Food was fine. Not worth the crappy service. Waited 5 minutes for the waitress, ordered our coffee from the manager who brought it out. Waited several more minutes for the waitress so we could order apple juice and food — I had to ask her where the apple juice was after another 5 minutes of waiting, AFTER she took another table’s order and gave them their drinks. I don’t know how hard it is to bring a cup of apple juice. That must require higher level education. There are much better diners and restaurants to go to in the immediate area. Will NOT be coming back.

Food was pretty bad, worth a 2 star review, but my experience with the manager(owners daughter) Dina would make me give this place a no star review if possible.

I have gone here every once in a while only when there is no option for anything else. The staff are rude, don’t even acknowledge your existence until you complain after half an hour of waiting there to place your order on even a water. Again, only worth going to if it is the ONLY place open(however there are many other diners open I. The area that are much more competent and better)

It’s a greasy diner but their strawberry waffles and bacon, were really great and my friends loved the strawberry cheesecake and western omelet! I love breakfast so if your going for that I give my thumbs up.

The managerial staff here is obnnoxious and rude. Some of the wait staff are excellent but we will never step foot in this place again due to the rudeness of the owner.

Two stars because the food was decent. A nice omelette and a good size portion of bland home fries. Some in my party had their food come out cold. It took forever for the entire order to come together, complicated directions such as bring the coffees with the food, were too complicated. My BIGGEST issue however was the fact that there was no changing table in either bathroom. We had to change our eight Month old between the two sinks in the men’s room. There were many other families with young children so I’m not sure how they solved this serious issue. Won’t be returning.

Poor service. My family and I had supper here this evening. Food came out fast, but that was it. The waitress we had came to the table only once after that. After we finished eating we waited at least 20 minutes for someone to give us our check and box our leftovers. After our kids started getting antsy and ready to leave/fussy, we asked a bus boy to get/find our waitress. Instead he brought another high chair? Not sure about that. Then we asked the hostess for help. She and the owners had seen and heard the fussiness from our kids and seen our eye contact for quite sometime, but did nothing. The hostess then sent a different waitress over to help us. She told us that our original waitress had gotten too busy with another party. Ok, well, maybe someone should have come and checked on us earlier. Hostess, owner, other waiter, bus boy… anyone! Needless to say, we won’t be coming back here ever again!

Absolutely horrendous experience, I’ve been going there for years and it just seems to get continuously worse and worse. I was served food tonight that I wouldn’t give to my worst enemy. The salad was old and wilted with some foreign object in it. The mixed vegetables if that’s what you want to call them were soggy old and wilted like they’ve been in water for a week… when the waitress finally did come over after a while to see how my food was. Explain to her my dissatisfaction and she didn’t seem the least bit concerned. So on my way out I explained the situation of the poorly prepared and served food to the little Greek man who’s the manager? He didn’t seem too concerned either about what’s coming out of his kitchen… he claimed not to know how bad the vegetables were. If that’s the case they won’t be getting my business anymore

This was one of my worst experiences ever. Coffee was old, dirty water glasses, dishes piled up, bathroom so dirty… ugh. So, the food… AVOIDLIKETHEPLAGUE… WHICH is probably what I left with after eating a couple of nachos.

We stopped in for a late breakfast on a weekday. There were about a dozen takes occupied in the place. all with business men having meetings. There were two servers tending to those tables, mostly consisting of refilling coffee… That’s why the time it took to be approached by the server, then the time it took for her to take our order was so disturbing. Once she took our order, the food(Taylor ham & egg and a Spanish omelette) was out of the kitchen in about 4 minutes… remarkable… the food was great, hot and good looking… that cook has some talent. I’m hoping the wait staff has a better work ethic when it’s busy because I wouldn’t return based on their performance… although to be fair –they were constantly refilling my coffee… but I would return for a mall that comes out of a kitchen THAT fast…

I love diners. You can practically get anything you want at any time of day. However, the service at this place, at least on nights, just plain sucks. There is one waitress who is very friendly and good at her job. The rest of the people don’t give a F&%K. The owners or whatever they are look like they want to be left alone. They don’t even try or pretend to be welcoming. The food is OK and they are convenient which is why I end up back here once in a while. Ugh.

