multiply those phrases by about 10 times is how our adventure was this afternoon. ya think everything was 50% off and from italy? sheesh! he was pushing that just a bit hard.
he thought we were filipinos (no offense to filipinos but we don’t look the least bit filipino). then he proceeded to refer to all asians as orientals. i was ready to leave at that point. but my friend… who has been shopping for a wedding ring for over a year finally found the one she wanted here. so she bought it.

(he also «accidentally» added another $ 60 to the total after tax. hmmm… really? when we called him on it, he apologized and gave her a $ 50 gift certificate.)
