Horrible. Ignorant. Unprofessional. I will NEVER step foot into this paint store ever again. I unknowing went in on Friday at 5:45pm.(The website I checked made a mistake and had the closing time at 7:00pm) I waited for 5 minutes prior to anyone acknowledging me. When I finally was acknowledged I had several questions about different kinds of paint. I was given short, curt answers. Finally I said, are you closing? The salesperson said, yep, it’s 6:00pm, gotta go. Then he turned off the radio and turned his back to me. I said, ok I’ll take my business elsewhere. He could care less. I hope NOONE goes into this store and gets the same ignorant, rude treatment I received. DONOTGOHERE.

I was here a few days ago in the Decorating side. I was ignored by the clerk here who was glued to her computer. Area was empty. Girl was all made up as if she has a date. She never even greeted me, ever even picked her head up. I almost walked out until another woman popped over and helped me. This was Joanne. Time was short so she offered to email me pricing on Hunter Douglas items. Was there today in the Decorating side at 10:30 am. Store was empty. I hoped to see Joanne because my husband and I were ready to make this purchase, plus we decided we wanted to add more rooms to the order. We were ready to spend thousand at your store. Unfortunately the same dolled-up girl was working here again. And again she stayed glued to her computer monitor, never greeted us, never looked at us. My husband wanted to see some other Hunter Douglas item… so I had to play Employee and go gather the books to show him myself! You think that idiot would notice we were pouring over books and offer to help. Nope! We were disgusted. On our way out my husband yelled to her, «thanks for all your help». She never looked at us or apologized. You lost a big sale with us. Your employee is an idiot… you should fire her or put her in a place where she doesnt deal with customers.

I am only reviewing the paint side of this store, not the fabric/decorating side. If you want to be an ignored woman, go here… I stood around for 15 mins while the male customer(looked like a contractor) got the attention. However, I had been there both before and after that customer, and, as I said, was ignored. I stood right there, in front of the ‘desk’ where the clerk was, and didn’t even get eye contact or an «I’ll be with you soon» comment. Nothing, nada. The only reason I went there was because I needed add’l paint for a color purchased there. Pissed off, I left and stopped at the Sherwin Williams store about ½ mile west… they were very friendly, and more than happy to help me. Plus, they were able to make up the color I needed to match up to. Customer service folks — when people can go anywhere to buy the same type of product, it’s customer service that will get me back.

After having a less than pleasant, ok let’s call it miserable experience at the Lodi store I was hesitant to ever visit a Ricciardi Bros again. I don’t care how good the paint quality is when the experience of buying it sucks so bad. So alas when we came up a square foot or two shy in our powder room, and my husband was sure that another quart of the Benjamin Moore Willow Creek gray should be mixed in the same machine to stay true to the color, I wasn’t willing to risk it at Lodi again. Long story short Steve and Jonathan in Parsippany were FANTASTIC. Knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, witty, everything a frustrated and tired pregnant gal could want on her second time to a paint store in as many days in the midst of a renovation project riddled with problems. You need paint? Go to them. Kudos guys, I was really close to telling anyone who’d listen never to go to any of your company’s stores again.
