Awesome individual pizza selections, fresh toppings to a thin crust. And the price is amazing! A great meal for less than $ 8.

Friendly service and delicious pizza pies? Hell yeah! You can’t beat this place. I lost count of how many times I was greeted by the workers. During the lunch rush, make sure you already know what you want in our pie, because it’s fast-pace and the line moves quickly. Other than that, all I can recommend is get your butt to your nearest Blaze and try it!

A little late to finally try this build your own type of pizza joints. Am not a huge fan of pizza but the 7.95 build your own definitely changes the picture. Split 2 pizzas 3 way and was able to try a very delicious white and red pizza each. Great place for me to explore my creative pizza designing skills. Ample parking. I parked around the corner in the residential area.

Other than you not really being able to see the menu while in line over all delicious. They need BBQ sauce!

There are many build your own pizza places and I have tried several of them, but Blaze is by far my favorite! And this one in Pasadena especially. My friends and I dine here often, the service is always excellent! When I have friends come and visit Pasadena I make sure to bring them here. You really can get your pizza any way you want it and the s’mores, if you haven’t tried them you must because they are delicious.

It’s fast alright, so fast I didn’t get to finish building before they shoved it in the oven. Customer service tonight sucked, I’ve been here before and had better service but tonight it seems like they had way to many people making the pizza and they were not communicating with each other. Before one person was finished putting on toppings the next was taking over. Asked for tomatoes and literally got 3 grape tomatoes on my pizza.

I heard that blaze had good pizza so I wanted to come experience it for myself. Walked by 10 minutes ago(6:50pm on Sunday which is during business hours according to google and Unilocal) and they have tables and chairs blocking the door and like no one inside… Did something happen to close the restaurant tonight… I still want to try the pizza as I heard it is quite good, but next time I guess I will call before I decide to come. I assume this isn’t a common occurrence. EDIT: I’m upgrading review to 3 stars as Blaze pizza reached out to me about the issue and attempted to make it right. Since they did the right thing, I think the extra star is fair. I will update my review and actually include the pizza when i finally get to try it. :)

Long wait, small selection of toppings and sauces… not my favorite build your own pizza joint.

Build your own pizza with an unlimited number of toppings. It’s a good choice for picky eaters, families, or folks with particular dietary needs. Too many choices? When in doubt, pick from pre-determined menu choices. The first time I came here I actually ordered online via Blaze Pizza website. I ordered a White Top pizza with white cream sauce, mozzarella, garlic, bacon, oregano and arugula. Upon arriving at Blaze and checking in at the register, staff popped my pizza in the oven. Less than 10 minutes later, it was ready and boxed up to take home. But when I got home, I found the pizza was missing arugula! Sorely disappointed they forgot to add this ingredient. Blaze usually adds on arugula last after the pizza is cooked. Other than the missing ingredient, I liked the pizza. It had a toasted, chewy bottom crust and the ingredient combo minus the arugula was tasty. Since my first visit, I’ve been back one other time and brought my husband. Unfortunately I didn’t like it as much. Due to certain ingredients, too many ingredients, who cooked my pizza or perhaps the pizza crust recipe itself, my pizza came out with a soggy bottom crust. Meh. It was not as satisfying to say the least. 3 stars. Great concept, but after trying other nearby subway-ish pizza competitors, this one is just okay. I prefer 800 Degrees down the street.

I love coming to Blaze pizza! I always get the build your own because I love adding a lot of toppings! And what’s great is that it’s cheaper than your typical chain pizza places for all the toppings you are getting! It can get pretty busy and the line gets long but it goes by quick surprisingly. Love it!

Blaze makes it possible to have made-to-order pizza during your lunch hour. The line moves pretty quickly and it really isn’t long to wait after you pay to get your pizza. I have yet to try the build-your-own pizzas because I’ve found the Signature Pizzas to be fairly good. I think there are about 10 to choose from. Linkin/Italian: Italian sausage, roasted red peppers, sauteed onions, mozzarella, red sauce –Good balance of ingredients. I think the roasted peppers make the pizza. Meateater: pepperoni, crumbled meatballs, red onion, mozzarella, red sauce –With a name like that, I guess I expected it to mean more meat vs. more types of meat. BBQ Chicken: grilled chicken, mozzarella, red onion, banana peppers, gorgonzola, bbq sauce –I liked the concept but didn’t like the gorgonzola. I felt that it overpowered everything else and didn’t go with the BBT sauce. The crust is thin, which is how it cooks so quickly. It’s also a good amount of food for a work lunch. Could I eat more? Certainly, but I also don’t want to be napping during my post-lunch meetings.

I like Blaze. I like it more than Pieology and 800 Degrees, which offers a similar service. First, the price is fantastic for your own custom made pie. Staff is super friendly and the line moves fast, even when it’s 20 people deep. The best part about Blaze over Pieology is that they offer whole roasted garlic cloves and fresh mozzarella. Pieology only uses the minced garlic and not so fresh mozza. PLUS, they have that delicious blood orange lemonade that I’ve grown to love. The only downside is that when there’s a lot of pies being made, they can(and probably will) fudge your order. So be careful about potentially biting into someone else’s pizza.

