling over the music was crazy.
They weren’t over priced but I wouldn’t expect it at this place. Average prices $ 6.50 to 7.00 for most items. We all agreed the food was OK and we agreed to try lunch one day. The cooks were friendly and so was the cashier.
We also enjoyed the coffee.

Everything has been perfect since my last review. They definitely deserve 5 stars.
Our order is always made in a timely manner and the pizza is the best in town (including PA). We won’t get pizza anywhere else.

The place looks like a dump… Walked in and the lady at the counter was very nice. That’s about all I was pleased with. I had ordered their crab soup… Honestly, go grab some canned soup. Tastes better and might actually be warm. If you are looking for a Flat soda and Food poisoning… This is your spot!

Delicious. This place has the most amazing food. The crab soup is always good and the munchers are addicting. They also put together a mean breakfast sandwich!

Some of the best cream of crab soup around. I grab breakfast some mornings and lunch or dinner later. Friendly staff and owners, awesome food! Reminds me of some of the gas stations down south where you get good service by good friends. I see a lot of socializing when I stop in. Great atmosphere!

This place is in a gas station, looks kind of dumpy but the food is excellent. The Cream of Crab is exceptionally good and loaded with crab. The chicken salad sandwich was superb and piled with chic salad. If they have Baked Lasagna on the special board, get it. The breakfasts are fast and hot, family operated. I live 15 miles away but drive past many other places to go here. You REALLY need to try this place.

We get carry out once a week and we always choose this place. Great prices great portions! There is a store on premises as well for grocery needs as well as gas pumps. Locally owned and operated. They have a coffee bar as well for your custom drinks.

This place is a real gem. They have a surprising extensive menu that one would never guess from the road. Their pizza is cheap and delicious. The breakfast sandwiches are perfect for what you are looking for in the morning. I have not had many of the items on the menu but those foods I have had have been great. Craziest thing is the Cream of Crab is the best thing they have to offer. I would pit it against the Milton Inn’s that you will pay $ 15 a cup for.
We had a family member in from out of town who is a early riser and drove around looking for a place to eat breakfast. He came back and raved about this place that he had found and we all got a chuckle out of it.

Love this place lived here in PA for 16 years I go here for gas lottery tickets and there food is good very friendly staff!

Your typical disgusting roadside greasy spoon. Read some very positive reviews on this place but I was rather unpleasantly disappointed. Place looks like crap when you walk in the door but i guess it also doubles as a gas station. I came specifically for the cream of crab soup and it came out reasonably fast. It was very creamy and rich tasting. Honestly would’ve been a very good soup had it not been served up lukewarm. Then our other food came out about 15 minutes later. Potato skins were dry and cheese fries were dry as a bone. Chicken tenders were decent. Will not be returning. Not worth the 20 minute drive at all.

I typically make fun of my husband for eating food from gas stations. But I was starving the other day and had 30 minutes to kill while I waited for steamed crabs from She’s Got Crabs. I went into the Fill-​Er-​Up to kill time. I was pleasantly surprised by the café ambiance– it doesn’t feel like you’re eating at a gas station at all! I looked over the special menu and saw a fish sandwich with one side for $ 5. I took the gamble and was happy that I did. The sandwich was delicious! I am still craving another one. Perfectly fried haddock on a grilled cheese. Curly fries were equally impressive and for $ 5, it not only satisfied my appetite but left enough room in the budget for a large pizza to take home. My husband eats here a few times a month– he says the cheesesteaks are decent but that the hot turkey platter was to die for! I grabbed a menu on my way out– I will be visiting this place again and it’s conveniently located to my New Freedom
Neighborhood which is always a plus.

Nice staff, great location, and delicious wings! When you don’t have many options around you for carry-​out, it’s a blessing to have a reliable source.

Surprisingly good sub shop fair that is consistently good. The hot wings and subs are great. The pizza is good, but has to much crust. They should expand the toppings closer to the edge of the pie, especially for the kids who are not fans of the crust (most kids).

Do not judge this place by the looks of it when you pull in. It literally is a gas station with a café in it. But the food was fabulous! Best cream of crab soup I ever had, very nice folks. Prices are reasonable. Would definitely eat here again when in the area!

Don’t be fooled by thinking this is just gas station food, the food is GOOD. This place has changed names throughout the years, but I think the current owner has finally figured it out. They have a deal on Thursday nights where you get a free large cheese pizza with the purchase of a large 2-​topping at regular menu price. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend. It’s convenient, cheap, and the pizza is above average.

Pretty special. Great crab cakes, super friendly — kind of pit stop to dream about.

You cannot judge a book by the cover. Very good food and worth a repeat. Shrimp in poboy was plentiful. Wings were good and quite spicy.

Like others said, don’t let the outside or gas station combo scare you. They have about 7 tables and a decent size menu with specials. We had an awesome lunch for two for $ 11 (shrimp melt and burrito). Made to order, good service, mostly local customers. Quick and much better than any fast food options.

Wow! Best meal eaten at a gas station in my life. Stopped here off the highway at the Maryland/​PA border after searching on the Unilocal app for somewhere to eat lunch. Super-​friendly family run diner with gas and minimart. Homemade everything. Cream of crab soup is rich, with a slight spice kick, and full of plump crab chunks. Hand cut fries were crispy and delicious. Fried oyster sandwich was pretty extraordinary by any standards, and the crab cake sandwich satisfied my never ending craving for crab cakes. The crab cake had more zesty zip than the usual, but was very tasty.
They had a Maryland crab soup I wanted to try also, plus a huge menu of subs, pizza and breakfast items.
Definitely will stop again next time we pass through.

I was skeptical when I first stopped by because I did not know what to expect. A co-​worker told me about their cream of crab soup so I decided to stop by since I was in the area. I wouldn’t say the cream of crab soup was the best I’d ever tasted, but it was pretty good. I would definitely purchase it again.
What my co-​worker did not mention was that their portion sizes are HUGE!!! Definitely a plus on my end. My husband and I got a cream of crab soup to split and we order two cheesesteaks with bacon. The subs were delicious, overstuffed and well worth the price we paid. I took away one star because the girl who prepared our food did not wash her hands before, after or during the time she cooked our food and even dug her hands inside the fridge, took out lettuce for is to see and threw it back into the fridge compartment. This place could use a face life inside and outside but that is the least of my worries when the food is super delicious!
