I can’t think of any reason to take off a star. Been there with my wife twice for a late lunch, and both times were a perfect experience. We’ve been greeted promptly and courteously. Serving time was ideal but we were there at a slow time anyways. Appetizers we’ve tried are delicious. Pizzas are amazing and unique(brick ovened). Place is clean with a nice setup. The bill, in my opinion, is not steep for food of that quality. We will be back.

Quality pizza joint… great place for a first date. Prices were fair. Waiters were excellent and very polite. Margarita pizza is always a go to when critiquing a pizza joint, if they don’t have the foundations covered then how can you really assess the high quality stuff? You can’t, theres no way around that… would definitely attend this joint again.

Loved the Negroni Estate. The Pizze with shrimp and Pesto was spot on, delicioso. Nice crisp crust on the edges good olive oil, as far as I could tell. Not too many shrimp when you look at it but just enough to make it good. Bombolini were nice and chewy with Hazelnut spread on the side. They were only like 6 bucks. Awesome.

I’ve been here twice. Once to eat pizza but it was a long time ago so I don’t remember what I ordered. On my recent visit, my friends wanted a quick drink so one of them suggested going here. The place is known for their pizza. :Drinks: I don’t remember all the drinks we got but for the most part, we drank them. One of the drinks I got did not taste good to me, it’s called The Solerno; it was very bitter. :Food: On my first visit, I recall the food being average. Second visit, we got the Diavola Pizza which has crushed tomatoes, red bell peppers, Calabrese, garlic, mozzarella, olio, and basil. The Piatto Misto is a sample of Italian meats, cheese, and focaccia. The food was perfect to snack on with our drinks. :Customer Service: When I told the bartender I didn’t like my drink, she changed it for me. Service could have been more friendly. :M’s Notes: ~Happy Hour: 3 – 6:30(Monday to Friday) ~Parking: Street and Lot ~Indoor Seating

Omg their are so bomb! We had the chef’s special lamb stew pizza with beet salad, the(I forgot the name) sausage pizza, and the prosciutto plate, which was delicious! Their prices are reasonable, the dining area and bar are well set up, good, friendly service and it was fast, their restrooms are nice and clean. We would definitely come by again when we’re in the area!

We went here on a busy Saturday night. My mom, being the responsible one, made Reservations, thus we were seated right away. The various pizzas, which I tried four sharing off family, were tasty good, my favorite is the pizza carbonara. Pizza is more along the lines of traditional Italian, which is a plus, reminding me of time spent visiting my brother in Roma. Atmosphere is lively but suitable for group conversation. Nice location in Pasadena. Would go again.

Came in for a quick bite before a show at The Playhouse. Friendly and prompt service couldn’t make up for mediocre food. Pizza was so wet and soggy, the toppings and cheese just came off — unappetizing looking slob. Besides the pizza I ordered an appetizer and a side salad, which were ok But! The main dish of this place is pizza !!! Which was awful :(we ate the crust but left the wet chewy dough on the plate.

I have been wanting to try this out place out for a while. We finally bit the bullet and went on in! We got seated immediately and proceeded to check the cocktail menu. We ordered the old fashion with no cherry(well made) and Selerno(delicious). For dinner we opted for the following: Insalata salad — I could have devoured two plates easily! Made better with olive oil Misto– perfection selection of meat with accompaniments with perfectly toasted puzzle bread Arancini– wasn’t too impressed with it. The marinara sauce made this deep fried risotto okay Bianca Pizza — delicious and light. No tomato, just the way I like my pizza. Who doesn’t like prosciutto and arugula? Yum! Service was good considering that the place was short handed. Parking was structure or street if you were lucky enough. I will be back. Especially during happy hour!

Love Settebello! It’s pretty reasonably price, the service is good, and the cocktails are amazing! The Blaze next door must have plenty of competition… except Settebello is way better in my opinion. I came in with a group of four for an early dinner. It was pretty crowded already around 5:15ish. So they said we could wait for 20 minutes. Instead, we opted to sit at the bar, which is full service. I had the Spicy Baja(I think that’s what it’s called). It’s a jalapeño infused tequila drink with ginger beer and passion fruit purée. It’s so so so so so so so so so so good. You MUST try it. I liked it so much, I was inspired to go home and infuse my own tequila with jalapeños to try to recreate that drink. For dinner we shared the Margarita Doc, which is margarita pizza with buffalo mozzarella cheese and the Mortadella on the Salumi menu. The Margarita Doc was fantastic. The pizzas come personal size. Cooked in a brick oven, the crust was crispy and slightly charred, and the toppings tomato sauce was so delicious. The Mortadella came out too, and it was huge! It was a board of meat with a personal pizza sized side of bread to eat it with. What a great dinner. I will definitely be coming back. I really want to come back during happy hour too, the prices looked great!