For a time I was visiting Blaze at least once a week, sometimes more often, and almost exclusively their Pasadena location. Blaze’s thin crust pizzas are fast, inexpensive, and seriously addictive. The line is always intimidatingly long, but there are plenty of people behind the counter for a reason, and things move quickly. I love the concept of the build your own pizza with unlimited toppings at a flat(and affordable!) rate. You’ll walk down the conveyor line adding all you want(don’t overdo it, though, or your crust won’t properly bake. more is definitely less). Or you can choose from a handful of their signature pies if you’re feeling too overwhelmed by the choices at hand. Then you’ll wait like 3 minutes for your pizza creation to cook(the longest 3 minutes of your life). Then you’ll scarf down the entire thing and not even feel bad about it. Then you’ll dream about said pizza and come back again the next day. Lather, rinse, repeat forever and die happy. Except here’s the thing I wish Blaze handled differently. With the number of staff on hand, I wish they’d dedicate a single person to each part of the conveyor belt journey — one person on sauce & cheese, one person on meats, and one on veggies — to minimize cross contamination. They offer all sorts of dietary accommodations like gluten-free dough options and vegan cheese and plenty of veggies to pile high, but none of that matters when those same gloved hands were just touching the very thing you don’t eat. Not only that, but they use the same pizza cutter to cut all pies at the end of the line. So us veggies are risking getting meaty bits on our otherwise veggie pies. I’ve also seen bits of meat in the veggies directly adjacent to the meats. Totally unappetizing to a vegetarian. So while I appreciate Blaze offering vegetarian options, they really need to work on their follow-through.

I tried and failed twice in liking this place. Got a build your own and a Caesar salad… All I can say there is a serious lack of fresh ingredients. Top it off with a crust the tastes like a cardboard box and you’ve got yourself a pizza and a slightly moldy salad. The one serious bright spot is customer service is on its A game. Unbelievably friendly and courteous employees.

I love love love thin crust pizza! Blaze makes individual sized thin sliced pizzas fresh to order! To me it’s easier to just pick one of the pre-made options instead of creating my own pizza. I have tried all on the pizzas on the menu and I can’t say there is a bad one in the mix. I especially like the meat lovers and the green stripe. You can also add or subtract toppings from the pre-made options to further customize. I think if you can eat a LOT in general, you will be able to finish your pizza. But in general, each individual pizza should be perfect size for an individual. I personally couldn’t finish mine, but I only had a small slice to take home. Self-seating can get difficult and lines can get long during peak hours! Street parking only. TIP: they sell small bottles of wine!(red/white)

A busy place with really good pizza in California. The pizza is hand made in front of you. Think Subway. It’s very busy and moves very quickly. $ 5.00 for a cheese pizza and $ 8.00 for as many topping as you’d like. Great deal with really fresh ingredients. Totally worth the trip. It’s a great deal and good tasting pizza delivered in around 3 minutes. Be aware that each pizza is about 10 inches and good for one person, if that. I will be back because of the taste and convenience. Give it a try.

By far the best customer service ever! I had 3 pizzas to order and the line was suuuuper long. I didn’t want to hold up the line so I tried my best to order as fast as I could, given that all 3 pizzas were different, the servers were really patient with me, and I literally apologized repeatedly for losing my mind over time management and deciding which pizzas had what sauces and what toppings. I’ll just describe my own because it’s my review. I always get the usual BYO pizza. –BBQ Drizzle –Mozzarella –Ham & Chicken –Pineapple –Onions –Bell Pepper –Mushrooms ***with extra drizzle of bbq sauce on top! As soon as my pizzas were done, I went to get a seat and at this time(7pm) the seats were filled. My friends found seats at the patio area so we sat there instead. I opened my box and only half of my pizza had extra bbq sauce drizzle over it. I didn’t care too much since I was super hungry so I ate the entire thing. Basically half of my pizza tasted wonderful and the other half wasn’t as pleasant because it was kind of plain. Either way, I understand the struggle of working at a heavy traffic business so I’ll be generous with the rating. I’ve only been to the Blaze in Glendale Galleria and this one so far, and I like both of them! Very good and friendly service!

The pizza wasn’t bad. It just wasn’t that good. It almost reminded me of one of those personal pan frozen pizzas. The line was pretty long, but it moved at a decent pace. They have pizzas that you can choose from or you can create your own. I ordered the«simple» pizza, which is exactly what it was. It came with mozzarella, parmesan, red sauce. I wasn’t expecting it to be exploding with flavor since it was just a cheese pizza, but I thought that the cheese would at least be good. The crust wasn’t very good and it wasn’t very cheesy for a pizza with 2 different kinds of cheese. It was cheap, so I have no complains about the pricing… but I do feel that it was lacking with the crust and cheese.

With all these pizza places opening up it seems that everyone wants to cash in on the business whether it be from Pieology, The Pizza Press, 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria and Blaze, there certainly is no shortage of places to get your customized pizza fix. This particular location is in downtown Pasadena, good luck finding parking here since it is a nightmare filled with one way streets and lots of pedestrians walking around. There is a lot where you can pay for parking but why do that when it should be FREE! Luckily, I was able to find a parking spot on the street near the restaurant which was nice or else I would have been stressing out. This Blaze pizzeria is fairly large, when I came on a Friday night, it was very packed but the lined moved very quickly. It only takes 180 seconds for the pizza to finish baking and the pizza is a fixed price for as many toppings as you want. The service was very friendly and the employees were very efficient on the way they handled the barrage of oncoming customers. My pizza ended up with: classic red sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, bacon, banana peppers and basil. I think that thin crust pizza should have a minimal amount of toppings, some people go overboard and get like 7+ toppings on it to the point where it does not even count as a pizza anymore, rather just a large pile on random ingredients using the pizza crust as a bowl. There is plenty of seating inside and the bathrooms are surprisingly clean. Be warned though, the pizza is fairly small, I was pretty hungry and when I finished mine, I was still hungry and could probably eat 2 more if I really wanted. The problem is that with this thin crust of pizza, there is not much dough used so there is not enough carbs to fill your stomach up and make you full. There needs to be a perfect ratio of dough and toppings to make the perfect thin crust pizza and sadly this place falls short of it. In my opinion, Pieology does it better! As a big fan of pizza as I am, this place is «A-OK» at best, to be honest, the pizza I make at home is probably better. CC out!
