We were driving through the area and found this spot on Unilocal.Rather inconspicuously located in a strip mall by the highway. Cute deli décor with plenty of seating. There weren’t too many people so very quick service. Incredibly friendly staff behind the counter. I got the Chicken Italiano. Great meat to bread ratio. The 8 grain toast is solid. Balsamic adds the right amount of tang. He got the T.B.L.T. «Delicious and exactly what I was looking for.» They don’t skip on the ingredients. Fresh turkey. Also on the yummy 8 grain toast. They have a large enough cup for unsweetened iced tea. Prices are fair. Great experience. Delicious. Would recommend for sure.

BEST. SUBS. EVER. Been coming here for years & it will forever be my favorite sub shop. The workers are quick & really friendly and the food is delicious. Great paninis too! Love it, its a must try spot!

Got a mozzarella & roasted red pepper wrap. It was pretty good — kind of fell apart within a bite or two, though. Included their basil mayo, which just tasted like regular mayo to me. Overall good wrap.

Staying in a local hotel and there’s not much to pick from regarding food in the area. Saw the sign on the strip mall main sign and didn’t know what it was. Only when I drove by did I see that it’s a sandwich shop. First time here so I can only go by what I ordered. The tuna salad sub. I like a good tuna sandwich, but not tuna paste. Couldn’t identify anything in the filling. It was pretty much all blended together. Taste was fair. I also didn’t appreciate the extras, lettuce/tomato/onion etc. just sitting out on the counter, not chilled or covered. Overall, just one step above Subway, and that’s not saying much.

I’m sure it’s s great sandwich/lunch place, but It’s a terrible breakfast place. Ordered Taylor ham egg and cheese on Kaiser roll. Lost my appetite immediately when they made the egg in a plastic container in the MICROWAVE. Just plan ham that they microwaved too… Not Taylor ham.

I must say tge service is fast and that sandwich was pretty amazing. The bread alone was spot on. The key to any good sandwich is the bread first and the great wazu nailed it. It is in a shopping center so there is available parking. You can tell the place gets pack do i would come before yge lunch crowd or after. I went at 12:30 and walked right through. Talk about fast service. Bring cash because it may just speed up the fast service anyway but they do take credit. Just go order a sandwich man. You’ll thank us later. Honey turkey with american cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, oil, and vinegar. Perfecto!

Came here yesterday for lunch and it was decent. I got a turkey cheese on a wheat bun. The turkey and cheese were were great but wasn’t too much a fan of the bread, tasted kind of stale. The staff were nice and helpful. Place was pretty clean and lots of tables to choose from.

Nice little stop not far from I80. Boyfriend and I shared«Roast Beef Insanity» but got the chipotle sauce on the side, as well as a side of basil mayo.

This place is great! I grab a lunch from here to go from work with co-workers from time to time. I always try something different and so far they have all been great. Please be aware the line gets pretty long during the lunch hours, so if you are driving from a distance, make sure to call up prior and order through the phone so you can pick it up when you get there, unless you are eating at the spot.

Great place for lunch. Every time I go, I get the Chicken Club, never fails me. The specialty mayo really hits the spot. Service is always quick.

We just had sandwiches from here the other day, they could tell we weren’t feeling well(my husband was sick) and they helped us out immensely. The young man behind the counter read the menu to me(I forgot my glasses) and offered helpful tips for each(I.E. it’s better with mayo/chipotle) On the way out, they just suggested that we toast our sandwiches at home — and it’ll be warmer and more crispy. They were right! Delicious! Definitely a family favorite!

We never ate here before or even knew this place existed and just by chance came across it and decided to go in. We are so extremely happy that we did! This is one of the best places we have ever gone to eat. Not only was the food incredible and the wraps huge, but the owner Joe was very accommodating and had an awesome personality, one that you don’t find much anymore. This definitely brought us a whole new perspective to our day since we had the worse night prior. If we lived in this area we would probably be regulars here, but if you are near by it is definitely a must go! Overall one of the best experiences we’ve had. It’s a no wonder why they are celebrating 30 years of being open. Can’t thank them enough for this experience!

Stopped here as a last minute effort to cure our hangriness before it got scary in the car. SO happy we did! The place is a typical-looking deli. Booths & a walk-up counter where you order & then have them dress your sandwich the way you’d like it. The staff was very friendly. We ordered The Sal(with no cheese), and the famous tuna salad sandwich, both on white bread. We added hot cherry peppers to The Sal, and added lettuce, a little fresh basil mayo, and green olives to the tuna sandwich. They were both sooooooo yummy! Don’t know if we will ever be driving that route again, but if so, this place is a definite lunch stop!

Yum! Husband works near here and took me for a «day date». I had the Gobbler with no tomatoes or mayo. I’m normally VERY picky about my turkey breast, but I had no complaints with this sandwich. It was delicious and I’m already ready for my next visit!

Great Big Sandwiches… plenty of options. Although it can get pretty busy at lunch time, they make the best they can out of their space. I love the Roast Beef, the Turkey, The Chicken Italiano and the Italian Hero or wrap Pro Tip: don’t forget to grab your chips and soda before you get up to cplace your sandwich order, it’s a bit difficult to swim against the tide and cut back through people to get these essetials once you have placed your sandwich order All in all the prices are decent, off hours are probably easier to get in and out, but good stuff in my book

These people deliver for breakfast. Enough said in my book lol. I have had breakfast and lunch delivered. Breakfast I get the Taylor ham egg and cheese on a bagel and for lunch I always get the roast beef sandwich. Delivery is fairly quick and the service over the phone is always good. They even deliver in Sunday’s

I went back to the great wazu based on Joe’s response to my prior review. As I mentioned, I had some doubts about the smokeyness of the Turkey. Well, I can officially and happily confirm — the great wazu has a smoker and they are certainly very focused and proud on the quality of their products. Thanks Joe. That aside, the great wazu is very diverse deli with many personal touches. In my opinion they’re still relatively expensive compared to their peers, but if you’re willing to pay for selection and quality this can be a good choice.

This is a pretty standard New Jersey sandwich shop, complete with New Jersey accents and attitude(which I enjoyed). But the food is just kind of meh — it’s fine, but nothing to tell your friends about when you get back home. I was in the area for a conference, and ate here twice. The first time I got a buffalo chicken wrap because I was craving some buffalo sauce. The wrap was pretty disappointing — the chicken was only slightly buffalo-y, and there just wasn’t much flavor to it. HOWEVER, it was really large. Think burrito sized. And not a small wimpy burrito. A full size burrito. The next day, I gave the Great Wazu another chance and got a turkey wrap. Again, just meh. I felt like I could have just made it at home, although, again, it was burrito sized. There just wasn’t much flavor or anything interesting about it. I really hate saying this because I want to support family and small business, but honestly I think a place like Subway has better tasting sandwiches/wraps than Great Wazu. It seems like they have a lot of loyal customers on Unilocal(which is why I went and gave it two tries), but it’s just not that exciting to me.

So a little New Years change. Usually get soup so I tried the chili. Could have been served a bit warmer but if you like chunks of onion this is for you. I usually get chicken or tuna salad but today I went with a «Sal» which is a hot tasty sandwich with a nice combo of roast beef and pepperoni. Through in the onions and ground pepper and you get a nice bite. Enjoy the new year Unilocalers. See you at Fitzgerald’s 1928 tonight.
