Americas Best Value Inn – Pasadena / Arcadia

So here’s the rub, it’s not the Ritz but for $ 100 you get a bed, a shower, and wifi. Many would complain that it’s not the cleanest and it’s dimly lite. All true but if someone else rated your home you may not pass as a motel 6. My need was last minute and I was glad to have a place to sleep and get some work done. Don’t trust hotel beds? Then get a sleeping bag for $ 20 at Big 5 which is only a block away. There is also a quaint little bar and a dispensary a block away. In short it’s nothing but good for whatever you are up for.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. First, the rooms are supposed to be non smoking but as soon as you open the door you get a huge whiff of cigarette smoke. Everything was filthy. The bedding, floor, bath tub, shower curtain. If you wanted to watch tv, you had to get up and use the cable box to change the channel instead of using the remote. There was absolutely no parking. I literally had to park on the sidewalk which obviously didn’t sit too well with me. Nothing looked like the pictures at allll. Do not stay at this hotel. Abort mission.

Me and my girlfriend had all types of problems with the rooms we were in. The first one, the towels were dirty. The shower curtain had mildew all over it. The room was very dusty. We requested to be moved to another room where it was no better. The shower /​tub was stopped up. Had to stand in a shower full of my own dirty water. Whom ever the maids are they are not doing a good job. When I was there I didn’t see any maid’s. And the morning guy customer service was horrible. Along with the horrible breakfast.

I booked a last minute King non-​smoking room on Expedia.
The bad: Key didn’t work and needed to be reprogrammed. Very dark parking area. Room appeared clean but when covers were pulled back there was a long hair and two nasty looking stains on the sheet. Bathroom small and smelled moldy.
The Good: Non smoking property, Reasonable rates, Convenient location, Coffee maker, Hair dryer, Microwave and mini fridge, Iron and ironing board, Large room and ample counter space near sink, Writing desk, Continental breakfast.

Do not pass go keep looking, a place for going to shooting up, a complete DIVE, Everyting is filthy, they say Non Smoking, however you walk in the room and a huge wave of smoke air is permeated in the room, completely disgusting. Don’t waste your money!!!

My family and I stayed here and it worked better than expected. We tried it out for 1 night then bought 3 more nights for our stay. Excellent room for the rate. Granite shower walls and bathroom counter. Microwave and small fridge. Nothing over the top at all but everything worked and we got everything we expected for the rate.
New carpeting, better microwave and fridge would make it a 4 star. The carpeting seemed pretty clean but it was definitely old. It had worn areas by the door where they put a small door rug over it and by the bathroom staples were coming out of another worn area of carpet where they should have put a rug-​unsafe-​but really? Just replace the carpet.
Continental breakfast was not… more of a ‘grab a bite’ than a breakfast. They had OJ-​sometimes, pre-​packaged pastries, oranges and apples, cereal and coffee too. Best part? Bagels, no toaster.
Cleaning staff was respectful of our belongings and certainly made us feel better about being in a low star hotel with our valuables. Unfortunately the bathroom door was never cleaned and who knows the last time it was because it showed. There was also tagging etched on the inside bathroom door frame I never noticed until moving out.
No sign of bugs or even a worry they would arrive. Very clean. We felt safe. No sign of sketchy activity from partons whatsoever. Nice appearance from the outside. Seems to have had recent/​fresh paint.

I book this hotel thru a popular travel site.
This hotel was terrible.
Its not in a safe area and When I arrived the police were leaving. I had to change rooms 3 times due to safety lock being broken off, room too dark, room was dirty. After asking to change my room for the need time I decided not to stay after being there for only 45 mins. I asked for a refund and they woman at the desk refused. To room was non refundable but I had no idea that it was such a bad hotel. The right 5Hong to do would have been to refund my 90 $. I contacted the popular travel site and asked them to remove this hotel from their site.
Do not stay at this hotel!!!
