North River Veterinary Hosp

We have been taking our dogs to North River Veterinary Hospital since this facility opened in ²⁰⁰⁵⁄₂₀₀₆. Over these nearly 10 years we have paid this vet for bills totaling in excess of $ 15,000 for the up to 6 dogs that we have had at 1 time.
Although prices have typically been on the high end I have noticed an increase in the padding of procedures on the bills and my average vet bill has been increasing over the past few years. I once had a heated telephone conversation with the staff person at the front desk when someone in our household took 5 feral new born kittens into the vet to explore finding homes for them; only to be given a $ 196.00 vet bill for an unwanted examination of the kittens.
More recently we went back to the vet to pick up our dog before undergoing treatment because they wanted payment up front even though we have always paid the vet bills promptly over the 10 years we have used their services.
North River Veterinary Hospital shows no loyalty to longterm customers. Their staff don’t have a clue about providing good customer service and being friendly. The requirement of payments before procedures are completed and the padding of bills has pushed this longterm customer to another vet.
There are a number of other vets in the immediate area and I strongly recommend that you explore other options for your Vet needs before taking your pets to North River Veterinary Hospital.

We have been using the North River vet for years now. All of our pets have been treated and cared for by Dr Stacy Nelson and her great staff. The care is second to none and the treatment is always the best solution for the animal. We never feel rushed and the staff always explains the options and cost upfront before any treatment is provided. The staff is extremely knowledgable and and has always been so sensitive to our needs. Even when we had to put our pets down, Dr Nelson and the staff make it as comfortable as possible and spend the time needed for the family to prepare. Top notch service with a caring touch. We couldn’t ask for a better vet or group of folks to take care of our pets.
