Amazing tea! But you need to plan to wait at least 10 min(sometimes 15) for any tea! But it’s really tasty

I came here last night with a friend to try some of their tea. I tried their Houjicha iced tea, which I pronounced incorrectly the first time around. It had cinnamon in it which I LOVE. I told them a little bit of sugar and it was perfect! They have quite a few drinks that you can add boba too as well. My friend tried their oolong tea with boba in it and he enjoyed that as well. They have indoor bar style seating as well as some tables inside and outside. The staff members were very cheerful and made some suggestions when we told them it was our first time there as well. They have some background music with creates some ambience and its not annoying like some other cafes. I will definitely be stopping in again!

I usually get the lychee oolong but today I opted for something a on the fruitier side so I tried the tropical sunrise tea. They are now serving boba so I decided to add some boba to my drink. I think the boba might have over powered my drink but all the flavors were just really light. I wanted some super fruity drink and this just didn’t hit the spot. If you’re going for light and all natural this would probably be what you’re looking for but I wanted more than just fruit water. At least they have happy hour from 3−5pm and I saved a dollar.

I like this place a lot. It has a nice generous sidewalk patio area and the best bathroom of any business in Old Pasadena. It’s clean, well kept, and burns incense. Incense in the bathroom! The place itself is well lit with natural light and charming enough. The tea and drink selection is robust, the staff friendly and polite. De Lacey Park & Walk Garage is right across the street with 90min free parking and if closed due to being full a few other local parking choices are near. Oh, the coffee here is also good and steeped while you wait. And waiting might be some of what you do here, especially when busy. The price we pay for a great cup of tea prepared right, however. And well worth it at Bird Pick.

This place is heaven if you’re a tea person!!! It has great number of jars full of loose leaf teas and tea-making equipments. Ugh. That’s love.

I work 2 jobs in Old Town, so in between I always look for new places to chill for a few hours. I don’t like hanging out at Starbucks, and the local Coffee Bean has a nice patio, but only 3 seats inside. One day, I stumbled into Bird Pick-and I’m forever in love. Now, I’ve only had products from their tea bar thus far, and haven’t partaken of their loose leaf tea, but their selection is quite impressive. But their tea bar is amazing. They brew things as you wait, so you know it’s fresh. They are willing to combine different teas, and flavors. One day, they even made me a Jasmine Rose Mint Green Iced Tea!(It was divine!) It’s a great place to come in, read, write, or just people watch. They always have good, ambient music on, and friendly patrons. I only wish they were open earlier.

Very nice small shop atmosphere. It is in Old Town so just know parking is gonna suck in prime time, but there are ample options and a lot across the street which will cost you a bit. Went in and was bummed they did not have gift cards due to switching to a new POS system(which is what I was told). 1 Star deduction for that as I was going in for a gift for friends during the holidays and not the kind of move you want to make that time of the year. If I was a bit more prissy, I would have walked out and hit Teavana… LOL. Anyway, the girl behind the counter was extremely helpfull and I told her what kind of tea I «thought» my friends liked and she recommended a few choice selections. Did a great job of pulling it together and a wonderful job of wrapping the gift up. All in all, great experience, they have a fantastic selection of items. Will be back for sure.

*** My 100th Unilocal Review for 2015! *** And just in time for the end of the year. Bird Pick is located in the cute shopping area of Pasadena. It has a very wide selection of cute tea-ware and varieties of teas to sample. Along with that, there are drinks available to order at the bar. I ordered the Sunshine Lemonade(one of the O.G. Fusions) which includes white tea and lemonade. It was refreshing, light, and not overly sweet. My friend ordered the Tropical Sunrise which is basically the Sunshine Lemonade with additional hibiscus and another flavor. The Tropical Sunrise is very visually pretty and I’m sure the additional flavor complemented the drink. Sunshine Lemonade is very classic and light as well. Bird Pick is distinctive because although it serves its teas in cute plastic cups, it does emphasize the natural flavors of teas and are much less artificial than other tea houses. I highly recommend this tea house if you want to peruse, study, sample tea with their tea services, or just want a light and refreshing drink on a hot day.

While waiting for an appointment in the area, I ducked into here to grab a hot tea on a cool afternoon. What a peaceful hideaway from all the hubbub on Colorado! It’s a tea shop & café with lots of seating. Eclectic mix of knick knacks. Also, they had me at Louis Armstrong’s La Vie en Rose playing in the background. I ordered an Almond Black Tea w/condensed milk(they also have almond & soy) and grabbed a seat by the window for people watching for the holidays. What a great retreat! I’ll be back.

I need to try the lychee oolong tea next time to see what all the Unilocalers are raving about! With that being said, I got a sugar free tropical sunrise and it was fresh and tasty but not amazing. The barista making my drink wasn’t so friendly. Anyways, the loose tea leafs are 30% off right now. I got a bag of tea leaves for $ 7 bucks. I will be back to try the lychee tea and the matcha green latte!

It’s a neat little place to stop by during your shopping around the block. I ordered lychee oolong tea with chia seeds. It tasted clean and fresh, just the right amount of sweetness! I would definitely come back and try others. Service was good.