I love this spot as it is spacious. Service was good. And a great place to chat(private). We got a bottle of some delicious wine. Heard hh is like $ 5. I don’t recall the name of the red wine. Then also got: –beet salad with arugula. It’s good but it’s easy to make yourself –arancini is not the best I’ve ever had but big in size. Is this even a real thing in Italy? –got the pizza special which was good but a bit soggy in my opinion. It’s hard to find good pizza in Cali. Yes I’d come again… But I don’t come to Pasadena very often because it really is very far(and hot!)

Aside from wearing a dress that looks like the napkin… It was great! Staff was lean with only two or three handing the entire restaurant/bar and half of the restaurant was quite full with several large parties at 3 p.m. I sat at the bar and didn’t even get acknowledged for probably 5 – 10 minutes. I just wanted a quick late lunch. I ordered a rocula salad which is a plate of arugula and lemon juice(add oil, salt and pepper because it’s tart!). Also, I got a margerita doc pizza which uses mozz di bufala which is softer and creamier and meant to be much better. Pizza was good, but not my complete favorite in terms of Neapolitan pizza. It does have the normal tip sag, but that’s not my style. I like it to be a tiny bit firm and not watery/saggy in the middle. It’s still delicious and it was pretty quick(albeit the service wasn’t). The bar guy who took over the bar girl who originally served me was great and gave me extra spicy oil when I took half of my pizza home. I’d come back! It’s good and think anybody who likes Neapolitan pizza should try this place!

I’ve alway had good experiences at this restaurant when I lived in Pasadena and on my visits since I moved. Each pizza is an individual pizza, so you can order a couple to try different combinations, but don’t just get one pizza to share unless you get a side. I always get the Bianca pizza. It has a cream sauce with prosciutto and fresh arugula and Parmesan cheese on top. It’s a good mix of cooked and fresh. They also now have lunch specials. The one that caught my eye was getting an 8″ of any pizza for only $ 9. Would definitely try that at some point!

I’m originally from Napoli and got to say this… I finally found a place that does a great pizza! Now I miss little less my city and its food! Pizza here is amazing! Staff is also very good… Quick and fast service, I would love to listen to some Italian music while in the restaurant and have more Italian spoken In there, but can’t have everything right? Amazing pizza I’m going back soon! Prices are reasonable, pizza goes from 12 and up depending on what you want to add to your pizza! Try mozzarella di Bufala very good taste! If you want to try a good pizza with the real Italian taste go to Settebello, if you want a pizza with regular taste from the USA go next door… Here the taste is incredible like the one we eat at Napoli!

I’m a pizza snob. Grew up in Boston area, so I should preface with my snobbery. Service was good. We got two different types of pizza. They were OK. A nice, thin crust. But nothing that super wow’d me. I appreciated the flavor profiles, but overall it wasn’t enough that I would go back.

I can see how this place would impress. The service is great. The atmosphere rivals it and for the quality, it’s well priced. Meanwhile, we weren’t impressed with the two pizzas we had(although the salad we ordered was great). We came here from The Valley after a friend raved about her decade of wonderful pizzas here. Unfortunately, ours were undercooked, both of them. The bottom was mushy and more than damp. Having eaten brick oven pizza in Europe and nearly every state in the US it’s obvious our experience wasn’t the norm. In fact, as we left I scanned tables and noticed other pizzas with crisp crust that were cooked properly and patrons enjoying every bite, which we would have too. Give this place a try. I’m banking on our experience being extremely rare. There’s an obvious strong following, backed by better than average food, and even with cheaper, quicker oven pizza places sprouting up in the neighborhood with weeds, this is still the best.

