Amazing subs. My go to is the demolisher it’s so good. Best sub place around you can’t beat them. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming should have at least a ATM in there since its just a cash business though

Great subs! Perfect bread, meat and cheese ratio. The garlic pickles are delicious and the brownies they had when I went were SO good – chewy and moist and super chocolate-y. Very happy with this sub shop and will definitely be back. FYI – bring cash! Its cash only!

Hands down the greatest sandwich shop I’ve ever eaten at. So many variations to choose from and such great flavors coming from each sub.

We don’t usually have any problem with the subs here. However, today both of our subs had onions on them, which we asked not to have. We also bought a bag of Wise BBQ potato chips that expired on January 11, 2016. Today is the 29th. I called to explain the situation and the person who answered told me I could bring stuff back and get new subs and chips, but didn’t seem to care that the chips were expired. He explained that they buy the chips from Shoprite and that Shoprite must’ve sold them expired chips. Regardless of that they should absolutely be checking their stock! We had already eaten the sandwiches after picking off all of the onion. Because of this no refund was offered and we were only given the Shoprite excuse. Definitely not great customer service.

Very affordable subs. This place seems to do a great job when making subs. Decent amount of meat and fresh ingredients. Just be careful of the busy times, lines get long. Calling ahead is a great idea. Def my go to sub shop and recommend it !

Easy place to find. Love the building its in, you can tell it has history. The chicken cheesesteak was one for the record books. Perfect amount of meat, bread was perfect, and the employees were very helpful to say the least. The place is run like a tight ship and I love that. I’ll for sure be back!

Very good breakfast sandwiches. Definitely get your money’s worth and everything is fresh, including the bread. Cash only but no ATM is my only gripe.

I read good reviews on this place and I figured I would try it out. I got an Italian sub that was perfect. The meat was plentiful and the veggies were fresh. I will be back!

Best jersey subs in the area! Their menu is very extensive and the prices are very affordable for the huge portions you get. You can literally get anything your heart desires on a hoagie roll and they’ll build it for you. Or you can choose from one of their extravagant subs they’ve made up, like The Demolisher. I love the classic Italian with peppers or the cheesesteak with bacon and fried onions. Delicious! A must try place if you’re in the area!

Had the pleasure of grabbing a sub here this afternoon, and I am incredibly impressed. As a self-proclaimed sub aficionado, I must say these subs are some of the best I’ve ever had. Overwhelming selection of subs, generous portions, fresh ingredients… this place is def worth checking out!

The sandwiches here are really good. They have alot of selection and some specialty subs as well. Its a great place to grab a bite. Only negative is that it is cash only but as long u you know that prior to going all else is good.

Excellent subs! There is always a line out the door which is what got me to go in. I am now a regular here nothing like a good sandwich shop, their breakfast sandwiches are on the money too.

Yum! Big Wally’s subs are the real deal! So many options to choose from that it makes your head spin. I was stressing out trying to decide which one I wanted to try. Ended up getting the large(it’s huge) Linsanity, which was excellent. The place has a real nice hometown feel to it too. Tons of pictures of the high school football team all over, which I thought was really cool.

I usually wait until at least a second or third trip before I write up a local establishment, but it’s pretty obvious that Big Wally’s has something good going on here. If there’s one thing you can rely on finding in Jersey, it’s a decent sub. But rarely do you come across a sub shop that really stands out from the rest. Big Wally’s definitely stands out, quickly joining the ranks of my other personal favorites, which include Carluccio’s of Marlboro and Defonte’s of Brooklyn. Sayreville should be proud. If you’re a first timer like I was the other day, you might want to read the menu in advance. Upon walking in, I was immediately seized with information overload. In addition to the big board menu that hangs above the counter, there are sandwich options written across all of the walls in every direction. Things are moving so fast and furiously inside, you might find yourself being asked to order before you’ve even finished taking the whole scene in. As for the subs themselves, I went with a half«Big Wac.» This is Big Wally’s version of a cheesesteak Big Mac, complete with pickles, fried onions, thousand island dressing, lettuce and tomato. Talk about a mess to eat, my god. I must have went through 1,000 napkins to polish this thing off. While I was definitely impressed with both the speed with which my sandwich was made, as well as the quality and quantity of the ingredients, this particular combination is just a little too much in terms of competing flavors. When I’m eating a cheesesteak, I want it to taste like I’m eating a cheesesteak. But by the time you pile on all these extra ingredients you all but drown out the taste of the steak inside. My bad. I panicked and ordered the first thing I saw. In reading through the full menu, however, I could see this kind of thing happening with a lot of their subs. I’m not really sure that if you’re eating sliced London Broil on a sub, that you really need a layer of pork roll on there too(the«Blade»). Same goes for mixing grilled chicken with London Broil(the«Vac Attack.») But good news if you’re like me and like to keep things simple — Big Wally’s has all the classic standards you’ve come to expect in a sub shop. In fact, I can’t think of any combination you couldn’t manage to create here, because Big Wally’s pretty much has something for everyone — vegetarians included. I will be back, without a doubt. Only this time I will plan ahead and maybe bring a few of the boys with me so we can try a few different sandwiches in one sitting. If you haven’t been to Big Wally’s and consider yourself a sub connoisseur or just love a great sandwich, definitely bookmark this place. As many reviewers have said, you won’t find a better bang for your buck. And be sure to bring bucks with you, because Big Wally’s is a cash only establishment.

You don’t get better, fresher, tastier subs than this place. I’ve been going here since I was a kid, and it is still just as amazing. The atmosphere and staff are so friendly and welcoming, and the deli meats are so fresh. LOVEIT.

I’ve been to Wally’s a few times and I must say they never disappoint. This place makes excellent subs. They have a dozens of different subs and each name is unique and some are quite funny. The staff is very friendly and ordering is fast and easy. The wait time, pending on how big your sub is, can vary but is usually very fast. The only down sides is 1) it’s cash only 2) the place can fill up quite quickly during lunch time so be prepared to grab and go. Thumbs up to Wally’s!

I am in town for work and as always when traveling I like to try the local places to eat. Unilocal introduced me to Big Wally’s and I headed up there with 2 coworkers. Ordering was fast and stress free. The sub itself was extremely good. The staff were extremely friendly as well. My coworkers both really enjoyed their food. Two warnings about this place: 1) The subs are very greasy. This is not a bad thing however if you are looking for a healthy sub look elsewhere. 2) They only take cash. They don’t have an ATM on site either. If you are like me and don’t carry cash on a regular basis you will need to run down the street to find an ATM.

Just happened to swing by after Unilocaling subs so I popped into pick one up to bring home for the kids. Oh man was I pleasantly surprised after my first visit. Magnificence, the«Big Wally» is an Italian Sub on steroids with all the wonderful meat and all the works that you would normally expect including hot or sweet peppers unbelievably humongous and fresh! $ 10 for an over packed 2 feet of wonderful meat goodness. They also have an unbelievably large hot sauce, potato chip & refreshment selection so go nuts baby. I’m not all that accustomed or quick to be posting 5 star ratings especially for a sub shop. After several overly satisfied visits I’m quite comfortable stamping my highest seal of approval. I promise you will not be disappointed. Super friendly & quick service. Dining room is cramped with seating booths for about 10, but who cares it subdslicious!