The lychee oolong is really refreshing! The lychee flavor isn’t too strong, but I can barely taste the oolong. It’s not too sweet but just right. Perfect for a hot day! Also the upgrade to a large was only 25 cents so there was no question what size I would get. The place itself is very cozy with people sitting around doing work or just talking. They have ALOT of teas, I will definitely be back to browse around here and try other drinks.

My favorite tea place in the whole world. I love the lychee oolong tea here. They put lychee purée and one piece of real oolong fruit. I’ve tried the other drinks there but lychee oolong is the best one. There is a parking structure across the street with free 90 minutes parking and a lot of metered parking nearby. At most there are 2 – 3 people in line, so getting your order is really fast. This place is located on a side street of old town Pasadena, so it’s walking distance to all the hot spots. There are usually plenty of seats available inside as well.

This tea house is different from the typical 626 tea houses. There is a bigger emphasis on the natural tastes of the teas themselves and there isn’t much sugar, which is great. They had a lot of great tea options and while there was the milk tea option too, I decided to not try it. I got the lychee oolong tea, regular size. Apparently, on the weekends, every drink is $ 2? And an upgrade to large is only a quarter. The oolong tea had lychee purée on it, which was interesting. There wasn’t an overwhelming lychee flavor like there can be with other 626 type lychee teas. It was lightly flavored oolong and went well together. This tea place is not that spacious, with about 3 booths and two tables. I can see it as a place to hang out with friends although there was somebody working on a laptop. Next time I come, I definitely want to do the weekend specials and try their milk teas.

Got to come here for their $ 2 everything all weekend special, and I probably walked away with 8 – 9 drinks for myself this weekend. This place is AMAZING! Not only are their drinks good, their service, the location(across the street from one of the best parking lots in old town) and the décor and location are all on point. This place is definitely the place to be at if they are having a sale/special on their drinks. It’s the perfect place to study, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and they have a plethora of different drinks, from fruity teas, milk teas, and even coffee! I’m sure you’ll be able to find something you like, and unlike most other tea places, I believe that the drinks here are actually more tea than sugar, and they all taste amazing!

I’d been trying to come to Bird Pick, but there was always other places to explore in Pasadena. My wonderful boss gave us the coolest Christmas gift from this place, and I finally made the effort to go to Pasadena for Bird Pick. The workers were friendly and they greeted everyone. Ordered melon drop, just because I love melon drinks. Melon drop($ 4.95): the worker called out LEMON drop, and I thought I heard it wrong. I asked the worker if it was my MELON drop and she said yes. Red melon drink… hmmm that’s a first. I tasted my «melon» drop and I was disappointed. It was just sour and I couldn’t taste the tea at all. I read the menu again and they this premium fusion melon drop is tea with hibiscus and cucumbers. OK… I guess melon = hibiscus + cucumbers at Bird Pick. I wouldn’t mind if the name didn’t match the ingredients, but my tea was really bad. I wanted to drink tea, but I couldn’t taste the tea… and this is a tea house. Free fast wifi. QUICKTIP: PARKATONEOFTHE90MINUTESFREEPARKINGSTRUCTURES. 2 stars! Bird Pick Tea & Herb is not yummylicious!

The teas here are very delicious! My favorite is the ‘Purple Drink,’ which is lychee purée and hibiscus tea. It comes with a whole piece of lychee in it as well. The hibiscus is a bit sour/tangy so I ask for extra lychee purée to sweeten it up a bit. So good! I have had other teas here as well, the the tropical sunrise– they are all good, but my favorite is the purple drink! The staff is friendly and there is free 90 minute parking in the garage just across the street!

One of my Pasadena friends took me to this hidden gem place in Old Town Pasadena. We both ordered the purple drink that has lychee juice with Hibiscus. It wasn’t too sweet in a beautiful purple color with added lychee fruits making it romantic to drink too. This is a great place to take a break to get refreshing juice or tea drinks while shopping in Old Town Pasadena or just a good place to chat. They have many selections of tea leaves in exotic unique flavors that you could buy by the oz or lb. It may be a bit expensive then you’ll be getting good quality teas so you don’t want to always be too cheap if you really are a tea drinker. If you’re in the area be sure to visit this place you might be coming back again.

This is one of my favorite tea places. I love how unique & real their teas are. Their flavors are different from many other tea places. It’s not made of powder but brewed from real tea leaves. My kind of tea! I always get the Oolong Longan Tea less sweetened because I don’t like sweet teas! I prefer them unsweetened actually, but this one is really good sweetened. I love love love the taste of it & there’s a real longan fruit at the bottom :) They don’t fill the whole cup with ice unlike many other boba places which I appreciate so I’m getting my moneys worth. The interior is also very cute and pretty hip. I’ve studied here before but it’s not really a study place, but more of a catching up with friends environment. The workers have always been very welcoming & willing to help everytime I’ve gone in. They have a stamp card, so remember to get one if you are planning to go back. Which you should, because the tea is so good & refreshing on a hot day while you’re shopping in old town!

I love Bird Pick, best place to come & grab a great cup of tea. So refreshing & delicious. I highly recommend the Hibiscus Lemonade & Lovers Tea – both are iced & delicious(not too sweet– which I like). They also have a great selection of loose teas, my favorite is the Chrysanthemum Flower Bud. Service is great too. Overall, if you’re in Pasadena, definitely shop by and grab yourself a cup of tea :) xo, Naomi