The ambiance is very casual with friendly service, nothing spectacular. I came with a big party so I was able to try out a lot of different dishes. We ordered a couple of appetizers, salads, our own pizzas, and finished off with a tiramisu for dessert. Food: –prosciutto: delicious –bruschetta: topped with prosciutto, tomatoes, and onions. slight kick to the dish. This dish was very tasty and would recommend as an appetizer. –arugula salad: Small and simple. Literally just arugula with an olive oil dressing. Okay, but wouldn’t order again. –beet salad: Colorful presentation and was delicious if you like beets. –tiramisu: Standard tiramisu garnished with very hard sugar cookies. Perfect size for 3 people to share after your meal. Pizza: We all ordered different pizzas. The pizzas are all individual sized(6 slices about 12 inches). The crust and dough was on the chewier side. I got to standard margarita pizza and thought it was decent. My party got an assortment of various pizzas. The special pizza of the week was a 4th of July inspired margarita pizza topped with hot dogs and french fries; it was definitely unique. Part of what makes a great pizza, in my opinion, is if it can taste just as good the next day. Unfortunately, the pizza didn’t pass my test, thus my reason for it being just ok. Overall, the appetizers were very delicious. The pizza was average, but didn’t taste good the day after. Unfortunately not one of my go to pizza places in Pasadena. Parking: There is street parking or a parking structure next to tender greens. Street parking is free after 7(i believe).

I had high hopes eating here after reading some of the reviews. The ambience was very chill and relaxing. I like how they decorated the brick oven. It felt like a hip place to hang out for good food and drinks. But boy was I wrong with the food experience. Maybe I came on a bad day. But I went with a group of friends and no one was impressive with their food We ordered the Sabatella pizza, marguerite pizza, and a salad. The salad was very plain and bland and not worth $ 6. The pizza tasted more like just dough. They didn’t add much cheese and the toppings were so scarce. I had to add a lot of Parmesan cheese on the side but it just didn’t taste the same. For a $ 15 pizza, I expected to taste fresh ingredients with more toppings so I can actually taste the flavors. Pizza Hut and dominos have better pizzas than this. At the very least the servers were nice but they were not attentive. At least they were pretty good at refilling our drink. We had to wait for over 10 mins before we finally were able to flag someone down for service.

Service — Excellent! The waiter immediately greeted me upon arrival for the reservation my friends had, he even asked if we were celebrating any birthdays which we were. We were informed on the sizes of the pizzas, thickness, the menu explanation, favorites and if anyone had nut allergies. Food: I shared 4 different types of pizzas with my two friends; settebello pizza, shrimp pesto pizza, cherry pancetta pizza and a meatball pizza. Each pizza was about 10inchs, and close to paper thin. The shrimp pesto was a huge favorite of mine, shrimp was cooked great and the pesto was light, the other 3 were pretty good as well, the cherry pizza was a surprise, it was a special written on the wall, so I am not sure how often they offer that. The waiter brought out a nutella pizza for the birthday boy, which explains the«are we celebrating any birthdays» The nutella pizza was actually pretty amazing, it is a bit smaller than the pizzas, but not by much, and it is filled with delicious nutella, fresh bananas, powdered sugar and some almonds. Even if you aren’t celebrating a birthday, you should definitely check out the nutella pizza!

I finally got to try this place which has locations in Nevada, Utah, and Los Angeles. I’ve had the gelato at the SLC location and it is excellent, but did not try the pizza yet. So, this was my night to try it while working n Pasadena. NOTE: The Pasadena location does not have gelato… which is quite the bummer, but the pizza does make up for it. There are several pizzas to choose from, but I had to try the Margarita DOC as it is highly recommend, and I echo that recommendation. It is an excellent neopolitan style pizza with fresh ingredients and chewy crust. Some may not like this style, but it is very fresh tasting, and quite good. It is large enough to share if you get some appetizers, but I could see some one polishing it off themselves with a hearty appetite as it is thin crust. The Involtini Salad with prosciutto wrapped around arugula and goat cheese was quite good for sharing between two people. The draft beer list was decent with a Smog City Pilsner, Allagash Black, and St Archer IPA. The wine and cocktail(mules) list looked pretty good, but I honestly didn’t focus on it. Sure this place is more expensive than nearby Blaze pizza, but it is worth the splurge for better pizza in my opinion. Now I will have to try one of their other locations while working in Utah next month.
