Howard Johnson Express Inn – Parsippany

No complaints… want to add a good review since the majority on here from years past are bad. i guess they made some changes for the better since then. check in was speedy, staff was friendly enough for the 2 minutes i spent at desk. Room was clean, sheets and towels clean. Heat worked just fine, as well as mini refrigerator. For the price, i would def. stay here again. Easy access to major highways and restaurants (fast food and upscale)

Calling this place a fleabag would be upgrading it is unworthy of any such thing. Had a friend come from Tennessee and another one from Kentucky, rooms around was all sold out, came here they tell me they had rooms available when into and found out why. I would not leave any of my in such places like this, hate peeling off walls bands like they had mold on the sheets horrible!
If I booked my friends in here I’m pretty sure they would not be my friends the next day. Had one come over to the room I was staying at once let that the foot of my bed in the other slip in the recliner.
They thanked me again in the morning for not letting them stay there, see I do have a conscience-​not much of one but it’s there.
You have definitely been warned. Ramada Inn down the road a much better choice for a much lesser price.

This place is just scary. Probably one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. Should be featured in hotel hell.

This place looks a tad prison/​horror movie like when you first arrive. There are/​where also piles of construction debris littered about in some of the off set corners of the building with a tad of trash. The quality of the hotel improved upon entering and appeared to be about average of a HOJO Express.
Check-​In was quick and efficient with no problems from the front desk. No despot was required upon check in. The room was a nice contrast from the out side appearance. There was a large spacious bathroom, plenty of channels on tv, & FREE WIFI. No unusual scents or stains where noticed in the room. The renovations appeared to be hurried. But otherwise no complaints. The free breakfast was exceptional quality for the price, small selection of fruit, eggs, a small array of breakfast meats, waffles, juice cereal ETC.