Just visited the joint today. Ordered the«surf and turf», which came with a «filet mignon» and lobster tail. I am very familiar with the world of filet mignon and lobster tail… and what I was served dang sure wasn’t it. After waiting 30−45mins for my food, I bit into the toughest lobster tail known to man! My knife would not even cut through the«filet mignon» in the manner in which it is to be cut. I figured that I could stomach the meat as long as I could ditch the weak attempt at seafood. I explained to the person at the front desk that I did not eat a portion of my meal. She looked at me for so long as if she didn’t even know what I had said before telling me that there is nothing she could do. Filthy bathrooms too! Ugh

Do not eat here. All the other bad reviews are spot on about this place. Right down to the hostess, who only said one word to me and the guy I was having lunch with…“Two?” she didn’t even crack smile or say hello. She rushed ahead of us, set the menus down on the table, then walked by us making no eye contact as she returned to her post, staring out the front door. My co-worker ordered the egg white omelette and liked it just fine(that’s why I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1). I ordered the Honey Mustard Chicken Sandwich. It was ok, but the chicken tasted microwaved and was quite bland. The appearance of this diner could benefit from a top to bottom clean up. I mean, the old school chrome diner look looks great in this place. It would even better if it was clean. All in all, I will not be dining here again. I’d say maybe it was an off day, but over 50 reviews and 2.5 stars kinda paints an accurate picture of what you could expect here. Good Luck!

Ok. I eat here A Lot! Some things like the breakfast is consistently the same. No complaints. The rest… well I… um… well it’s like roulette. The ‘Mexican’ panini wasn’t a panini! It was flat bread with cheese, chicken and something that was supposed to be salsa. I asked about the lemon meringue pie and the server said that it was made a some days ago. WHAT!?! Spaghetti and meat sauce is good. bLt(small b, large L, small t) was a dry iceberg sandwich. Fried chicken is good. Burgers are ok. Potato salad is dry and tasteless. It’s diner food. I guess I should just say EAT the breakfast!

Honestly I hate this diner and each time I go, and reminded why I choose not to go there.(Last time I was there they drizzled American cheese all over my disco fries, and almost argued with me that that is how they come always.) Anyway, unfortunately, it’s the only super convenient diner, so the morning after Valentine’s Day my girlfriend and I decided it was a quick and good option. It’s not to say it was the worst meal we have had, but it just isn’t worth paying any money for. I got a ham and cheese omelette which was fine. My girlfriend got 2 scrambled eggs, toast, and taylor ham. The eggs were wet, and slippery. The taylor ham was so thin it was nearly see through. We also ordered 2 large orange juices, which I kid you not were in glasses that were maybe 2 sips each. When the waitress put them down I hesitated, thinking she must have thought I said small. I said, «is this a.» and before I could even finish she said, «yeah…» Just not worth the money at all for less than mediocre food.

Well, it’s been almost exactly 6 years since my family had stepped foot into the Empire Diner. We have been avoiding the place since my last review in 2009 due to cleanliness issues. But time was short, we were already on Rt. 46 Eastbound, and we decided it was time to give the place another chance. Mistake. Walking in for breakfast, we were ‘greeted’ by one of the surliest hosts there is. Not mean, but not friendly. We’re seated and immediately noticed that the cleanliness was just as we had remembered. One of our coffee cups had dried-on egg yolk coating one side. The other coffee cup had a nice big chip in the ceramic. We both ordered omelets and toast. The service was actually pretty good and fast. Maybe too fast, to be honest. By the time we noticed an issue(like the egg on the coffee cup), the waiter was gone. Food arrives, all looks good… But wait… Wrong toast(wheat instead of rye)… And hey, is that a nice, thick hair on my wife’s plate? You betcha! Empire Diner needs to be condemned, stripped, re-stocked, and re-opened by a new management team. What a shame. I’d love to see a great diner at this location.

I got buffalo wings and two sunny side up eggs, corned beef hash, and homefries. Compared to other diners, the price is the same but there was so much less on the plate. Also there were such little wings… Definitely paid at least $ 1 for each wing. Maybe more… Price was more expensive than other diners as well…

A diner that has certainly seen better days. Stopped in for breakfast and left disappointed. My egg white omelette was full of canned vegetables and my «extra crispy» potatoes were bland and parts were raw. The corned beef hash was also out of a can and looked like dog food. Our waitress was very pleasant but the lady who snatched my card to pay and then muttered under her breath what I can only assume was something not so nice can go play on 46. Skip this dump.
